“Melissa is simply amazing. We have re-booked her over 10 times for home visits and home sitting our pet, Scott. We all were going on an international trip of ~10 days and we were worried since this was the first time we using someone’s services to stay at home and take care of Scott. Punctuality is Melissa’s virtue and Scott was absolutely comfortable with her. All those 10 days, we were very peaceful and Melissa ensured, with pictures and videos of Scott, that we were always in touch! A very big shout out to Melissa for a fantastic service!”

“Kathy knows her business and has a natural connection with dogs. Our little Chihuahua mix is very shy with strangers, but Kathy gave her a "massage" that immediately won her over. We were very comfortable knowing Kathy was taking care of our dog and two cats for the holidays. Highly recommended.”

“Sharon did an amazing job caring for our dogs! We were gone for a week and it was the longest time we have ever been away from them. Very nervous that they would be depressed but Sharon played with them a lot and even got one of our finicky eaters to eat his food! She even had to administer an allergy pill to one of the dogs and it was not an issue. We came back and house was in good order and the dogs looked great! Would use Sharon again without hesitation.”

About: A dog lover my whole life, I have years of being relied upon to look after pets for friends and family. I have a senior samoyed pup (the one in my profile picture) and so I have experience with senior dogs as well as bigger/wolf/vocal dog breeds. I have recently moved back to Long Island from England, where I was a high school Math teacher for 8 years. I am currently not working as I look for employment. This also means I am DBS (background) checked. My partner Trent is also a dog lover and lifelong dog owner (most recently of a beautiful staffy girl), and he may help me out from time to time if needed. We have looked after dogs of all sorts of breeds, from dachshunds and frenchies to doodles and chowskis. We have puppy experience and a limited amount of training experience. I love taking pups for walks and am happy to walk for whatever length of time your pup most prefers! Plus, I’d be thrilled to take pics of your pup to send to you during the day 📸🐶 As I’m not working currently, I have as much time as needed to dedicate to your pup. I can travel at any preferred time for walks or in-home dog sitting. If coming to your home, you can rest assured that I am a reliable and trustworthy person who is background (DBS) checked from my time as a teacher. I will be respectful of your space and follow all rules/requests. For dog-walking services I am happy to travel to you and walk you and your pup’s preferred route.
“Kelly was such a great caretaker for our babies and our house! She is so patient and loving; she took excellent care of everyone; and she gave us frequent photos and updates while staying at our house. We will absolutely ask her to care for our pets again!”

“Hannah was an amazing sitter! She stepped in at the last minute when another sitter same-day cancelled, and saved me from cancelling my trip. She was very communicative, flexible, helpful, and took excellent care of my dog. I got many pictures and updates throughout the weekend which always puts my mind at ease. I would absolutely book Hannah to care for my dog again, and so appreciate her help!!”

“Staci is a phenomenal dog sitter! She stayed at our place for a whole week and watched two of our pups, one of whom is really quite a challenge. He has health issues and an attitude and Staci was able to accommodate his needs. Thanks to her we were able to take our first vacation together in three years!!!”

About: I started dog sitting in 2018 in Huntington but moved to Port Jeff last year so looking to connect with local families! I have worked with many senior dogs and a variety of breeds. I have my own chiweenie who I love to spoil. I'm a teacher so I can drop in before and after school and then before bed! Weekends and school breaks I can potentially house sit. I can come to give meals and/or medication, I also can provide a walk and lots of belly rubs! I will send pictures and provide updates!

Both dogs took to Paul & his wife immediately. We loved getting photo and video updates while we were away from our new fur babies!”

“Another wonderful job by Amanda! Our elder dog Chelsea was getting over not feeling well and Amanda cared for her like she was her own. She gave lots of feedback and pics. Showered our Chelsea Girl with attention. Will book again!”

“Jess was reliable and thoughtful. Hand feeding our puppy when he wouldn’t eat his food. We were able to enjoy our mini vacation, knowing that our puppy was in good hands.”

Old Field pet parents share their Rover experiences

Both dogs took to Paul & his wife immediately. We loved getting photo and video updates while we were away from our new fur babies!

Rain was wonderful and took such good care of my two highly affectionate, high energy cats. She was easy and responsive to communicate with and very responsible with timeliness. She sent photo and video updates almost every day and was very responsive to all of my texts while I was away. I came home to my house looking as pristine as I left it and two very happy and well cared-for kitties. Rain is a sweetheart and I highly recommend her for your animal care needs.
