We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter for our cat, Yodi. At 18 years old, she needs medication and a little extra care, and Ariela handled everything wonderfully. Yodi usually doesn’t warm up to strangers, so it meant so much to see how relaxed, happy, and comfortable she looked in the photos and videos we received while we were away. It was clear she was getting plenty of love, attention, and excellent care. The updates gave us tremendous peace of mind, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty. We would absolutely trust Ariela with Yodi again! 🐾💕

About: Caring for dogs is something I truly love, not just a service I provide. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, just like they would at home. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine, and preferences so I can give them the kind of care they’re used to. Whether that means long walks, playtime to burn off energy, or simply quiet companionship and extra cuddles, I adjust to what makes them happiest. I’m attentive to details like feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions, and I always keep a close eye on their behavior and well-being. I also believe communication matters just as much as care. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and in good hands. At the end of the day, I treat every dog like they’re my own, with patience, kindness, and a lot of love. I am a professional dog sitter and spend a majority of the day at home. I only leave the house to run the occasional errand and drop-off/pick-up my kid from school. I have a large, fully fenced yard that allows dogs to play, explore, and get plenty of exercise in a secure space. It’s an ideal environment for both active dogs who love to run and more relaxed dogs who enjoy being outside at their own pace. I always supervise outdoor time to ensure every dog remains safe while having fun. Inside the home, I maintain a calm, clean, and structured environment where dogs can feel comfortable and settle in easily. I follow each dog’s routine closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, crate training, or specific care instructions, so their experience feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. Beyond the physical environment, I prioritize trust through consistent communication. I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing. I’m attentive, detail-oriented, and quick to notice any changes in behavior or needs.

About: I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and have grown up caring for and spending time with pets. I’m patient, attentive, and enjoy building a trusting bond with each pet while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Pet sitting is something I truly enjoy and would love to make time for alongside my other responsibilities. I’m happy to provide walks, playtime, companionship, feeding, and general care based on each pet’s individual routine and needs. I also have experience working at a veterinary clinic, where I had the opportunity to interact with and care for many different types of pets. That experience taught me the importance of being attentive to an animal’s behavior, comfort, and individual personality. If a pet needs to stay with me, I live in a pet-friendly neighborhood with designated areas for dogs and a nearby park where they can enjoy additional space and exercise as well a fenced backyard. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while they’re in my care.

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets and was always the neighborhood pet sitter as a kid! I’ve loved animals ever since I could remember and making pets feel loved has grown to be one of the many things that bring me joy and fulfillment. I believe every pet is deserving of love the best possible care throughout their entire life. From fish to hamsters to bearded dragons and dogs, I’ve learned that every pet has different needs. Pet care is subjective and over time, I have come to understand that. I have experience with all age stages when it comes to dogs. I followed my late dog, Pepo, through all of his life stages and learned to take care of him as a senior dog. I also have experience with puppies! When my cousin’s dog welcomed 6 puppies to this world, I helped her family take care of them and accompanied them to their vet visits. In short, I am comfortable with all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. Currently, I’m a college student going to school 3 times a week. Most of my classes end before noon giving me plenty of time for walks and drop ins throughout the day. The same goes for the two days where I do not have classes (Tuesdays and Thursdays). At the moment, I do not offer to take care of pets in my own home. However, with your trust and clear instructions, I am confident in my ability to provide the best care and support for your pet(s)!

From extra long walks to lots of play time, I want them to feel comfortable enough that they don’t miss their owners too much under my care. About: I’ve been a dog mom for 14 years 🐶 (to my boy Michael Thomasz who is now in doggie heaven 🙏🏼). After his very difficult passing on the family, I volunteered at different animal shelters and rescues bringing awareness to dog adoption and quality care. I decided to create a legacy in Mikey’s name so our love for him may keep on growing in the care for other dogs. I love and care for all dogs deeply as if they were my very own! They are part of the family and they all have a personality of their own! I have experience and expertise caring for special needs and gentle love and patience to give to senior dogs. I focus on a cage-free environment and personalized attention, unlike other dog caretakers. Dogs may not talk but they DO communicate 😃 I am attentive to details to ensure I am providing a safe space full of love and everything they need. I am First Aid and CPR Certified. I am open to get directions on how your loved one behaves, likes, dislikes and anything else I can do to make their stay pleasant and memorable. I provide updates on the actions taken such as feeding, walking and daily activities as well as accommodate pictures and video calls to ensure you have peace of mind. I welcome hearing suggestions and feedback as this is a positive and healthy environment ✨ Check me out with a discount! Promo Code: BETTYV61589 I have a flexible schedule to accommodate your preference in day and times. I prioritize my furry clients and ensure I provide them with uninterrupted quality time during your booking. I am home based for daycare and hotel services. I have a designated exclusive area for your pup and it is cleaned every day to ensure your furry baby is in a comfortable and clean space. I wash and sanitize all the covers, blankets, toys and any other supplies that are used with our dogs. Each dog gets their own clean supplies at the beginning of their stay for daycare and hotel stays. • If I am visiting your home during drop-in visits, I’ll be sure to clean up any doggie messes before I leave. • For walks, I am fully equipped with bags and additional leashes. • I also heavily rely on pet hair rollers to ensure we are hairball free (as much as possible anyway!) • For the safety of our dogs, I ensure all designated doggie areas are free of clutter or other items that may fall on them or cause them any harm.

About: I grew up on a farm and have a lifetime of experience caring for animals of all kinds. Cats, dogs, horses, goats, chickens, pigs, you name it! I like taking a long walk in the morning, followed by playtime and sometimes a run or visit to the lake in the afternoon. I don't mind getting dirty with the dogs, and will play in the rain! A walk after dinner is also part of the typical routine. In North Fort Lauderdale, we have an open, airy, loft style townhouse. The backyard is fenced in, and we are only a short walk away from the dog park. Our neighborhood has several shaded, tree lined streets, and is a nice, quiet, safe place to take a walk. I have a plethora of patience as well as experience with puppies, seniors, and special needs pets. I also am available to care for your pets in your own home. My husband and I spend the summer in Saratoga Springs, NY, and the winter in sunny Fort Lauderdale, FL. The schedule created through Rover opportunities will be my primary work committment. My schedule is flexible so I am able to meet your pets needs and fit into your routine. I prefer to book one client at a time in order to give your pets the care and attention they deserve while you are away. I have had many animals my entire life, so I know how important it is to stay aware of your surroundings at all times. When walking your dog, they will always be on leash and securely held. I love taking photos, and will provide several from our time together, but I do not use my phone for fun when with your pet. Please be patient if awaiting a response, as I focus 100% on the pet I am currently with, and do not have my phone glued to my hand all day. Animals are aware when you're not paying attention and they will take advantage of you! I pride myself on providing the level of care and attention I expect when leaving my own animals in someone else's care. Attention to detail and listening to what the animal is telling you is key to keeping everyone safe and happy.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in North Lauderdale with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Lauderdale. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
