“First time I worked with Vicki and she took great care of my kitties. She showed up in the time frame requested, was nice to them, and gave special attention to the special requests I had. She is easy to work with and I would recommend her to fellow pet owners.”

About: From ages 13 to 18, I began regularly volunteering for Paws for Seniors, a rescue organization that prepares animal companions for senior citizens while also encouraging the adoption of adult and senior pets. I primarily worked to feed, clean up after, and socialize the cats. During winter and summer breaks in high school and college, I frequently cared for various neighbors' pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and fish. Since graduating, I have had numerous regular dog walking and cat sitting gigs, some of which have included house sitting and the administration of daily medications. I have a free and flexible schedule. As long as I can fit a visit around my other clients and my occasional personal engagements, I should be capable of accommodating your pet at any time of day. I will care for your pet within your home according to your instructions, so I can help give your pet a sense of normalcy and routine while you're away. I make sure to dedicate some time to play and affection outside of the requisite feeding, cleaning, and medication to provide your pet with further comfort. I completely understand that everyone's pets have odd quirks and preferences, and I would be happy to accommodate any strange rituals your pet prefers.
“Samantha did a great job. She was on time, played with the girls and ensured they were happy while we were gone. We got good photos and she kept us up to date on them. We really appreciate what she did and her willingness to come to the house and let the girls out for us. Great job Samantha!”

“If I could do a 10* I absolutely would. She took such great care of our boys and sent us the most adorable photos while we were gone. Alleviated all sense of worry I had before. Thank you for going above and beyond I appreciate it so much!”

“Alex, It was so nice to know someone who like’s to spend time with dogs was checking on ours. I am hoping you are interested in helping us out again. I don’t know the dates yet but will be for a weekend in Oct. I will get back to you. I am also trying to figure out how to send you a tip. I am not so good at this tech stuff. Thanks again, Tina”

“Having a 19 year old cat, we did not want to leave her with just anyone while we were anyway. Daniel was willing to come by for a meet and greet to make sure he was a good match. He was excellent to work with for set up and came by on schedule and spent time feeding and providing company in our absence. Daniel provided pictures for each visit which was comforting. If you are looking for someone who is dependable and friendly with your pet, he is your person.”

“Isabella took wonderful care of our Lab and Pomeranian. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated while we were away. She was also able to help us on short notice, which we were incredibly grateful for. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We would definitely book with her again! 🐾”

“Zach was great! He attended to every detail that we discussed. Our two cats were very happy, I could tell by all of the pictures that he sent. One of our cats is very shy and I told him that he may not see her. I was wrong. He sent us two pictures of her poking her head out and the third picture was her enjoying some pets and scratches. Our other cat had a great time playing and also getting pets and scratches. I’m a happy kitty mom! We will definitely book with Zach again😊”

“Danielle was amazing with our 1 yo Aussie. She made time for a meet and greet, and spent quality time with Roux during the visit. Will definitely be booking her again!”

“Maddy watched our two dogs and cat for us while we were out of town, and she was wonderful. Our pets loved her and she gave them lots of attention. She provided great feedback after each visit. We’d love to have her watch our crew again!”

“Kelly is an amazing pet sitter. She is completely dependable, extremely knowledgeable, and gave our fur baby lots of love. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

About: Pets are like family to me! I do not have any formal pet care experience on Rover, but I have been helping take care of animals my whole life. My family has cared for several pets and I have pet sat several times for friends and other family members. I care deeply about the individual needs of every animal and want them to feel safe, respected, and have a fun time while in my care. I can provide hourly photo updates of your pet to keep you updated on the activities we are doing together! I have a pretty flexible schedule that may slightly vary depending on other weekly priorities. Feel free to reach out with any time and day and I can get back to you with my availability! I can adhere to the safety of your pets as needed. Pets under my care will be watched closely and client preferences of crating or other needs will be honored.
“Argie was absolutely fantastic with Rus and Mishka, both of whom have separation anxiety from being rescues. She took excellent care of them both, played with them and cleaned up a few naughty messes they made — even taking out the garbage and shampooing the area of carpet! Argies is top notch, loves animals and your pets are in great hands with her.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs of all sizes and have 6 years of experience making sure pets stay happy and healthy while their owners are away. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nokesville. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
