About: Hi all! My name is Veronica. I'm an Amherst College alumna ('17) and current 4th year med student (Dartmouth, Geisel School of Medicine '26). I spent my childhood in rural NY, TN, and VA with my grandparents and our dogs, cats, and parrot. In my household, animals were viewed as family, and were always treated as such. I've been taking care of/loving cats & dogs of all sizes (we have owned a daschund named Mr. Wiggles, an Irish Wolfhound named Hobbs, a collie named Blue, to name a few) and ages (puppies to salt&pepper seniors) since I was 5. My partner and I are also proud cat parents to two bonded, adopted cats (Gaston & Basil). I have cared for several friends', neighbors', and strangers turned clients' cats and dogs while they were away/traveling! I hope to bring the same love, respect, and care to your pet that I show my own when you are not there. No pet is too small, too big, too silly, or too drooly for me! I will be based in New Haven, CT working on my residency application, research, and other personal projects with much free time in the upcoming year (2025-26). I am happy to house-sit your pet in your own home, be a dog-walker, or drop-in to feed/walk/play with your pet. For dog-walking & drop-in services, I would prefer if clients are within a 10-15 minute drive from New Haven, CT, though I will consider each request individually. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate dogs or cats in my own apartment.

About: I have fostered over 12 puppies, 2 adult dogs and had a dog reactive rescue for 11 years. I know how to handle an anxious dog on a walk, and how to react if something scares them. I work full time, but am open to morning and evening/night walks, as well as long weekend walks for dogs with higher energy needs. I also can stay overnight whenever needed. I would love a checklist or small description of how to keep your pet at their happiest. I love to make sure every animal gets the attention they need and want.

“Shannon was excellent! I could tell she adored my cats and genuinely cared about their well-being while I was away. Absolutely would use again!”

About: I’m excited to meet your fur babies and provide you with peace of mind that they’re getting high quality, attentive care while you’re away. I always grew up with cats and dogs and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers. When I started graduate school in 2012, I adopted my first kitten (who is easily the love of my life). She is now a sassy 13yo senior and her sister- another rescue cat adopted as a kitten- was diagnosed with lymphoma over a year ago. Navigating my own cats’ medication regimens motivated me to sign up as a Rover sitter. I want to take the stress out of leaving pets at home, especially when they need to be given meds. By day I am a researcher with a PhD in Immunology. I am in the lab a lot but my schedule is very flexible. I am able to drop-in M-F before and after work, but if needed I’m also able to drop-in during the day. On weekends I’m generally available at any time. Looking forward to making sure your pets have everything they need to be as happy, comfortable, and safe as possible while their humans are away. I am very confident administering medications of all sorts (topical, injectable, oral- liquid or pill) and tailor my technique to your pet’s disposition to minimize (or eliminate if possible) any stress.

“Kenzie is fabulous. Her love and ease with animals was evident at our first meet. Kenzie is flexible and dependable. She went above and beyond to check in on our cat while we were on vacation who wasn’t feeling well. We felt such a sense of relief knowing our animals were in safe hands while we were away. Highly recommend.”

“Hired Emily to do drop in visits on our pets during our Wedding weekend. We have 2 big dogs and a cat, she was great with all of them. Sent plenty of great photos and gave good updates, plus the animals loved her. Would definitely recommend and will be my go to if we need a pet sitter again.”

“Kellie is fantastic! She came to my rescue with 2 drop-ins on very short notice! She was easy to work with, flexible and accommodating! I was so grateful- thanks again Kellie!”

About: I have about 10 years of experiences taking care of cats, dogs, and small animals. I have experience bonding/introducing new pets in the home, having taken a boot camp a few years ago and doing it multiple times with rabbits, cats (one success, one not), and a dog/cat combo. I've also leash trained my own dog, parents dog and a friends dog. I can also work on basic commands. Im comfortable brushing teeth, bathing and administering non-needle medicines. The prices on the flyer are for payments off Rover (venmo/zelle/cash app), as Rover takes 20% the prices on here are higher, whichever you're most comfortable with is fine with me! Pet care is currently my only job. Even when I have a part-time job, my schedule is very flexible and open to various appointments each day. I do not let animals off leash when outside unless in a fenced in yard/park. At my own home, I live next to a park and take walks at least 3x a day with your pup.

About: I’ve taken care of animals, especially dogs all my life. Have family with farms that i have helped with as well. So i’ll make sure your dog is being well taken care of. I’m available any day of the week and weekends as well. Anything else you might need just text/call and we can discuss further details, thanks. I have the backyard partly fenced. Won’t be able to get to front yard unless he/she go’s a certain way, but ill always supervise when i let your pup out. Can set up a runner if needed. Very big back yard with river in the back.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and always follow care instructions to the letter. Whether it's locking up securely, sticking to routines, or giving meds on time, you can trust that your pet and your space are in responsible, caring hands.

“Megan was great! We needed someone to check in on our cat Ruby for a week while we were out of the country. Megan took awesome photos and left detailed updates about not just our kitty but also the state of the home in general (ie no random leaking, etc). She was super communicative and responsive. We would definitely book with Megan again!!”

“Emma was so lovely to work with! She came and met the dogs ahead of time, which was great. She kept me up-to-date with her drop in visits, including pictures! The dogs really liked her & I will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was about 8, varying from puppies to senior dogs. I’m known to be very loving and patient with animals and having great connections with pets! I walk, feed, bathe and with my dog now being a senior dog i’m very comfortable with administering medicine as well! I have a pretty free schedule for the summer so there is plenty of time for me to spend with your pup! I babysit my 2 year old brother some days and work nights in a pizza shop over the weekend. When first meeting the dog/ animal I make sure to dedicate time to allow them to get comfortable with me and the fact that i’m in their home. I like ensuring a mutual feeling of safety and trust between the dog and I so we can have a fun and stress free time together!

About: About five years ago, my mom and I started a Rover account—Like Home Dog Services—offering dog boarding and walking to help me save for college. Since then, we’ve received over 110 five-star reviews, which you can find under Jessica Magdziasz or Like Home Dog Services on Rover! Now, as a student at Quinnipiac University, I’ve found myself with some extra time and the same deep love for dogs. Whether it's a walk while you're at work or an overnight stay while you're away, I’m here to provide dependable, loving care for your pup. Building trust with both you and your dog is my top priority, and I'm excited to bring that same level of commitment to every walk, visit, or stay. My schedule is currently very flexible, so feel free to send me a message! I’ll do my best to find a time that works well for you! If you’re planning a trip, I recommend reaching out early to ensure availability and avoid any scheduling conflicts. Safety and trust are my top priorities, whether I’m walking your pup or caring for them in your home. For walks, I always use secure, well-fitted harnesses or collars and avoid busy areas when needed to make sure your dog feels safe and comfortable. I also take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and needs—whether that’s a slow stroll, an energetic run, or extra time for sniffs and play. For house sitting, I treat your home with the utmost respect and do my best to keep your pet’s routine consistent. I stick to your instructions, provide plenty of love and attention, and make sure your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away. I know how important trust is, and I take that responsibility seriously.

About: I am an exceptional dog trainer which is another service that I provide. I don't mind working with troubled or hard cases. Raised dogs half my life. Used to be deeply involved with different rescue operations and local vets to do what I can for these pups. Also have experience with dog boarding at corporate facilities however I run everything right out of my home. So it's more like visiting your pups uncle Marco rather than a lil puppy prison. My other day job is taking care of my handicapped mother so no reason that I can't take care if some furry balls of move too while I'm at it! I'm home often which is where I board and watch the puppers. So we have a fenced in back yard and a large house. My mother does smoke but only upstairs and in her room. Bad mother! However its relatively isolated and isnt noticeable from downstairs. We have a 5 year old labrador retriever and small house cat to keep any visitors entertained! They are both very playful, gentle and non aggressive

“Veronika would be a great dog sitter. She is an extremely caring and trusting person not only to animals to people as well. She's previously owned multiple dogs so she understands the workload that comes with taking care of an animal.”

Casey C.
“Casey is our go-to pet sitter! She is compassionate and reliable and our pets love her. Leia loves her weekly walk with Casey. Casey is attentive and puts so much care into her time with Leia. She really took the time to get to know Leia’s quirks and likes/dislikes.”

Shannon C.

“Shannon was excellent! I could tell she adored my cats and genuinely cared about their well-being while I was away. Absolutely would use again!”

Kelli C.
“Kelli is truly the cat whisperer! I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her. Not only did she take incredible care of my cat Shiloh while I was away (like, daily updates and pure love-level care), but she’s also been my go-to for literally every cat concern under the sun. I’ve called her with my own panicked cat questions, and I’ve even had friends call her with theirs—because she just knows her stuff and somehow always makes you feel calm and reassured. Shiloh adores her (which says a lot), and I will never trust anyone else to watch her. Kelli’s not just a cat sitter—she is my personal feline therapist.”

“Alexis used to watch our 2 dogs and chickens when we would go on vacation. She was always very punctual and communicative, sending pictures and informing us of mishaps (like a cow wandering into our yard!). Alexis is great and can handle most things thrown her way!”

Gabriel M.
“I couldn’t recommend Gabriel more! He is reliable, dedicated, and so eager to care for animals. I’ve known him for 25+ years and would trust him with all my pets. I currently have two large breed dogs, it can take some time to gain their trust, yet Gabriel had them on his lap after 5 minutes of meeting them. He is one of their favorite people now. My female dog, Maisey, is totally obsessed with him. It’s clear that he not only loves animals, but can truly understand them and their needs. He is the person you want to care for your pets!!”

If your pet likes lots of attention and to snuggle close in bed at night, then I would definitely reach out to Alex. I have no doubt he will treat your pet like family.”
