About: I have lived with many dogs and cats my whole life, in this way I have always been raised to care for animals. I have also trained a chocolate Labrador from puppy to adulthood! I know the basic methods of discipline for pets, while knowing the basic needs of care and love for them! I currently work in the film industry part time in the camera department. The rest of my work in video content creation is remote, this allows me to be flexible with my schedule and location. I am more than happy to take energetic pooches to off-leash parks if the owner and I both feel comfortable with the dog's recall and safety. Between outings, your dog will have the house and yard available as well as lots of attention from our family which includes myself, my husband, our 2 young kids, and our playful 30 lb dog, Sombra. There is plenty of room to run around! We have a backyard that is fully fenced as well as an open space of the living room with a box full of dog toys that always ends up being the puppy play area :) I guarantee your dog will love their time staying in a house with a yard and the beach and park close by. I will treat your pup like my own with lots of love and follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet regarding diet, leashes, exercise needs, training, preferred sleeping arrangements, allowed on furniture, etc. I will also send updates and photos during your dog’s stay. For dogs that feel more comfortable having a crate available inside the home for resting or sleeping, you can bring your own or we can provide one.

As a former employee of the Santa Barbara Zoo, I've learned how to interpret an animal's feelings and needs. I am also (human) Wilderness First Responder and CPR certified, and spend much of the year working outdoors guiding children, so your pets will be in experienced hands.
About: I grew up in Ojai. Both me any my partner have stewarded, raised, and provided care for many different types of animals, dogs, cats, horses cows, etc. I am gentle and introverted, and have good experiences even with animals that tend to be skittish and wary of humans, such as certain cats, rabbits, etc. As a professional pet-sitter, house-sitter, musician, astrologer and handyman, I make my own schedule, and have lots of flexibility. I tend to stay mostly close to home in my beloved Ojai Valley. I love walking and being outdoors, and can do my work from anywhere, which works well for overnights, as I like to work from home or from housesits that I do, and it allows me to be available for pet care around the clock. I can romp with big dogs, but I also really love working with shy animals, as they tend to respond well to my gentle, introverted nature.
