About: I’ve grown up with cats and I have one myself. I live in Russian Hill and work from home and I’m able to stop by whenever and wherever for a quick visit or overnight stay. I prefer to meet briefly over video before the day arrives. I work from home Monday through Friday at 8 AM to 4 PM but I can also stop in for lunchtime if you are nearby Russian Hill. If you’d like me to come for a longer stay, then I can bring my laptop and work from your apartment so that your pet has some company for a longer period of time. I love pets and I can provide lots of flexibility to you when it comes to cancellation and last-minute bookings. I am so appreciative glad you are willing to trust me and taking care of your little loved ones. I promise that I will treat them as if they were my own. I could not live my life without pets- the mutual love and support they provide and supported me my whole life. I am so happy to find this service where I can conveniently check in on loved pets easily with my flexible schedule. I’m typically open to saying a bit longer than the allotted time if able. I am open to sharing cat food so please let me know if you need some and I will bring it. :)

About: Grew up with dogs of various ages and breeds, including a boxer, rottweiler, doberman, and jack russell terrier. Most recently lost our buddy, Morton, our salt & pepper miniature schnauzer of 15 years. Our toddler also loves all kinds of animals, especially dogs. He is very gentle and mellow, and would love to have another dog around to take on walks and play with. There will always be 1 or 2 adults working from home to be with and walk the dog. Any pet in our care would never be alone! We also live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and have many green spaces and parks nearby. As long-time owners of dogs of various ages from puppy to senior, we understand the needs of pets. Our most recent pup, Morton, was 15 years old when he passed, but required a special diet and care for several years before the end of his life. We only watch one dog at a time to make sure your pup receives our full attention and care. While our toddler loves dogs and pets, it is also important that any pet in our care is comfortable with young children. If you are unsure how your dog will behave around young kids, please consider other sitters. We do not want to risk the safety of our child or the comfort of your pet. Our apartment is best suited for dogs 30lbs and under. Please help us ensure your pet has the best stay by bringing their preferred bed, water bowl, toy(s), treats, food, and whatever else your pet needs to be comfortable in it's home away from home.

This was my first time using Rover so I was very nervous to leave our new puppy with a stranger, but wow, I couldn’t imagine a better experience than with Shelley! She was so kind and loving, sent photos and videos throughout the day. Multiple walks. Our puppy peed in her house and she was super understanding (sorry!!). She was very experienced with dogs and had incredible energy. I think our puppy would’ve been quite content if her never picked her up again and she just lived with Shelley and her husband! I highly recommend her!
We booked Martha for dog-sitting but unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute—but she was very communicative and lovely to deal with, and we would definitely use her in the future!

During my visit to San Francisco, I left my dog Olive with Ilgaz for two days. She had a great time and played a lot. I chose Ilgaz based on a recommendation from someone else living in San Francisco, and I was very satisfied. She’s both reliable and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. We were visiting San Francisco and seeing a Giants game so we decided to leave our dog Winnie with Betty for the day. She was exceptional in every way! Great communication, updates throughout the day and lots of pictures! This was our first time ever leaving Winnie with a stranger and she typically takes a long time to warm up to new people so naturally we were a little nervous about leaving her for the day but Betty did an excellent job of making Winnie feel comfortable and secure.

I was in a huge bind and at 10 o’clock at night. Kate immediately responded to me saying that she could watch my dog for the day. Kaia has separation anxiety but immediately warmed up to Kate, which shows what a kind nature Kate has. She sent me lots of pictures and kept me updated. I was never worried about Kaia!
