“Audrey was very kind, responsive, and great for our little last minute fiasco. The pups really seemed to enjoy their time with her and we were able to enjoy the day not worrying about the care our pups were provided!”

About: Hello! So nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your pet(s)! My first name is Taylor, but please call me Marie (my middle and preferred name) :-) I am competent, thorough, communicative, responsible, punctual, respectful, honest, and have integrity. You can be assured that your pet(s) will be safe with me. I give periodic written updates with photos, I follow instructions carefully, I take attentive notes about your pet from your description and my own observations, I am focused and attentive when caring for your pet(s), and I respond promptly to messages. For pet sitting in your home, I am very tidy/respectful and will leave your home as clean as when I arrived, and I stay in only the designated area(s) and only touch what I need to (please show me where you keep cleaning supplies and your pets’ food or medications, etc.). I pick up after your pet and bring my own dog waste bags, leads, collapsible water bowl, and first aid kit, just in case. I pay attention to details, like the temperature (air/ground) being safe for walks. My preference is to suggest a “Meet-and-Greet” (whenever possible. I do typically accept short-notice requests where this may not be logistically possible) because it’s important to me that you AND your pet are comfortable with me (and I you). I am loyal and love to have repeat clients, but I also enjoy taking on one-time requests, I’m happy to help. I try to keep a pet’s routine as familiar as possible for their comfort and your peace of mind. A bit about my background: I'm currently enrolled (2026) in Penn Foster's Vet Tech Associate's Degree Program. I graduated with a 4.0 from Pima Medical Institute, Phoenix, in December 2020 from the Veterinary Assistant Program. I graduated magna cum laude ("with great praise") from ASU in 2015 with a BA in Creative Writing and a second BA in French linguistics/translation/literature. I also completed one semester of the Pre-Veterinary Medicine program at ASU. I am Fear Free Level 3 Certified (........), and currently I'm renewing my certification for 2026. I am RECOVER Initiative (CPR) certified (just renewed for 2026). I've worked for various Small Animal vet clinics on and off since 2018. I have been working with animals in some capacity since 2010 (technically years earlier, since I used to volunteer at our local humane society in elementary and middle school as a kid), and I’ve had my own pets since I was ~5 years old. I worked previously for Rover from July 2017 to May 2021, and took a hiatus because I moved, but unfortunately I no longer have my original Rover profile (Was listed as "Taylor E.", first name and maiden name initial). I had a 5-star rating from 35 people who were pleased with my pet care and communication and left positive reviews (thank you so much!!!) and had several repeat clients -- Please see screenshots of my previous Rover account reviews in my photo gallery. I love working for Rover, so I’m glad to be back! I have the experience to be able to care for certain special needs, and I will communicate with you honestly (at all times) if I feel a request/booking is beyond my scope of experience because my priority is your pet's safety and wellbeing and I feel they should be matched with the best possible carer. I have worked with a variety of cats/dogs of different ages, abilities/needs/conditions, sizes, and breeds, as both a veterinary assistant and pet sitter. As an important DISCLAIMER: While I do have years of vet assistant experience and formal vet assistant education, I am not a Veterinarian and not a CVT (i.e., I am not licensed to practice veterinary medicine); I can only care for your pet in the capacity as a pet sitter / dog walker and cannot provide medical care or diagnose or prognose, etc. I will always refer you to your local Vet for that type of care and will not do anything outside of my scope of expertise for the safety of your pet (and to abide by the law). In the event of an emergency I can provide first aid/CPR and transport your pet to the vet. About our pets at home: My husband and I have two wonderful cats (1 adopted, 1 we rescued) and two wonderful dogs (adopted by us from the humane society after they were rescued from dire situations, respectively; one of which is a tripod and one is a disabled senior that wears diapers) -- I gravitate especially towards rescues and seniors that need a little extra care, and I especially love cats. Every pet is so special and deserves a safe and happy home! Thank you so much for your consideration. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! -- Marie When receiving a booking request, I will communicate in detail about my availability to ensure it meets your expectations and your pet's needs. I’m a transparent and thorough communicator, and I’ll let you know of any prior commitments that I may have during a house stay request. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care. I am experienced and knowledgeable, and you can trust me in your home and with your precious pets. If they have a special need that I am not qualified for handling or have experience with, I will be honest and not overstate my skills (I want your pet to be in great hands with the best fit possible as much as you do). I am gentle, calm, and kind, and can also be silly/fun/playful/energetic, or very quiet; I try to adapt to your pet’s personality, comfort, and needs. I've worked with a range of pets, from quiet seniors and calm cats to rambunctious puppies, giant-breeds, and anxious pets. And while I love them all, I most especially gravitate towards cats, seniors, and differently-abled pets. I unfortunately cannot care for your pets in my own home (such as daycare or pet sitting in my home) because I have four of my own at home with special needs and routines. (Note that when I’m away on a house stay, they are in great hands with my husband, so while I miss them dearly when gone, my own pets are very loved and looked after.) ***I’m not accepting puppies at this time due to my varied availability/classes, or most Large/Giant breeds only because I’m healing a neck/shoulder injury; I'm not assuming about your pet that they pull on a lead, but I want to ensure I could safely carry/transport them in the event of an emergency.***
“Jessica was fantastic! There’s nothing more we could have hoped for. The dogs were well taken care of, the house was in great shape (even with a wild puppy she had to watch), her communication was great, I’d highly recommend Jessica. She couldn’t have been better!”

“Fabulous! Kim went above and beyond to help us in this last minute weekend job. She was professional and updated us with daily info. She also handled an unfortunate power outage on our block with ease. The doggies loved her right from the start and the house was clean when we returned. We hope we get to see her again in the near future! Thanks kim!”

“Madilyn was great! We had an unexpected last minute dash to find a sitter for our two old cats and little anxious dog when our previous sitter backed out. We communicated with a number of folks to try to find someone and were not finding them to be responsible or reliable. Then Maddy saved the day. She was calm and clear and followed through on the items discussed. We knew our house and pets were in good hands and are so thankful for her help. Thanks again, Madilyn!”

“Will was a fantastic sitter. He shared photos & videos of our dogs which made us feel connected while we were away and trust they were in good hands. He left the house in pristine condition. Would absolutely recommend him and work with him again when we have a need!”

“Ynez was truly amazing and we could not have asked for a better experience. She took such great care of our home and our dog, and you can tell she genuinely cares. She kept us updated the entire time and sent so many sweet pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog looked so happy and comfortable with her, and coming home to everything in perfect shape meant so much to us. We are beyond grateful and would absolutely trust her again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!”

“María José was a wonderful caretaker for our dog, Pepper! She stayed at our apartment with Pepper throughout our 5 day trip and took amazing care of our pup. María José sent so mahy pictures, gave frequent and thorough updates and made sure our dog was loved and cared for. We could not recommend her enough!”

“Sarah did a good job with Bob, Boo and Trudy, who is a senior dog with vision issues. I got photos and updates which put me at ease especially with Trudy. Will definitely book with Sarah again for future trips.”

“Jocelyn was so wonderful this past weekend with my little Suki. I could tell from their meet and greet they were going to have a great time, but Jocelyn’s updates and communication during their time together solidified it for me. She reassured me Suki would have undivided love and attention while I was away and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you Jocelyn!!”

“We were very nervous about having our dog (Chihuahua - Lesie) taken care of by a pet sitter. After meeting Gigi we felt she was a good match with our pet. She kept us up to date with messages and pictures daily and replied quickly to any questions we had. We would not hesitate to have Gigi watch Lesie again.”

“Best dog sitter we have had. Had a longer trip and we got constant updates. Our dog was extremely happy in the sitters hands and we didn’t have any issues. She was able to adapt to our dog and left the house clean and taken care of.”

“Rae was amazing. She was so wonderful with our dogs and went above and beyond our expectations. She was a great communicator and sent lots of pictures. I would highly recommend Rae to anyone who wants their pet loved and spoiled!”

“Kim is a gem of a human and most certainly the person you want to hire. She was highly responsive in communication, punctual to the minute, and took loving care of my pet and my home.”

“Lauren was amazing! She was easy to communicate with and super accommodating when I had to change plans last minute. She was so sweet with Pickles and gave great updates! I will definitely use her again!!!”

“First time using them… we had a 6 day vacation, hired them for house-sitting with our 3 dogs. Communication was great! Left house clean and kept. Super nice folks. I know our pups were well cared for and loved while we were away. They were respective and honest. Would hire again.”

“Claire is a gem! I was worried about leaving our kitty but he LOVED her! He even became a lap cat while we were away. She made it possible for us to relax and enjoy our vacation away from the kitty for the first time. She sent lots of pictures.”

“Maggie was wonderful to work with and took great care of our dogs. She was very communicative and offered some helpful observations about the dogs. Would absolutely recommend!!”

Ntna-Canal Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Shawna was amazing! This was our first time leaving our dog with someone who wasn't a family member, so we were hesitant at first. From the initial meeting, we knew Shawna was going to be a great fit. During the stay, Shawna sent us tons of pictures and provided us with tons of updates. We were out of the country for 12 days and never felt once we had to worry about our boy. She took great care of him and our house. He loved being with her and we could tell he felt comfortable with her. We would highly recommend Shawna to anyone and will definitely be using her again for any future trips we take!! Thanks again!

We could not be happier with Jamie and the service and care she provided. Total peace of mind from the meet and greet; pre trip communication and initial to end house sitting gig. Jamie was very personable; extremely confident in her pet caring skills; and takes her work very seriously and with complete professionalism. She arrived at the time we set up, kept in contact with us throughout our trip; showed great care to pets and home. Could not recommend her care enough.

We had such a great experience with Madison watching our dogs! She stayed at our home and was incredibly kind and respectful of our space and home. She kept us updated with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our girls looked so happy and well cared for, and we loved that she took them on walks and gave them plenty of love and attention. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she watches. Overall, she did an amazing job and made the whole experience stress-free for us. We would absolutely book with her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

I was in a pinch and needed a dog sitter and found Sarah to watch my dogs for several nights. I wish I had found her sooner! She is responsible, answered texts immediately and gave updates. Dogs were happy! I would definitely recommend Sarah and if I wasn’t moving, I would absolutely continue to use her!
