“Madelyn is very nice and responsive immediately through messages, she made this experience so easy and stress free for me. I received pics and updates of my dog and I can definitely tell he enjoyed her visit from the pics! My pittie looks like he had a smile on his face, I will definitely be using Madelyn again!”

About: I've had pets since I was a kid and I'm a huge animal lover — the go-to person for pet care among family and friends. I currently have three cats of my own, so I'm very comfortable in multi-cat households — reading their individual personalities, sticking to feeding schedules, and keeping stress low when routines change. My biggest test was house-sitting for a neighbor for a full week, managing 4 dogs and 3 cats at once — juggling different feeding times and exercise needs without missing a beat. I'm calm under pressure, detail-oriented with instructions, and treat every home with respect and care as if it were my own. I work full-time (9–5), so I'm available for in-home visits, dog walking, and in-home overnight care before work, after work, and all weekend. I'm also an early riser, so morning visits work well too. I'm flexible and can accommodate most feeding, play, or walk schedules around my job. I live in an apartment set up specifically with cats in mind — window perches, a self-cleaning litter box, and a wall-mounted cat jungle gym with climbing shelves and hideaways. My own cat Milo also enjoys supervised leash walks outside, so I'm comfortable and experienced with that if your cat is leash-trained too. Your pet's safety and comfort always come first, whether that means sticking closely to their routine or just giving them space to settle in. While cats are my specialty, I also have real dog experience — I've taken dogs outside to play in open spaces, and I know how to walk them confidently and keep them engaged. I once house-sat for a neighbor for a full week, caring for 4 dogs and 3 cats together. I'm also not afraid to set boundaries when needed, so your dog gets both playtime and structure.
“Bethany is a LIFE SAVER‼️ We were looking for help last minute and she accommodated us so quickly and professionally. She truly cares about our babies (two Siberian huskies), gets their exercise in & shows them all the love. We 100% trust her with them and our home. People like her are hard to find. She is now our go-to-gal for helping us with our dogs! We are so lucky we found her.”

“Lily took great care of my kitten this week! I booked on short notice after she spent the weekend at the emergency vet. Would 100% recommend and I've already rebooked for the future :)”

“I have never used Rover before and so this was a large leap of faith for me to let someone watch my pets for 5 days. Janelle proved to be diligent in sending me updates everyday, and went above and beyond to provide for my fur babies. One of my kitties ate all the food left in her automatic feeder (knocked it over ugh) and they were not going to have enough food to last until we came back, so she went to the store and picked up more food for them!! I would recommend Janelle every time and will be using her again in the future for services 💕🥰 Thanks again!!”

“Sophia did a great job caring for my kitties while I was on vacation. She made sure to give them love and attention as if they were her own. I loved that I got pictures every day, so I never had to worry about them.”

“Sydney went above and beyond taking care of my puppy. She clearly loves animals and is very communicative with everything. If i could give more stars I would!!! Highly recommend her care for your pets!!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with medium-sized dogs in my family, neighbors and friends! I don’t discriminate against any dog size, and I’m also open to taking on larger dogs. I work full time a 9-5 but I always make time! In the evening and weekends are open to new adventures! Some weekends and low key! I need/prefer a fenced in yard. Dog must be potty trained and leash trained. My home is tick and flea free ! This will vary depending on services requested.
About: Hello Hello! I’ve been caring for pets for 5 years - from energetic 10 week old puppies to 13 y/o senior dogs, (and many more in between!) - and I truly treat every animal like family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy pups to pets who need a little extra care or patience. Pet care is something I’m happy to incorporate into my routine! I’m currently in school, so I don’t have to work around a strict work schedule. I’m available for morning/ afternoon/ evening walks or visits, and I’m flexible with scheduling to fit your pet’s needs. Whether it’s a midday potty break and feeding or overnight care in your home, I’d be there to help make things easy and stress-free. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping things as familiar and safe as possible. I’ll stick close to your pet’s usual routine- with feeding, walks, playtime, or medication- so they feel secure and comfortable while you’re away! I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll be mindful of your space, follow your instructions, and make sure your pet has everything they need. Whether I’m doing a quick drop-in or staying overnight, you can count on updates and photos, so you always know how things are going!
About: Hey Friends! My name is Julia Guy. I bring 17 years of hands‑on animal care experience from the equine industry, pet care centers, and veterinary support roles. I’ve worked as a wrangler, equine caretaker, pet care technician, and veterinary technician, which has given me extensive experience with animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m confident with energetic dogs, seniors, anxious pets, and animals needing structured routines or extra patience. My approach is calm, attentive, and safety‑focused, and I always take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality. Your animals will receive reliable, compassionate care every visit. I currently work part‑time as a veterinarian, which gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop‑ins, and consistent daily care. I prioritize each pet’s schedule and ensure they receive reliable attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the week. As a resident of Northern Indiana, I have access to many free public parks and walking trails that offer plenty of exercise and entertainment. In my home, pets have a safe, structured environment with a fenced yard and two friendly dogs for companionship if they love meeting new friends. I follow each pet’s routine closely, provide calm, attentive handling, and ensure they feel secure. In a client’s home, I respect their space, maintain consistency with feeding, exercise, and training preferences, and keep communication open so owners always know how their pet is doing.
About: I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs all throughout high school, specifically with families and working couples. I understand the importance pets have in the structure of any family, and it’s my pleasure to offer peace knowing your pet is being taken care of and loved while you’re away. I like meeting pets where they’re at, wether it’s running around a park with energetic Border Collies or lounging around with a chill cat. As a full time college student, I see my pets between classes, take care of them during my study breaks, and even bring them to my favorite study spots! I make sure that all their needs are met through any environment and situation. I never push them past what their owner has made clear they are comfortable with.
About: Hello, my name’s Anna. I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16. My family got a golden doodle several years ago and he has definitely been a joy and a task. Having a dog such as mine has made me more comfortable in my dog caring skills and fairly knowledgeable about what needs dogs have. I’m also very well equipped to handle puppies as I recently got a cocker spaniel several months ago. But given that, my passion for dogs continues to grow. I now as an independent adult have 2 dogs who I’ve had the pleasure of raising as puppies to where they are at now. I work full time but like to stay active and adding furry friends to the mix on my days off is no big task. I would love to see more dog friends and help them socialize and make someone’s life easier. I don’t have a fenced in back yard, but I am capable of taking dogs on as many walks as needed. I am also capable of putting dogs in a crate and preparing them for crating as long as needed.
About: I was once a veterinary assistant and I used to house sit with pets as my primary responsibility. Past employers have relied on my caretaking. I currently homeschool my kids and work at home. This would allow me to have an open schedule of caring for your beloved fur baby or babies! I have 1 dog, 2 cats and 6 chickens of my own. I handle all their care including nail clippings, bathing if needed, feeding, watering, administering medications and loving on them!

About: I have had animals my whole life. Dogs especially ranging from all sizes. I am sure to pay close attention to animals needs, ensure they are eating, using the restroom, and enjoying themselves! I am happy to enrich your animal, comfort, and love on them while you are away! If you have any further questions, please let me know! I am happy to help how I can! I am currently transitioning in my career and would love to stay busy by helping you and your pets! My schedule is flexible and am happy to help in anyway that best fits your situation. I am comfortable checkin in on animals throughout the day, staying with them overnight, or stopping by to feed. About: Hello, I'm a big animal lover. Life is always better with furry friends! I have pretty much always had a dog most of my life & always consider them family. I was lucky & got to be there when my former fur baby was born. Her mom let me massage her hips & tummy while in labor. It was her 1st litter & she was awesome!! She let me handle all 9 of the babies after she was done delivering so we could transfer all them to a clean bed & to help rotate at feeding time to ensure they all ate. All 9 survived & were healthy!! I was also a "doula" for my mom's cats pregnancy & she let me massage her tummy & handle her babies right away also. It's a blessing to see & be a part of. I would love to provide a safe and comfortable care for your pet while you are away. I used to have birds, cats, fish, been around reptiles & snakes, turtles, I worked at an eagle rapture center in Alaska which is where I'm from. I have a strong belief to only work in something you love so here I am. :-) Your pet will receive the same love & attention as if they were my own & provide plenty of pictures. Before I became a provider for Rover I used the service a few times myself & was very appreciative when I was given daily updates & pictures & want to provide the same for others. It truly meant a lot to me to get that so I know the importance. -Reliable, Safe, Comfortable w/ all animals -Wellness checks -Doggie daycare in your home-Rover doesn't allow me to add this feature/pricing-please ask for free quote -Pet Sitting -Pet Grooming -Walking/Running/Playtime -Pickup/Drop Off for Appointments -Training -Overnight care -Reiki/Massage for pets -I'm more than happy to help w/ some extra house cleaning (additional) so don't be afraid to ask. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
