Amber's home is comfortable and she provided a very nice stay for my pup. She even gave me fresh eggs from her chickens! I highly recommend Amber and would not hesitate to use her again!”

“Sheena took such good care of Mango. She went above and beyond most Rover hosts we have asked to take care of Mango in the past. She sent us so many videos and photos of Mango to us. Our Mango loved her kids and really enjoyed her time with them. In addition, it was a rainy day and Sheena washed and dried Mango’s sweater and also made sure Mango was dry from the rain. Would highly recommend and would book again.”

“Sandra is a wonderful care giver for my furry buddy!! Mr. Bubs was loved, spoiled, and treated like he is family. “We had a wonderful experience booking with Kalia. She was always quick to respond to booking requests, messages, and was very understanding when we had to cancel a different booking due to a change in plans. She sent regular updates and pictures of our boy and I could tell he was having a great visit with her and her two goldens. She put our mind at ease as this was our first time booking through Rover. We had used boarding facilities in the past and our boy would come back overstimulated and often with tummy issues, but it was not the case when he stayed with Kalia. We will definitely book with her again next time!”

“Cat was great with my "Cat- Pete" I enjoyed the photos she sent me of him "Birdwatching". It really let me know he was having a vacation at her home, while we were on our vacation! “Mark and Yulia have the sweetest family and they took such incredible care of my Hazel! She is very expressive and her happiness was beaming through the photo updates I was sent regularly. I get anxious to leave my dog but having her in their care was a big relief to me. Thank you so much for everything!!!”

“Sara was an absolute amazing care taker to our poocher Indie! We got updates and pictures throughout the whole stay! She took Indie on several walks, had plenty of play time, and made sure she was so comfortable and loved the whole time! Couldn't be happier with Sara and her love for our baby girl!!”

“Deandra and her family took wonderful care of my 5 month old puppy over the holidays. Charlie stayed with Deandra for 10 days and was given so much care and attention. She loved playing with their dog in the front yard, which was great socialization and tuckered Charlie out! Deandra sent daily updates which made me feel comforted to leave her for an extended timeframe. I highly recommend Deandra and plan to book her again!”

“Our dog is a typical German Shepherd, super attached and a good amount of anxiety. So we were definitely concerned about leaving her for 10 days. With Ashley, we learned quickly we had nothing to worry about. They bonded right away and the happy dog photos she sent along during our trip are some of the best photos we have of her. Ashley was incredibly caring and kept our pup on a consistent daily schedule. I highly recommend Ashley for caring for your pets.”

“Olivia has been a wonderful sitter for my cat! Always on time and generous with pics and feedback. He clearly warmed right up to her, I would gladly book her again. Highly recommend!”

She's trustworthy and clearly loves animals.Thank you Melissa!”
“Mariana and Mark were so great! We needed a local option to be with Zoey when our usual care wasn’t available, and was pleasantly at ease meeting the two of them. “Sara saved our trip! We were camping in the area and planned a day out at the Channel Islands NP (not dog-friendly). Our original doggy sitter canceled on us two days before and we scrambled to find someone last minute. It was a blessing in disguise. Sara is the absolute sweetest! Communication was excellent. She updated us throughout the day with photos and kept our girl busy with playtime, a walk, and a hike. She was able to administer medication too. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you, Sara!”

“Kay was a fantastic sitter. She was very kind and welcoming. We felt very confident in leaving our dog in her care. She sent adorable photos and her communication throughout the sit was great. We picked up a very happy dog who didn’t want to leave Kay. Would 100% use Kay again.”

Our dog was in good hands, and loves playing with Jessica's dog Luma and had a playmate to match her high energy. Jessica is responsive, sent updates and photos, and we appreciate her asking questions beforehand to see if there is anything she should know and is observant of our dog's needs during the stay. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I learned responsibility by having dogs all my life. The attachment and care I have for animals is tremendous. My heart is full because of them and it breaks when they’re hurting or sad. I take a lot of pride in the way I care for my own animals. I always put their needs first. I even took a remote job so I can spend more time with them. When my dog got sick I was constantly monitoring, medication handling, and I never put her health to the side. I act quickly. I also am very careful with who the dogs I take care of come in contact with. I can read dogs body language and will not force them to be in a situation they don’t like. Some dogs are friendly and some like their space. It is important for me to create space. It doesn’t matter if a dog is small and won’t hurt a fly, they can agitate a dog that can hurt them. I have even saved a yorkie from being attacked by a dog. This wasn’t under my care but I knew what to do and stepped in. I currently work remote. This means I can take out the pups for play and for a walk. I live right down the street from a park. And prioritize taking the pups out 2-3 times a day. Making sure they’re out for more than an hour. I have a small back yard and 3 friendly dogs. One old Shih Tzu, a heeler, and a yorkie. They love to play but love to protect their home so they will always be loud when someone is at the door.. I always treat the pups the same. I know how worried I am leaving my heeler behind so I know to take good care of new pups because I know they’re missing their parents too! As for someone else’s home. I do the same! Obviously respect the home but work in a schedule to accommodate what I need to get done but also create play, walk, or enrichment play.
“We are happy to have found Shelli to care for our senior dog Harold. Shelli was very patient and kind with him when we left him for his first visit. He seemed very calm and happy when we picked him up. We feel confident that Harold will be well cared for by Shelli and her family when we leave him to go out of town .”
“We were very happy with Hersh and his care for our small dog Sophie. Sophie was calm and relaxed when we picker her up unlike a previous stay at a kennel for small dogs. Hersh sent us a picture of Sophie relaxing on the couch and I could tell she was enjoying herself and was content. Good job. We would definitely use Hersh again if we are traveling in the area.”

“Tefiti LOVES staying with Marina. When we pick her up she greets us and then wants to go back inside with Marina. She took great care of her while she was recovering from an injury. Marina made sure her wound stayed clean and was able to give her medication without any issues.”

About: I have experience dog sitting for a range of types of pups. From younger puppies to senior dogs, I have worked with many different pups. I also have experience taking care of dogs at the Ojai Valley Inn, and know the area very well! I am a college student in the area and work a schedule that is usually centered around afternoons/evenings. Depending on your schedule needs I can do my best to help out! I am local to a lot of dog parks and dog friendly outdoor spaces in the Ventura county area. I know a lot of great spots for dogs to hang out and play!

About: Since I was 12 I would pet sit for neighbors and family friends in my area. I always loved being around dogs since I was a toddler and still continue to provide quality care for my clients. I also raised my own pup fully on my own, constantly catering to different dietary needs and walking schedules based on his age. Although he just recently passed I understand the extra attention that is necessary for dogs who are seniors or have certain traits/needs and of course will be able to properly care for any 4 legged friend you have in your family. I am a UC Berkeley student home for the summer fully free to match any of my clients schedules, I also work weekends and holidays . Being 21 I have tons of experience with pet sitting and baby sitting. I myself raised my own furball for 16 years and understand the needs and attention that is necessary for those who are in their senior years. I also have catered to any dietary needs necessary for those with particular dietary preferences. And of course provide a space filled with unlimited love and attention.

About: Animals are my passion. I cared for my beloved Parson Russell Terrier, Milo, from 2000 to 2015, and he’s the reason I fell in love with caring for all animals. That love led me to volunteer at the Berkeley Humane Society as a cat companion in 2014, and later at the Santa Cruz SPCA as a dog walker from 2024 to 2025. I’ve also transported rescued animals—most memorably a German Shepherd from NYC to his forever home in Florida—and have cared for friends’ and family’s pets for many years. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’m fully committed to providing exceptional, reliable, and compassionate care for yours. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, your pet will be treated like family. I follow your pet’s established routine—feeding, walking, medication, and comfort—and during extended stays, I’m happy to water plants, collect mail, and keep your home tidy. My mission is simple: to care for your pets with genuine love, respect, and dependability. I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the week for you and your pet. My background in customer service has taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and attention to detail—qualities I bring to every pet care visit. I provide reliable, compassionate care that keeps your pet comfortable and secure in their own home. I follow their regular routine, prioritize safety, and care for them with the same attention and love I would give my own pets.
About: I love all critters, large and small. I have two large dogs which I have both trained. They are incredibly well behaved, but I know how to give them space to be rambunctious and playful. It’s so important for pets to have a safe space to be themselves and show their beautiful, unique personalities. I know how to work with senior and leash-aggressive dogs. Kitties are wonderful with minds of their own. I give them attention when they want it, but distance if not. They are cats after all! I can take care of fish too, as I have a tank of them in addition to my dogs. My schedule is extremely flexible! I walk my dogs in the morning, but I can adjust my walk time as needed. For overnights, my husband will take care of our fur babies. I start off with an introduction to you and your pet. Treats are a great way to start off on the right paw! I ensure your pet feels safe and gets to know me. I am caring and loving, and I also know how to give space to your furry one when they need it.
About: I've been a pet guardian all of my (long-ish) life and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. I’m reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented — I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. I'm currently not working full time, so I have time to help you look after your animals. My dogs (springer spaniels) lived very long and happy lives, and now I have a solo cat at home. I am available to visit your animals in your home, take them for walks, clean up after them and play with them. I can't have overnights at the moment due to my own pet.

“Our pups had the best week with Cooper and Nora! They were given so much love and were treated like part of the family. I appreciated all the pictures and the clear communication. We will definitely be back!”

“Wonderful experience! Misty and her family were amazing hosts for our pup Vixen. Everything was super smooth - coordinating details, dropoff, pickup… would definitely take Vixen back again! Thank you”

“My Teddy Bear enjoyed his stay at Amber's house! He had a ball running around in her big, fenced in backyard and playing with her two girls! Teddy also enjoyed a nature walk!

“Claudia is not only our favorite but our dogs favorite. Briggs, our dog, loves her and can’t wait to see her when we pull up to her house. She is compassionate and thoughtful. We get regular picture updates and texts about how he is doing. He is also in love with her two pups. We are lucky to have Claudias help, she is kind and responsible. Thank you.”

“Betty had an amazing time! She was so pooped the next day from having too much fun. Super understanding of her medical needs - truly a great host and trustworthy partner for your pets.”

“Tiantian was great with our 2 dogs. She met them before, was responsive, had a great setup at her house and sent sone status pictures and a video to let us see our loves.”

“We had a wonderful experience and would give more than 5 stars if we could! Our dog was so comfortable and happy during her stay, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout our trip - we received regular updates and felt confident that our dog was well cared for. It’s clear they genuinely love animals and provide a safe, welcoming environment. We would happily book with them again and highly recommend to other pet parents!”

“Our fur babies stayed with Alexandra and Billy during our vacation in Santa Barbara. They were very accommodating during our time there. We were able to pick our pups, spend time with them and drop them off again. Our pups were happy and well taken care of. We will definitely contact them again on future visits to the area.”

“Caring family and plenty of space to run around! Our one and a bit year old pup had an absolute blast zooming around the backyard with their two labradoodles. Amanda was very accomodating and kept us updated with pictures.”

“Chelsea was amazing! She was able to take our Lucy on short notice and loved her like she was her own. She gave her lots of attention and made sure that we knew she was well cared for through pictures and videos. I highly recommend her services!”

“Ruby loves staying with Momo, Bethany and Siddhartha! They always take such good care of her- this last time she came down with an ear infection the day I was due to drop her off.
