About: I love dogs and I know that most dogs are happiest with their families. I do everything I can to help guest pups integrate into our little dog pack and feel at home while their families are away. I’ve been dogsitting for quite some time now and have experienced all shapes and sizes. I love them all and enjoy getting to know their inner personalities and puzzling out what makes them content. We strive to have so much fun that the dogs are too tired to feel too sad. About our family/home: my wife and I both work from home and have flexibility to care for pups during the day. We have a fenced yard with a dog door and are close to the river, the foothills, a friendly dog park, and a quiet neighborhood for walking. River, 8, is a retriever mix who loves hikes in the foothills and the occasional game of chase or wrestle, but is pretty mellow at home. Theo, 1, is a golden retriever who loves all dogs and people. Both dogs have lot of experience playing with other dogs and hosting dogs in their home. We typically only take dogs from one household at a time unless we have indication that the dogs will get along well. We’ve also found that we all do best if a guest dog has a warmup period. Therefore, any dogs looking for a stay longer than 48 hours will be asked to do a trial run beforehand (a day of daycare or a night of boarding). This helps us ensure a peaceful and safe environment for all dogs and has the added benefit of helping a dog feel more comfortable when they return to a familiar place for their longer stay. Because we recently added a new puppy to our home, we are more selective than normal in which dogs we can board. Dogs with a history of aggression, excessive barking, or other behavior problems are not a good fit at this time. We do offer house-sitting on a limited basis. If you have a uniquely challenging dog or specific circumstances, reach out and we will see if we can make something work! We look forward to getting to know you and your dog. My partner and I both work from home, so we have a lot of flexibility. Dog needs come first in our home and we are happy to take work breaks to play or exercise. We have a fully fenced backyard with a dog-door. We live two blocks from a park that is great for fetch. Our neighborhood is great for walks.

About: I have been an avid walker and dog lover for years. I am good with dogs and love spending time with animals making them feel happy, loved, and tired out after a long walk!! Living in Boise and working remotely offers me immense flexibility. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily routine through structured walks, playtime, and dedicated attention slots. My schedule allows me to adapt to a dog's specific needs, ensuring consistent care throughout the day and week, whether it's midday potty breaks or extended outdoor adventures. My approach to pet care, whether in my home or a client's, is built on a foundation of safety and trust. For in-home care, I conduct a thorough home assessment to identify any potential hazards. When caring for pets in their own homes, I meticulously follow client instructions, maintaining their routines and environment. My deep awareness of surroundings means I'm constantly monitoring the pet, the environment, and potential risks, prioritizing their well-being above all else. For walks, I use secure leashes and harnesses, avoid busy areas if preferred, and always carry water and first-aid essentials. Building trust with both the pet and owner is paramount, achieved through clear communication and consistent, reliable care.

About: Life-long dog owner, lover and trainer. My Aussie, Huck, is an experienced and friendly host. We host one guest dog at a time. I work from home. The yard is fenced, and there’s a handy window for watching the neighborhood. We enjoy hosting and caring for social dogs, and help them feel part of the pack while you're away. There’s walking, running and playing catch, and car rides for those who like them. I work part time from home, and have lots of time for dogs. I typically take them with me on short errands if they enjoy that. We like our guest dogs to feel like they’re staying with a friend, and keeping the routine they’re used to as much as possible. Ideally, our house is a place they’d be happy to come back to.

“I was very glad to meet Tiara. She has taken great care of my fur babies. They have different personalities and does great with each one. Thank you 😊”

“If I could give 6 out of 5 stars I would! My cat LOVED Brooke and Brooke went above and beyond taking care of her: She cleaned up after her when she got sick and was even willing to give that dangerously fluffy butt a trim when she had a mess there. She was also understanding and flexible when we had to adjust the visit schedule unexpectedly.”

About: Hi, we’re a family of 5 in the lower Highlands area. Sadly, we lost our family dog, Friday, last year. He was a high energy husky mix. We miss him! However, we aren’t ready to commit to adopting another dog just yet. We’d love to watch yours though! We are right across from Harrison hollow and we’re an active, outdoor family. We’ll take great care of your pooch! My husband and I both work from home & love to get out on walks during the day. We are both very active throughout the day. We have a back yard that is fenced in & room to run around in the back. We live close to walking trails and the foothills where we will take your dog on walks.

About: Hi there, fellow dog lover! I’m Cynthia, and I’m so glad you stopped by... I live in the beautiful North End of Boise and have been pet sitting for years, caring for everything from high-energy pups to wise old senior dogs and plenty of cats, and occasionally horses, and small animals too! I grew up around Saint Bernards, so I’ve been wrangling big dogs since I could walk. Our house was kind of a magnet for animals in need....strays, rescues, you name it. We never turned them away and either kept them or helped find them forever homes with family and friends. That experience shaped how I care for animals today...patient, flexible, and with a lot of heart. I’m comfortable with pups of all ages and temperaments, whether they’re anxious zoomers or mellow seniors who just want a calm presence and some TLC. Whatever kind of care your best friend needs, I’m happy to help with drop-in visits, walks, meds, belly rubs, you name it. Also, please ask me anything if you can't find it in my profile! I'm happy to discuss extra services that you or your pet needs to feel loved, safe, and happy while you're away! I'm a hiker, mountain biker, and love long walks! I am recently retired early from the tech industry and now have time to give back to my community and neighbors! I'm available 7 days a week, and for overnights if needed and if the fit is right! Contact me anytime, and we can coordinate something that works, whether it's just hanging out with your pet or having a fun adventure! I've lived a lifetime with pets and rescued animals, so for me they are family. I treat all living things with respect, understanding, and care. I'm always thinking ahead of potential scenarios when planning any outings, making sure I'm prepared with extra leashes, treats, and/or a strong understanding of an area and what to expect.

“Thank you Deb!! It was great to be able to see pictures and know that the dogs were being taken care of. We appreciated all the communication. Thank you!”

About: I come from a household of animal lovers who always adopted and housed feral animals. From dogs to cats to birds. For fun, I’ve always looked after friend’s pets when they were away. I work a job that allows me a lot of free time and I figured what’s a better way to spend that time that to go walk a dog here and there for some nice companionship. I live in a pretty secluded area that’s fenced off. I’m also pretty good at making sure pets don’t run out of the house if that were to be a possibility.

“Meg was absolutely wonderful with our puppy! She was great about sending tons of photos and videos, practiced all of her training commands, and went above and beyond to practice walking techniques! Kaya loves her and we absolutely recommend using Meg for all your dog needs!”

Alyssa was punctual and attentive to Cinder’s needs. She is professional and dedicated to the task. Highly communicative and respectful. I will be moving her to the front of the line for Cinder’s care going forward.

Emily is awesome— she is incredibly accommodating with our ever-changing schedule and still shows up and takes great care of our kitty.

Mikayla was an awesome cat sitter! She was very conscientious and kept in touch with me for med clarifications, sent great photos and was very easy to coordinate with. Highly recommend!

We seriously cannot recommend Heidi enough. She took such great care of our cat. She was so attentive to her needs. She gave her plenty of love, and lots of food (per our request). Heidi made it so easy being gone, because I wasn’t worried about our cat. I knew she was being well cared for. One of the days she went to check on our cat, our apartment complex was checking the fire alarms. Our cat is terrified of loud noises and was hiding under the bed and wouldn’t come out. Heidi took the time to make another visit later that day, without me asking her, to make sure our cat was doing okay. Heidi is so great! If you’re looking for a Rover, she is the best. She will be our go to every time we need a Rover.

Christin was so great with Neji! All the pics and updates each day were so fun! She's very responsive, and took care of Neji like he was her own :)

Angela was absolutely AMAZING. She was so helpful, and did the absolute most to make me feel like our animals had the best care. I loved seeing the updates she sent me, and knowing that everything was going so well why we were away. She stayed and actually played with my dogs, and even helped me with my garden. We will absolutely be using Angela again, and couldn't recommend more!

Katie was great with our cats. We enjoyed receiving all the photos of her activities with them. She was great at accommodating our visit schedule and working with our care instructions.

Essence does a great job with my pets, whether she's housesitting or just dropping in. She is a great communicator, and it feels like she really loves and cares for them!

Sydnee is awesome! She's very easy to work with and so communicative. We're lucky to have her for Neji's visits :)

Mackenzie was great for our meet and greet! She knew exactly how to approach Z and was very transparent about her schedule and availability. Z was excited about the walk and she handled him and his strength wonderfully!!!!

We had a great first meeting. Kayla knew exactly how to handle Z and was a great match for all of us!!!

Roxana was amazing with my older cat Lola as well as my geckos and frogs. She was very kind and kept up on their care exactly how I would. It is clear how much she loves animals and I would absolutely trust her with my pets again in the future.

Erika took excellent care of my boys! She was communicative and really took the time to understand their needs.

Kristi was super flexible and accommodating to some unexpected changes to our situation. We’re so thankful. Thanks, Kristi!
