“Amber always takes great care of Jack and Sophie! She keeps us well updated on how they are doing and sends the best photos. Our dogs do great with her dog Autumn and her cats. Her kids are also great with dogs!”

“Jamie is a fantastic dog sitter! She was very communicative and helped make the process very easy. We loved getting multiple updates and pictures every day of Stella playing and cuddling with her new doggie friends! We will be booking with Jamie again!”

“Aaron took amazing care of Tucker and Lucy! He kept me updated with messages and photos, made sure they were comfortable, and treated them like his own. Both dogs came home happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. I felt completely at ease the whole time. I’ll definitely be booking with him again—highly recommend!”

“Ever since I’ve found Ricardo I’m able to travel without any worries he updates me frequently with pictures and how beans is doing. Glad to have found him and will be using him from here on out 😬”

“We were nervous about leaving our dog Charlie with someone other than family. Debra’s daily updates helped us to feel comfortable. Charlie was happy and well taken care of. We would book with her again.”

“Very accommodating. The girls were comfortable. I received updates and photos which really made me happy. It’s reassuring to see your animals while you’re away from them.”

“Cara and Dan are wonderful people! They took wonderful care of our dog while we were out at a wedding. If we lived in the area we’d ask them to care for our dog all the time! Thank you Cara and Dan!”

“Indigo had a great time with Rochelle and her family! They were easy to communicate with and sent us updates with photos. Rochelle was flexible when our return time changed a bit, which was much appreciated!”

“MY boxer Luna was very happy. I received texts and photos every day. I will definitely call Amiee again if I need her! Thank you! Emiee, you made my trip easy and I was able to enjoy it, knowing that Luna was fine!”

“Excellent hosts! Even before I finished dropping off my 20lb Cavalier mix Lindsy was already figuring out what terms he listens to and how he likes to play. When I picked him up he wasn’t interested in water(meaning he had already had his fill), his eyes were clean, and he was that perfect level of tired that showed he had been played with well. I will be back and would suggest Lindsy and her home to anyone.”

“Corrie took great care of Berkeley. When we came home it was like he had a vacation and was tired and happy. Corrie texted us every day and sent photos, even taking him to Estes Park. Berkeley is an active dog and Corrie is a runner so they got lots of exercise.”

“I don’t know where to begin. Valerie was so accommodating and flexible. The communication was amazing. I wasn’t sure Bravely was going to want to come home after seeing the pictures and videos. Now that she is, she has been sleeping for hours. I’d give 100 stars if it were possible ♥️”

About: I've loved dogs since childhood and have always had one by my side. Right now, I have a toy poodle, so I understand the unique needs of small breeds firsthand—from their exercise requirements to their more delicate care compared to larger dogs. Because of this, I'm especially comfortable and confident caring for small dogs under 20 lbs. What sets me apart is the personal, hands-on experience I bring: I know how to read small dogs' body language, keep them calm around bigger animals, and give them the gentle, attentive care they thrive on. I'm patient, observant, and treat every dog like my own poodle—with genuine affection and close attention to their comfort and safety. I work from home. So I will be able to take care of your pet. If you have something on weekend or on Holiday then you can rely on me I have a toy poodle who is very friendly. He loves to play. If your pup is not aggresive then he will be safe here. I can give your food or my pets food.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for many many years. I have 2 dogs of my own. They make me happy and are my pride and joy/ I take my dogs out every morning and they have a routine. This helps to keep their potty behavior straight as well as their other behaviors I have a dog park here as well as different rooms to desperate dogs if they get upset with each other. I am very good with calming dogs who become upset
“This was the first time I have ever left my dog with another person, and safe to say I wasn’t disappointed. Megan was an amazing sitter for my 60lbs pit-bull, Polar. He enjoyed my walks and cuddles during his stay. Megan sent many pictures and updates, and followed all the guidelines that we gave. Honestly, we could not have asked for better. Polar will indeed be back!!!”

“Morgan was fantastic with our dog, Stella! She had great communication throughout our trip and shared plenty of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Stella was well cared for and happy the entire time. We’d absolutely book with Morgan again and highly recommend her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their North Greece home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your North Greece.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your North Greece sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
