I grew up with Devon Rexes, so I know all about energetic, play-centric breeds, but I also have loads of experience caring for shy kitties who need their space. One thing that sets my care apart is that I only accept one family's booking at a time. While I may care for multiple dogs from the same household, I do not mix dogs from different families. This allows me to provide more individualized attention, maintain a calm environment, and ensure your dog feels safe and comfortable during their stay. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and needs, including senior dogs and dogs requiring oral or injectable medications. About: I have taken care of animals since my family got our first dog Nero when I was just 8 years old. I walked and cared for dogs In my neighborhood growing up and as an adult I take care of my sisters boxers when they need me. My dog Nellie a rescue, passed a year ago at sixteen years old and I couldn’t bare to get another dog. I have two cats Grizzly and Cali who are the true bosses of my house. I live next to an entrance to Papago park, a great place to take dogs for a walk and my street actually dead ends at the bike path to both the botanical gardens and Papago park. I have a house with a fenced backyard and a pool for those pets who love the water. About: I’ve had a dog most of the first 17 years of my life. My friends ask me to care for their dogs while they’re on vacation or traveling. I bathe dogs as needed, and take them for walks twice a day. I give them lots of love. Dogs really like me. I work from home, but occasionally step away for appointments. I prefer crate trained dogs for while I’m away but always reward them with treats when I get home! I have a comfy place. I take the dogs out for walks at least twice a day, often 3 or more times. And I make sure they have great care, anffection and attention! I have a comfortable home, yet do most of the dog walking in the grass near my condo, or with the permission of the owner, a dog park nearby.

I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but I’m still able to provide dependable pet care around my schedule. If your pet is comfortable being alone during the workday, I’m happy to provide consistent care with walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins before and after work. I also live very close to Chaparral Park, which is a great place for walks, fresh air, and letting dogs burn off some energy.

You can be assured that your pet(s) will be safe with me. I give periodic written updates with photos, I follow instructions carefully, I take attentive notes about your pet from your description and my own observations, I am focused and attentive when caring for your pet(s), and I respond promptly to messages. For pet sitting in your home, I am very tidy/respectful and will leave your home as clean as when I arrived, and I stay in only the designated area(s) and only touch what I need to (please show me where you keep cleaning supplies and your pets’ food or medications, etc.). I pick up after your pet and bring my own dog waste bags, leads, collapsible water bowl, and first aid kit, just in case. I’m a transparent and thorough communicator, and I’ll let you know of any prior commitments that I may have during a house stay request. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care.
