Pet care experience
Large fenced yard!
I am an animal lover to my core and have 12 years of experience giving all my love to every furry creature that comes into my home. I love to have snuggle buddies, but if your pet is shy that's ok too. I have owned pets of all species and have had dogs my whole life. I have worked at veterinary clinics and have education in CPR, basic bandaging, medication administration, and have been trained to identify the signs of seizures before they start and after they have happened. I work best with dogs that have behavior issues such as food aggression, not housebroken, and cat aggression. I can also help teach your dog not to pull as much on a leash without the use of a halter or choker collar. If your dog doesn't need to be crated, I have multiple beds they can lay on and sprawl out. I can offer basic grooming services including bath, nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth brushing. I have experience in some basic cuts and shaves but am not a certified groomer. I use a high reward system to ease the dog's stress during grooming. I do my best to cater to your schedule, like walks, feeding, and bedtime routines to ease the stress of being in a new place. My yard is large and completely fenced in for a lot of outdoor playtime if your dog wants. I'm very flexible and my aim is to make this process as seamless as possible. IMPORTANT NOTES: Although I am flexible, if you wish to have a meet and greet beforehand, I need a MINIMUM of 2 weeks prior to booking start date. I no longer accept boarding for cats. I accept multiple dogs from different families at one time. Rover is my full time job, but there is no guarantee that I am in my house 24/7 as I am an adult human with responsibilities. All collars and harnesses will be tightened appropriately once they are in my care. Please leave retractable leashes at home as they will not be used with me.

Christina was lovely with our dog. She was attentive and our dog looked happy and healthy in Christina's home.

Christina was available on short notice and was prompt!

I cannot recommend Christina S. as a pet sitter. When I arrived to drop off my puppy, Paige, I was immediately concerned because the condition of the property was nothing like what was shown on her Rover profile. The appearance and condition of the home made me uncomfortable from the moment I arrived. In fact, before I had even left, I was already contacting my mom and trying to think of anyone else who might be able to puppy-sit Paige because I was so concerned about the environment. A topic of my concerns included the possibility of exposure to bedbugs, lice, ticks, fleas, worms, or other unsanitary conditions that could potentially affect my puppy's health and well-being. Unfortunately, because I had already driven nearly an hour and was running late for work, I felt pressured to trust the profile, reviews, and assurances that Paige would be well cared for. At drop-off, Christina was rude and unwelcoming toward me, although she appeared friendly with Paige. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed that perhaps she was simply more comfortable with dogs than people. She assured me that she would keep me updated during the stay. However, despite repeatedly messaging her throughout the day and evening requesting updates about my puppy, which were seen and unanswered, I received virtually no communication. Just before midnight, the only update I received was a photograph of my dog's backside with the message, "She's good! Just doing her thing." As a pet parent, this was extremely upsetting. I could not even see my puppy's face, and the photo raised additional concerns. The surrounding environment appeared dirty and unsanitary. I observed what looked like filth and clutter throughout the area shown in the picture. Paige's paws, which had been clean when I dropped her off, appeared noticeably dirty. I also observed her eating something that was clearly not the food I had provided. Additionally, although I had sent Paige with her own bowl, it appeared that a different bowl was being used. The bowl visible in the photo appeared yellowed and unclean, and I was uncomfortable with the thought of my puppy drinking from it. The overall environment shown in the photo was not a place where I felt comfortable leaving my dog. Because of the lack of communication and the concerns I had regarding the cleanliness of the environment, I decided to pick Paige up early rather than allow her to remain there for the remainder of the scheduled stay. When I arrived for pickup, I discovered that Christina was not even at the home. I had not been informed that she would be leaving the property while caring for my dog. I was also concerned because I observed what appeared to be a young child outside without direct supervision at that time. When communication finally occurred regarding the pickup, I was met with hostility rather than professionalism. Most concerning was Christina's behavior during the pickup. She became argumentative, used profanity, and spoke to me in a vulgar and disrespectful manner. She even cursed at me and accused me of being "very inappropriate." During the interaction, she stomped around slamming doors, refused to allow me inside, and handled the situation in a manner that I found both hostile and unprofessional. After going inside to retrieve Paige and her belongings, Christina returned carrying Paige, her bag of plastic boxed food and her heavy glass bowl, then her harness in another hand. She forcefully shoved Paige, her belongings, and her harness into me and stated, "Take the dog." The entire experience left me feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and deeply concerned. My concerns include the condition of the environment, the lack of communication despite repeated requests for updates, leaving the property during my dog's stay without informing me, the vulgar language and profanity directed toward me, and the aggressive manner in which the pickup was handled. As someone who trusted this sitter with a beloved family member, I expected honesty, professionalism, communication, and a safe, clean environment. Based on my experience, I will not be using Christina S. again, nor would I recommend her services to other pet parents looking for care for their puppies.

Christina was amazing! We really feel like we can relax when we are away because she really cares for our babies!

Thank you to Christina for taking care of our three cats while we were out of town. We have three very different cat personalities and she was able to meet everyone’s needs. Would recommend and use again!

Christina is amazing and worked so well with my anxious dog! It is so nice to have someone able to care for him when needed!

Schedule
Rover is my full time gig. I do leave periodically to help people in their homes take care of their dogs and cats. Your dog may be left alone up to 4 hours at a time.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Dogs within my home are given free reign as long as they get along with everyone. If for some reason, the stress of being away from their family is overwhelming, I will separate them into another room so they have time to decompress. All dogs are kenneled when I leave the house this is for their safety as well as they safety of all the animals in my care.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs will get as much time as possible to interact with me and my dogs. My goal is the stimulate their mind and body so they are satisfied at the end of every day and what better way to do that than with play!
