Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I should be aware of. IMPORTANT! All pets must be up to date with all vaccines, and records must be provided at least 24 hours before drop-off or 2 hours for same-day bookings. Required vaccines: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP/DA2PP, Leptospirosis. I do not accept unspayed/unneutored or unhousebroken animals. Please bring the following items with your pets: Food, Treats, Medications with instructions, Bed, Crate or Kennel, List of Food Allergies or Sensitivities, Up to Date Vaccine Records. Bookings will be cancelled, if vaccines are not up to date, if shot records are not provided, or if animals are not spayed or neutored. If you are unsure if your pet gets along with other animals, you must provide a crate or kennel. Thank you!

A typical day

A typical day starts with potty time outside followed by breakfast and a longer walk. The dogs are allowed to get on the sofa with me, so they feel totally comfortable. Working from home, I adjust my schedule based on the dogs' needs: The dogs go out 1-2 times or more in the afternoon and eat dinner around 5 or 6. They go for about 3 walks in the evenings and go to bed when I do. They can sleep anywhere they like on the bed, couch, or floor.

Dog's Best Friend

Pet care experience

I have been a dog mom my whole life, and I love dogs more than people. I provide dog boarding, doggy daycare, and dog walking services in the Scottsdale / Phoenix area of Arizona. I live in an apartment with an open grassy area outside which the dogs love for sniffing and going potty. I live alone with no children or roommate other than my dog Zeke. I stay at home full-time with my dogs, so they have my undivided attention. I usually only keep 1-2 Rover dogs at a time in my home, so they will get all the attention they need. I believe that most dogs will improve their behavior, if they grow to trust you and understand what you expect. My petsitting philosophy is that dogs should be rewarded for good behavior with treats and attention. They should receive consistent feedback about their behaviors that are not acceptable, so they can modify their behaviors. Most dogs do not fully understand which behaviors are good or bad according to their care takers due to inconsistent feedback. Having someone like me to lovingly guide and support them during their most stressful times can help them reach their full potentials!

Heather was amazing with Stevie! Truly one of the most communicative and friendly rovers I’ve ever hired. Sent so many pictures and really seemed to make an effort to get the dogs outside and make them happy! 10/10!!
