“My puppy had a great time with Mary Jo and her family. She was amazing and accepted our last minute booking to save the day! She kept me posted on how he was doing too which was so nice. I wish I knew lots of people in the area so I could recommend her personally. I am so grateful to her and her family for taking such good care of my guy!!”

“This was my first time ever leaving Ange. I was a little nervous, but everything went great over all. Carolina text me through out the day and made me feel so comfortable with me leaving Ange. I will definitely use Carolina in the near future.”

“Karen was a great dog sitter for our little guy. She sent photo updates, was kind, & we knew our dog was in good hands. We would definitely book with Karen again. Thank you.”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

“We were in town visiting from Virginia and needed to find someone to watch our baby Jax for a day. So glad we found Elisa! She was very responsive to our request and was able to accommodate our change in pick up time. I can tell her and her family treated Jax like one of their own because he adapted so quickly! And I can tell he had a lot of fun because he instantly went to sleep. We’ll definitely book Elisa again if we need another sitter when we’re back in town!”

“Quincy and Zali had a great time with Erica and her family. They seemed to enjoy their stay and slept well after their visit. Looking forward to using Erica and her family again for future stays.”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my entire life, from farm animals to beloved pets. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs after caring for my Pomeranian, Coco, in her old age.🪽I’m calm, patient, reliable, and experienced with all personalities, routines, and medication needs. I treat every pet like family and every home with respect. I’m a full-time student online, so I have plenty of time to spend with pets. I’m active and love getting dogs outside for walks and hikes, and I also make sure they get enrichment through play, structure, and mental stimulation. I practice a lot of this with my own dog, Brownie. I’m experienced with dogs of all ages. I’ve cared for my own dog, Brownie, from her puppy days and know how important patience, guidance, and consistent routines are. I follow the routines you’ve set for feeding, walks, playtime, and enrichment, and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved in their own home. I treat your home with respect, keep things tidy, and pay attention to the little things that make pets feel relaxed and happy while your away.
“This was my German shepherd, Evie's, first daycare with Laura. Evie was a bit anxious at first but Laura got her to a calm state quickly and Evie enjoyed playing with her pug, Winston. Laura kept me updated and sent several pictures. Good experience overall and will be back”

“Very happy and relieved! I had to book last-minute for my pup when a neighbor had to cancel, and Adriana & Christopher were able to take Lucy at their house for the day. I worry about her because Lucy is a bit of an anxious mess when somewhere new (especially when I’m not around), and she was shaking like a leaf when I left. I felt terrible! But she was very interactive and played with their dog so much that she passed out and slept for hours when we got home! So, so happy and delighted with this experience for my little Lucy!”

“Dani was amazing! Took my dog to her 3x and she was excited each time. Photos and updates were sent without asking. I would definitely book anytime to take care of my fur baby. I highly recommend.”

“Our Roo had a wonderful time. We picked him up and he was a very happy and tired boy. Suzanne has a great fenced back yard that is perfect for dogs. She’s very responsive and we so appreciated her taking Roo on fairly short notice. Thank you Suzanne.”

“I came into the area for the day and Elizabeth was so wonderful to watch my dog Daisy. She has such a lovely home and family. I would absolutely 💯% recommend Elizabeth. Daisy had a great day in her care!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Sue! She was so incredibly accommodating and patient with my dog. My dog, Sadie, was uncharacteristically anxious and scared on our vacation. She was having a really hard time separating from me at all. Sue took the time to get her acclimated with the new environment and allowed me into her home to give Sadie time to adjust and get comfortable. She played calming music for Sadie and gave her her favorite treat- peanut butter. By the time we picked Sadie up, she was very happy and more back to herself. Sue gave Sadie so much love and attention the whole time I was at the aquarium. I was able to have a good time, knowing my dog was in good hands. Sue kept me updated on Sadie’s progress with texts, pictures and videos. I am so very grateful and would recommend Sue to anyone seeking a great pet sitter!”

“Joe and his wife were very friendly. They watched Shiloh for about 5 hours while we visited with friends in the area. At pick up, we could tell Shiloh enjoyed her visit and playtime with the family's dog.”

“Kristen was great with our 3 month old puppy. She was flexible, sent us plenty of pictures, and responded quickly. It was a serene getaway for him and he looked very comfortable in her home. She took him on walks and he walked really well with her. On the second day drop off Kameron was wagging his tail as we walked inside and went straight for a prized green toy he loved. The pictures she sent were beautiful and she was very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her would absolutely use her again.”

About: Hi, My name is Brooke I go by Seven and my entire life has been surrounded by animals, from catching frogs, lizards, feeding the squirrels and always just having that touch even with the animals that don't trust or care for most humans. I have that special something. I started walking the whole neighborhoods dogs when i was 9 years old, i would walk up to 5 at a time. At the age of 13 i started volunteering for an animal rescue fostering dogs and cats. I was the girl growing up all my friends would bring stray or lost animals too. 16 i started working as a vet assistant, at 18 working a 150 dog ranch/doggie daycare and boarding facility to then move on into my early twenties working a place in Seattle called Dogwood Play Park, the first of its kind. It was an indoor outdoor 21 plus play park and daycare. Owners could bring their dogs to play while they had a beer and got to know other dog lovers, I built many beautiful dog... and people friendships there. I have always been told by the owners they that their dogs listens to me better..I say its just cause i am alpha pack leader!! I have massive respect and love for all animals. I worked in Portland Oregon on a farm in 2022 called Trisklee farm where i cared for all the animals on the property as farmer seven, i did weekend tours of the farm and helped run kids summer camp.I am very good with all ages and types of animals. My biggest strength is animal body language, i can read an animals move before they do it. Something i have picked up over my life span over working with animals everyday. I can administer medications and very aware of your pets behaviors to make sure they feel the most comfortable at all times. I owned guinea pigs, giant Flemish Rex rabbit, cats, and just recently lost my best friends Clyde who was a mastiff Doberman this June , he was almost 12. And Alice my English mastiff who was almost 11 back in 2023 . large breeds are my specialty. I just had a new born on July 29th 2026 and have a year and a half year old as well. I am a stay at home mom who misses her pets and want my children to grow up around animals without making the commitment right now to add to the family. So being good around children who are young and learning boundaries is a must so we don’t put your pet or my children in an uncomfortable or dangerous situation. Hope to hear from you and care for your furry babies . I am a doula and stay at home mom I jsut lost my soul dog and looking to add some furry friends to our pack as friends for my children to learn to be around and get some love . I am very loving at attentive, I notice your pets needs almost immediately and what works for them. I’ll be as involved or chill as they need me to be. It’s your pets world I’m living in it. Yet I’m still alpha and set boundaries

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
