“I came to Grand Rapids on a last-minute work thing and didn’t want to leave Roxy in the hotel alone for 4 to 6 hours in the evening. I reached out to a couple of folks on rover and Miranda was one of the first ones that replied and was able to take Roxy. This was my first time as a doggy dad leaving Rox with with somebody I didn’t know. We met Miranda at her house and after meeting her found that she is truly a really nice person that truly loves animals and made it easy for me to leave her there. Roxy took to her almost immediately. I picked Roxy up the next morning and everything was great. She’d been walked and had play time few times and she was her normal goofy happy self. Great job!”

“Just fabulous. On our meet and greet, Barts (my cat) took to Maggie immediately. During her check-ins, I got timely updates and plenty of photos - playtime, open window time, snacks and cuddles. Excellent communication at all times. Maggie even helped me out by watering some plants, and took the initiative to take my trash can out to the curb for pickup even though I hadn’t mentioned it. Upon arriving home, I was greeted by a very happy cat even though I’m sure he will miss her. At least until the next time because I won’t hesitate to book Maggie again if she is available. 🙂❤️”

About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! In the summer there is lots more availability! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. Including overnights, walks, and administering medications, eye drops, pills, ect. So, I know how important it is to be mindful of someone’s else’s home and their four-legged (sometimes three) loved ones.

About: I have been around animals in my family my whole life and have always enjoyed taking care of them and keeping them entertained. I have been working at Central Bark Doggy Daycare for 10 months and have experience with lots of breeds! I am currently attending Grand Valley State University, I'd like to spend my free time taking care of as many pups as possible. Back home I worked for a doggy daycare, but good doggy daycares are very scarce in this area so I wanted to be able to provide individual dog care! I live with my in a college dorm so my home is not available for pet care. But when I am in a clients home I always leave it just as neat as I left it. I would prefer if I knew where all cleaning supplies are in order to clean up any pet messes!

About: I have always loved animals. My favorite thing to do is go on walks because I get to spend time with my best buddies and I get some excercise myself. All dogs have a unique personality and I love getting the opportunity to get to know each dog. I am a pretty active person myself so I am able to power walk or even run to get the dogs energy out! My schedule is pretty flexible but I prefer mornings and afternoons (morning walks are always peaceful and nice). I am willing to travel to trails and other walking areas to give the dog a new adventure and so they do not get bored with the same walking routine. I think even dogs like to change up where they walk every now and then! My current work schedule is already extremely flexible. I am able to work around any pet care visits and walks. I would love to spend the extra time I have caring for animals as they always make days brighter! Currently I am only doing care at the clients home. We just moved and currently do not have a fence set up yet. Our two dogs listen pretty well so we don’t have to worry about them running off, but I don’t want to risk watching anyone else’s fur baby at our home until we have a fence put up! I am willing to care for pets at the clients home and can promise I won’t make a mess and will clean up after myself and the pet!
