Raena was punctual and gave Dexter a great walk and also made sure my cat got some moments outside too! Both seemed very happy when I got home from work. I’d gladly ask her to help out with them again.

About: Hi my name is Kate!! I am a college student looking to help out some sweet dogs. I am a long time dog lover. I have had dogs my entire life up until this last April when my yorkie poo passed away. I am looking to fill a hole in my life while helping out others. I'm here to make sure that your dogs feel safe and comfortable. I’ll give them cuddles, long walks, playtime, and whatever else is needed for them to have a great time!! I have experience with both senior dogs and puppies as well as those who need a little more care or have special regimens. I will walk them many times throughout the day however, I also have a fully fenced in yard ready to be played in!! As I am a college student on break I am almost always home as well as my dad who works from home. I am ready to accommodate all in order to ensure your dog is safe and happy!! Reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet! I am a college student on break living with a parent who works from home. This means that your dog will always be in great hands. There will be plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and whatever else is needed for them to have a nice and comfortable stay. I live in a residential neighborhood with well-lit sidewalks that are great for dog walking! I also have a fully fenced in backyard for some quality playtime.

About: I didn’t grow up with dogs of my own but all my friends had dogs and some of my family did, too. I’ve been around Great Danes to little chihuahuas. I do take care of my best friends two dogs when she is working her 12 hour shifts which includes letting them out to potty, feeding them, giving treats and of course all the rubs and lovings. I currently work part time at a doctors office so my afternoons and evenings are very open. Doing care in the morning before work is also not an issue. I do start work at 7am, but I am happy to stay the night or get there early before my shift. I unfortunately would not be able to offer services in my home unless it was a caged or tanked animal because I do have 4 cats currently. One of my cats is absolutely terrified of dogs.

About: I've enjoyed living with dogs ever since I was born, and I have been taking care of dogs since I was able to stay home alone. More recently, I've fostered all kinds of dogs for owners while they were on vacation or unable to care for their babies themselves. My family and I also started a nonprofit dog rescue organization where I trained and fostered multiple puppies and dogs in my home while waiting for them to be adopted. I usually work as a teacher, so other than being with my family and taking care of my own dogs, I will be able to care for your pet as much as you need! I will cater my pet sitting skills to you and your babies needs! I'm passionate about providing the utmost respect and care for your dog and your home. I will follow your instructions to the best of my ability and always ask questions if I'm unsure of anything. I have five dogs and know how scary and heartbreaking it can be to leave them while you go on vacation, so I plan to make this experience as quick and easy as possible for you and your dog.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover — I grew up with dogs and currently have my own at home, including a big, sweet brindle girl and a small, shaggy pup, so I’m comfortable with all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Whether your dog needs a calm stroll or an energetic outing to burn off some steam, I pay attention to their pace, cues, and comfort level the whole time. Experience: Having dogs of my own means I know the little things that matter — reading body language, handling leash manners, watching for signs of overheating or fatigue, and making sure every walk ends with a happy, tired dog. I treat every dog I walk with the same care and attention I’d want for mine. Monday through Friday, mornings through early afternoon, up until 3:00 PM. I’m happy to work out a consistent walking schedule that fits your dog’s routine. Safety & What to Expect Your dog’s safety and comfort come first, always. Here’s what you can count on: • Meet & greet first — Before our first walk, I like to meet you and your dog so they can get comfortable with me on their own turf, and so we can go over any specific needs, routines, or triggers. • Secure handling — I double-check leashes, collars, and harnesses before heading out, and I’m attentive to gates, doors, and busy streets. • Reading your dog — With experience handling behaviorally challenging dogs, I pay close attention to body language and stress signals, and I’ll adjust the pace, route, or approach if your dog needs it. • No dog-park surprises — I won’t introduce your dog to unfamiliar dogs or people without your OK. • Updates you can trust — You’ll get a photo or video from the walk, plus a quick note on how it went (bathroom breaks, energy level, anything worth mentioning). • Emergency plan — I’ll ask for your vet’s info and any emergency contacts up front, and I know how to stay calm and act quickly if something unexpected comes up. • Respect for your home — If I’m entering your home to grab your dog, I’ll treat it like my own — doors locked, alarm set, nothing out of place. Communication is a big part of how I work — if anything comes up during a walk, you’ll hear from me right away, not after the fact.

About: Hi I have plenty of personal experience from owning my own dogs and cats since I was 5 . I’v Also had experience from family members and friends relying on me to watch , feed and stop in occasionally to check in on there pets while out of town or at work . I have owned a couple puppies so I can help maintain your potty training schedule , and or any schedule your dog or cat might need and or be accustomed to. My entire schedule currently revolves around taking care of and watching pets . For work and in my free time . If I’m not taking care of mg own pets I’m taking care of somebody else . I work with animals during the week and on the weekends I am available for pet sitting and some occasional week afternoons and week nights I am available I have a fully fenced in back yard for your fur babies to run around in and have fun . depending on the weather I have water toys and pools for pups to play in . I keep an extra dog cage for anyone who crate trains there dog and or prefers them to be locked away at night for safety purposes. There is a park located at the end of my street we can go for walks or local trails if pre approved by parents/owners . i often watch my sister puppy who loves to play with other dogs so if your pup needs a friend he can stop over for play date’s. If pre approved by me and owner. please keep in mind he can be very hyper because he is still young so it would be recommended that they meet first to make sure their energy levels match, but he also is not fixed so any unfixed females or males will not be allowed to have a play date unfortunately so there is no chance for accidents. For any cats I have cat trees for they to sit and lay on for bird or squirrel watching if that’s what they prefer I also have some crazy kittens currently running around at the moment who love to play and can help keep your cat comfortable and happy while being here on for there stay . If your cat prefers there independence I have plenty of space to keep them separated from any dogs or other cats in the house. I do know some animals first aid for minor issues / injuries I will be stocking up on more medical supplies incase a small issues ever occurs .

About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! I will be putting all my focus on pet-care as my full time job. Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday. I have been around pets for a long time and feel I am able to pick up on signs if anything might be wrong with your furry friend.

About: I enjoy being around dogs, as i have one of my own now, i had dogs growing up and they have always been a friend i needed. I’m always the person at the gathering that spends more time with the dog rather than people lol. I have wanted to become a veterinarian since a kid, although i grew out of that, i know my purpose is to work with the voiceless, animals. (although they have their own voice lol). I’m currently doing this for experience due to being in school full time/work. I plan on advancing my knowledge in animal behavior. I am currently working full time Friday-Sunday. I am free Monday/Thursday. Thursday is not open as a service because i am only available until 12pm. I am very aware of surroundings during dog walks and aware that dogs will be dogs. I’ve studied multiple breeds and i am one to know that some breeds react differently than others, such as my own dog. I think dogs are misunderstanding and people don’t realize they do not think like humans. It is not easy to trust someone with your furry loved one, trust your intuition. I treat others peoples pet like i would want mine to be treated, with respect, patience and love.

Barbara has been a blessing to me and my golden retriever. My mom passed away about a month ago and she watched over the dog while I was at work so I was in a situation where if I couldn’t create a life for my dog during the hours I’m away from home I would have to think of giving her up and that would have been devastating. Barbara agreed to come out twice a day to take care of Cassidy and she has been the most dependable, caring, and compassionate person to my beloved dog. She was so patient with Cassidy, she was going through a big adjustment with the loss of my mom. Barbara truly spent a lot of time establishing a bond with her and slowly they have developed a nice routine of playing in the backyard. They relax in the sun, play ball and with all her toys. I am very thankful to Barbara for the dependability, her caring nature and the smile on my dog each day I come home let’s me know I chose the right service and the perfect person to care after my dog. Thank you Barbara!

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
