About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a dog groomer and I really love my job! I am great with both cats and dogs! I am a dog groomer. I working on starting my own business. I love my job and I love animals! I can't wait to meet your pet! I have a sweet little puppy named Posie Mae. My fiance has a medium sized dog named bear. They are both super friendly and will keep your fur baby company.

About: I come from a family that has always sheltered, rescued, and spoiled all the fur babies that come into our lives. Patience and affection are our gifts. I work from home part time. That leaves my schedule open to caring for others pets in my home or for drop ins and walks. I have a fenced in yard and a large home with plenty of room. If your pupper is unfamiliar with cats I can ensure safe space kept between them. Walks, couch potato time, and kiddos in and out make for plenty of love and activity. My children are old enough to provide respectful space to pets that need it.
“He did not succumb to the eye hypnosis trick my overeating dog uses to convince people she hasn’t been fed in weeks. He was not driven away by the chaos that ensues when a human enters the house. All this and he still came back. Thanks! Great job! Pups love him! Hire him! Woof!”

“5 star experience! She jumped in on a last-minute booking, was so flexible, and kept us in the loop the whole time. She handled our anxious puppy and reactive senior with ease! We will absolutely book her again!”

“Holy Cow Maggie was the best with our cat and dog. She was friendly, on time for her visits, sent daily updates, followed directions and I had nothing to worry about. If she’s available, book her!”

“Maisy has been wonderful to work with! She has done a wonderful job loving on our two dogs. It eases our mind knowing that when we are gone that Maisy will do a great job taking care of them.”

“Miranda gave us the peace of mind we’ve been looking for for our two beautiful cats. We have been doing of family vacation for six years and this is the first year I have been able to be worry free. Miranda sent messages and pictures of each visit, in my opinion, she took care of our cats like they were her own. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the time and care you gave our boys , we will definitely use Miranda again if she’s available ♥️”

“I’m so glad I can enjoy time away knowing Kiana is taking good care of our fur fam. I love seeing the updates and attention to detail. I’d recommend Kiana to anyone who is looking.”

About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! In the summer there is lots more availability! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. Including overnights, walks, and administering medications, eye drops, pills, ect. So, I know how important it is to be mindful of someone’s else’s home and their four-legged (sometimes three) loved ones.
“What an amazing experience to be able to be gone for a long day and know that Millie was loved and well cared for by Lexi!! We definitely will set up more dates with her! Thank you so much!! 😊”

About: I have always loved animals. My favorite thing to do is go on walks because I get to spend time with my best buddies and I get some excercise myself. All dogs have a unique personality and I love getting the opportunity to get to know each dog. I am a pretty active person myself so I am able to power walk or even run to get the dogs energy out! My schedule is pretty flexible but I prefer mornings and afternoons (morning walks are always peaceful and nice). I am willing to travel to trails and other walking areas to give the dog a new adventure and so they do not get bored with the same walking routine. I think even dogs like to change up where they walk every now and then! My current work schedule is already extremely flexible. I am able to work around any pet care visits and walks. I would love to spend the extra time I have caring for animals as they always make days brighter! Currently I am only doing care at the clients home. We just moved and currently do not have a fence set up yet. Our two dogs listen pretty well so we don’t have to worry about them running off, but I don’t want to risk watching anyone else’s fur baby at our home until we have a fence put up! I am willing to care for pets at the clients home and can promise I won’t make a mess and will clean up after myself and the pet!
About: I have owned and taken care of animals my entire life, I have several years of experience caring for dogs and cats including walking, bathing, feeding, and so much more! I also have experience in basic training for younger animals and I am also able to care for senior animals such as giving medication or treating them with the extra care they deserve! I'm currently a full time student at Northern Michigan University, so I will have plenty of time to care for and play with your pets! I prioritize your pets safety and will never leave them out of my sight or unattended. I will take upmost care and consideration when it comes to keeping your pets healthy, safe, and happy.
“Sweetest girl! My cat never comes out for strangers and he actually played with her! My dog loved her immediately. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with pets, and she booked with me pretty last minute she’s a life saver!”

About: Your cat deserves more than just a quick food-and-water visit! I provide loving, dependable in-home cat care so your kitty can stay comfortable and stress-free in their own familiar surroundings. I’ll make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, playtime, attention, and plenty of affection (on their terms, of course! 😻). I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can relax knowing your fur baby is being well cared for. Whether your cat is playful, shy, independent, or needs a little extra TLC, I’ll treat them like one of my own. ❤️ Serving Spring Lake, Michigan and surrounding communities. I own a small residential cleaning business and am adding a pet care business as I already pet/house sit for some of my cleaning clients on the side. I have watched a few of my cleaning clients' pets (cats and dogs) while they are on vacation. I have stayed overnight in their home, making sure their dogs go out and are well fed, whilst taking care of their home.

“Words cannot fully express how wonderful it was to have Penny watch my Riddle bear. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, entertained and loved while I was away and I would recommend her a thousand times over. Her attention to details and big picture understanding of the stress of being away from home made me feel so incredibly thankful to have found her on Rover.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
