About: I started becoming attuned to dogs 25 years ago when i answered an ad to house sit for 3 months in my spiritual community that included care of a sweet Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Jasper. Jasper was a good friend, I will always be grateful for my experience with him, he would get super excited when it snowed and bark uncontrollably with joy, slept . I got deeper in the dog world 20 years ago with my girlfriend at the time. She had a sweet 13 year old german shepherd with knee and hip problems that needed help getting up the stairs and a slightly skittish street dog she had rescued in Mexico that took some time to get to know me. We were together until we had to put the German Shepherd to sleep, it was such a joy to be able to help this old pup. I had to give him medicine, hold his hind legs to get him up steps or into cars. we really developed a bond, and most dogs feel comfortable as soon as they meet me. And it was good to work with the skittish dog, she learned to relax with me and feel my love for her. I also have experience with my own cats, see the Cat Care area. I'm a musician and guitar teacher. Most of my students and gigs are after school hours, so have time in the morning or early afternoon to spend time with pets. (I teach at people's homes, one of the funniest things about doing that is that the pets always can feel how much of a dog/cat person i am, which can sometimes be funny when giving a lesson) Having had my own pets, and knowing how precious they are, I care for them like they are my own. Pets are treated with love and respect, understanding each one is unique, has their own tendencies, likes and challenges that i strive to meet with love, patience and playfulness.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child! My friends and family have relied on me to watch their fur babies. I feel comfortable giving your pups or cats any medications needed. I have previous experience working in a dog grooming salon. I have my own pup and cat that are like my children! I am currently a travel nurse and I am taking some time off for the holidays! So, I am free most days and at various times! I am big on routine for your fur babies. It is important for me to understand your dog/cats needs and their personality. I will do my best to keep their routine familiar to them!

About: I have lived practically my whole life on a ranch taking care of horses, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens. I love hiking and going on adventures and of course I would love to take your furry friend with me (if acceptable). I work as a nightshift critical care nurse and my husband is a software engineer and works fully remote from home so either myself, my partner, or both of us will be with your dog pretty much at all times. I will provide messages and photos often to keep you up to date with how your pet is doing. I also have a cat (who grew up with dogs) so as long as your dog is okay with cats, your dog will have a kitty friend to hang out with :) If your pup does not get along with cats or you are unsure, it is easy to keep them separated. I am very attentive as well to the pets I sit. **Please note that as it is per Rover's policy, a charge will be added if owners do not pick up their pet(s) within the specified pick-up times. If it is 1 hour past the arranged pick-up time a charge for a half-day daycare fee will be added, and if it's more than 3 hours past the arranged pick-up time a charge for a full day daycare fee will be added. This is to ensure your pet(s) are fully covered by the Rover Guarantee. I do understand emergencies happen and will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Because I offer petsitting services often, pet care is now a part of my daily routine! Daily walks (usually 2-3 per day), playtime, and of course, many cuddle sessions are part of my usual routine. I usually will take pups on walks first thing in the morning (for potty breaks), another walk in the afternoon, and one in the evening. I allow dogs on our couch and bed so they will definitely be cozy! Of course, if your pup is crate trained that is not an issue at all to accommodate.

I recently moved to Ojai, CA to be closer to nature and embrace a lifestyle centered around wellness, animals, and the outdoors. I've decided to open my Rover sitting profile again (last time I was available on Rover I was in college), as I have had a few experiences sitting pets for friends and the community and I've realized how much I love it! My main gig is working as a marketing consultant remotely, so this lifestyle allows me the space and control over my time to be able to give your pets the attention and care they need daily. I also teach yoga and live a grounded lifestyle that pets tend to vibe with! I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes as well as senior dogs and those who require oral medication. I'm also a major cat lover - most cats warm up to me quickly, and I enjoy getting to know their unique personalities. I approach all animals with gentle loving kindness, making sure they feel seen as I speak to them and give them the attention they deserve. Animals are so special and I feel I can speak their language naturally. Whether we're going on walks through beautiful Ojai, playing in the yard, or just relaxing and providing gentle companionship, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. You'll receive plenty of photos and updates, and your furry friend will receive all the pets and love they deserve. My job is working from home about 20-30 hours per week, so as long as you have wifi, I can be around to give lots of love and attention to your furry friend throughout the day. I have plenty of time and space to take breaks for walks, play and outdoor time. Whenever I am present in your home, I will keep my eyes on your pet. I will gently and lovingly communicate with them to make them feel safe in my presence. I will be attentive to their body language and won't overstimulate them with too many pets (if that's not their thing) - if that is their thing I will quickly pick up on it and be sure to give your pet lots of pets and love.

About: I have a border collie/ Aussie who is 5, and have been taking care of my friends and families dogs forever. Dog training and safety are my top priority as a dog mom. I work from home, which gives me plenty of time to visit, walk, and play with dogs. My schedule is flexible and I can work around other owners schedules. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog who loves to go on walks and have sleepovers with other dogs. She loves to play tug of war and take naps.

I've been trained to teach dogs obedience, address potential behavioral issues, and administer medication and microchips. Outside of the shelter, I take high-energy dogs on runs and hikes on our local trails like Gridley, Shelf, Pratt and more. I can walk your dog if requested, i play with them in the yard to see they get daily exercise.
