“Isabelle did a great job with my two senior kitties. She paid special attention to the health of one of them who I’m worried about. Made sure they were both eating and getting some extra protein and played with them. She was reliable and very timely, kept to her schedule as discussed and took care of the little pans. Will hire her again!”

“Alex, It was so nice to know someone who like’s to spend time with dogs was checking on ours. I am hoping you are interested in helping us out again. I don’t know the dates yet but will be for a weekend in Oct. I will get back to you. I am also trying to figure out how to send you a tip. I am not so good at this tech stuff. Thanks again, Tina”

“Samantha did a great job. She was on time, played with the girls and ensured they were happy while we were gone. We got good photos and she kept us up to date on them. We really appreciate what she did and her willingness to come to the house and let the girls out for us. Great job Samantha!”

About: From ages 13 to 18, I began regularly volunteering for Paws for Seniors, a rescue organization that prepares animal companions for senior citizens while also encouraging the adoption of adult and senior pets. I primarily worked to feed, clean up after, and socialize the cats. During winter and summer breaks in high school and college, I frequently cared for various neighbors' pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and fish. Since graduating, I have had numerous regular dog walking and cat sitting gigs, some of which have included house sitting and the administration of daily medications. I have a free and flexible schedule. As long as I can fit a visit around my other clients and my occasional personal engagements, I should be capable of accommodating your pet at any time of day. I will care for your pet within your home according to your instructions, so I can help give your pet a sense of normalcy and routine while you're away. I make sure to dedicate some time to play and affection outside of the requisite feeding, cleaning, and medication to provide your pet with further comfort. I completely understand that everyone's pets have odd quirks and preferences, and I would be happy to accommodate any strange rituals your pet prefers.

About: My background in Biology and lifelong experience with dogs reflect my deep love for animals. I’m committed to giving every pet patient, loving and dependable care. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to easily adapt to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication or simply providing companionship, I can make pet care a priority throughout the day. Your dog will be treated like part of the family. We have a small fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time, but we also take dogs on regular potty breaks and walks throughout the day to make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention and care.
“Isabel was a life-saver! We booked very last minute, but she took great care of our pups while we were out of town. She followed our instructions perfectly and the dogs seemed very happy with her. Highly recommend!!”

“Kelly is amazing. She is so detailed and thorough with her care of our kitties and we excitedly anticipate her report cards after every visit! Thank you for being so sweet and attentive to the individual needs of our Percival and Giovanni 💛”

“Having a 19 year old cat, we did not want to leave her with just anyone while we were anyway. Daniel was willing to come by for a meet and greet to make sure he was a good match. He was excellent to work with for set up and came by on schedule and spent time feeding and providing company in our absence. Daniel provided pictures for each visit which was comforting. If you are looking for someone who is dependable and friendly with your pet, he is your person.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs of all sizes and have 6 years of experience making sure pets stay happy and healthy while their owners are away. I have a ton of energy for long walks, park trips, and playing fetch for high-energy dogs, but I also can be calm and relaxed for senior dogs. Because I study at home, my schedule is very flexible, which is perfect for house-sitting! I can spend the majority of my day at your home, ensuring your pet is never left alone for long periods. I’m available for overnight stays during the week and on weekends, and I make it a priority to stick to your pet's specific walking and feeding routine so their day feels totally normal while you're away. I take the responsibility of staying in your home very seriously. I am extremely diligent about home security—always double-checking that doors and windows are locked and that your pet is secure before I step out. I pride myself on leaving your home exactly as I found it (or cleaner!). I’m also a very frequent communicator; I love sending daily photo updates and quick 'check-ins' so you never have to wonder how things are going.
“Fariah was so great! She took great care of our dog, was always on time and made sure our dog was let out, fed and loved. Will definitely be having Fariah take care of our dog next time!”
“11/10. This was our third time booking Argelia to take care of our beloved Bear, and she nailed it as always. Her updates about Bear's sassiness had me lmao (and were totally on brand for my cat). I had a really relaxing Christmas with my family since I could trust that my kitty was well cared for.”

Stephanie was great! She made sure our cat, Ivy, was well taken care of when we were gone and even went the extra mile to water our plants. Ivy is a bit shy with strangers and she seemed to really like Stephanie. I appreciated all of the photos and updates! We will definitely reach out to Stephanie again when we plan our next trip.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Linton Hall. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
