“Emily was absolutely phenomenal with my girls! This was the first time that I've ever called in a sitter for them, so it was a major moment. Both Winnie and Millie tend to hide whenever I have company over. Emily was able to coax BOTH of them out during her visits, and provided wonderful updates and care ❤️ Thamk you SO SO much!”

“Val was amazing! She did drop in visits for my dogs for about five days. On each visit she took pictures and updated me on the status of my dogs. I could see on their faces that they were having fun with Val. She even bought them some toys to play with. She was very attentive and responsible.”

“Lily took great care of my kitten this week! I booked on short notice after she spent the weekend at the emergency vet. Would 100% recommend and I've already rebooked for the future :)”

“We tried using Rover for the first time and it went great! Christina did a meet and greet with the pup beforehand and everything went smoothly! We will definitely use her again!!”

“Mariah was an excellent sitter for our dog Ernie. She was prompt and followed all instructions to the letter. She sent lots of pictures and provided thorough updates during each drop in visit. We would highly recommend her services and plan to work with her in the future!”

“Mykale is a wonderful cat-sitter! I have two elderly cats, one of whom requires twice daily medication, and so I'm always a bit nervous about leaving them behind if I have to travel. Knowing that Mykale is dropping in on them while I'm gone has really put my mind at ease. She is very communicative and the cats warmed up to her really quickly. When the winter weather got truly awful she even switched to an overnight stay last minute to ensure that Rascal would get his medication in the morning as scheduled even if everyone got snowed in!”

“Michelle was wonderful! She dropped in to feed & care for my Kitty while I was out of town for 10 days. First time I’ve left him alone with a “stranger” but he came out from hiding and took to her from day one! That’s never happened even with family members he has seen previously! Loved the daily message and photos. I highly recommend Michelle. She can be trusted to care for your special pet and goes above & beyond to report potential concerns with the house/property too ! She will definitely be my first choice for future trips!”

“Alyssa did everything we needed to take care of our Angel girl while we were away from home for a week. It was such a relief knowing someone was looking after our girl, all of our (her) needs were met satisfactorily!”

“We had a really good experience with Kylie taking care of both the cats. Both cats gelled with her, she made sure to share many pictures from every visit. Had a peace of mind, knowing they were in good hands. We will definitely approach her again if we get a chance.”

“Was very nervous about leaving my pets with an unknown person. Day 1 of meeting Lydia and introducing her to Sweetie and Lil Shit, my worries went away. Sweetie took to Lydia right away. When she came to get key before we left, Sweetie was so happy to see her again. Lil Shit is a cat, and has no opinion, lol! Will book her again”

“I have never used Rover before and so this was a large leap of faith for me to let someone watch my pets for 5 days. Janelle proved to be diligent in sending me updates everyday, and went above and beyond to provide for my fur babies. One of my kitties ate all the food left in her automatic feeder (knocked it over ugh) and they were not going to have enough food to last until we came back, so she went to the store and picked up more food for them!! I would recommend Janelle every time and will be using her again in the future for services 💕🥰 Thanks again!!”

“Jamie always makes me feel like my dogs got attention and their needs were met while I was absent. This past week my work schedule was insane and I ended up being gone 16-17 hrs a few days in a row. Jamie was accommodating when I reached out at the very last minute as my schedule changed. Highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

About: For as long as I can remember my life has always involved dogs. I grew up with four dogs in the household, a Rottweiler , a pitbull, Chihuahua, and a Chihuahua mix. I have always worked with dogs and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I am currently attending college full time. However, my schedule is flexible and my classes are online. I will always make time to provide pet care services! Your furry friend will always feel and be safe in my home! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Notre Dame
Hanling took excellent care of our kitty! She came in advance to meet him and get instructions in person, and spent lots of time playing and cuddling with him on each visit so he wouldn't be too lonely while we were gone. She also sent us lots of pictures of him. We will definitely call her the next time we need a pet sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Notre Dame. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
