“Alex, It was so nice to know someone who like’s to spend time with dogs was checking on ours. I am hoping you are interested in helping us out again. I don’t know the dates yet but will be for a weekend in Oct. I will get back to you. I am also trying to figure out how to send you a tip. I am not so good at this tech stuff. Thanks again, Tina”

“Argelia went over and above for my babies. The AC on my apartment went out while I was on vacation and she took great care of them. She even offered to board them if need be. She also came an extra visit extra one afternoon just to make sure they were OK, my kitten really really likes her. My older cat is more shy and I think lived under the bed for the entire week, but I know they were both well taken care of. I will continue to use her in the future and recommend her to all of my friends and family .”

“Isabella took wonderful care of our Lab and Pomeranian. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated while we were away. She was also able to help us on short notice, which we were incredibly grateful for. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We would definitely book with her again! 🐾”

“Samantha did a great job. She was on time, played with the girls and ensured they were happy while we were gone. We got good photos and she kept us up to date on them. We really appreciate what she did and her willingness to come to the house and let the girls out for us. Great job Samantha!”

“Stephanie was great. It was the first time we had a drop in visit for our cat. She was very responsive with pictures and sending an update about any questions we had while we were away from our cat. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Isabel was a life-saver! We booked very last minute, but she took great care of our pups while we were out of town. She followed our instructions perfectly and the dogs seemed very happy with her. Highly recommend!!”

“Kelly was a breath of fresh air after having a not so pleasant previous cat sitting experience. I knew she would be a good fit for my 2 kitty babies due to her past work in the veterinarian field, as well as being a pet owner of 2 cats herself. Other positive reviews on Rover also helped with my decision! Her professionalism, attention to detail, and calming presence are one of a kind, helping to make even the most fiery or shy felines, like mine, feel safe. It it amazing to know I can truly count on her to take care of my pet family worry free while I'm away!”

“Having a 19 year old cat, we did not want to leave her with just anyone while we were anyway. Daniel was willing to come by for a meet and greet to make sure he was a good match. He was excellent to work with for set up and came by on schedule and spent time feeding and providing company in our absence. Daniel provided pictures for each visit which was comforting. If you are looking for someone who is dependable and friendly with your pet, he is your person.”

About: Hello, my name is Bella and I have been working with pets for about 4-5 years now. I do have a cat of my own and his name is Creed :) so I specialize in working with cats but I really only grew up with dogs and recently have been pet sitting dogs more often. I really hope that I will get a chance to meet you and your amazing pet! And trust me I totally understand that pets are family so I will treat them as such. I'm also happy to clean them if needed, my close family friend is a groomer and she showed me the basics of really cleaning a dog and cat. Anyways, thank you so much and I cant wait to care for your pet!
About: I grew up in a pet loving home, where at any given time we had at least two cats and one dog living under our roof. As young as 12 years old, I was entrusted by neighbors to pet sit, and I took part in caring for and training my own family pets. I now have 4 cats and a dog of my own, and I promise to love and care for your fur babies as I would for my own. I’m currently working part time as a dog groomer, however my schedule is very unstructured, so it changes from week to week. Usually however, I’m only working 2-3 days a week, which leaves my schedule wide open to spend my days with your fur babies! I am unable to care for any additional animals in my own home, however I would be more than happy to watch your babies in your home! I would ensure your home was treated with respect and would do my part in keeping it clean. I’d be able to crate your pups if desired, as well as clean litter boxes, as well as any other care-taking tasks required.
About: Ive been a zookeeper taking care of exotic animal species since 2008 in various settings and animal species. From babies to seniors I know how individualized care and attention can be. I have also volunteered and worked at horse stables and animal sanctuaries. I'd your trying to find someone that can and likes taking care of animals, I'm your gal! Ive also petsat for various friends and family since they knew how well I am able to do such jobs, and I do them well with compassion and care. Plus, its fun! I work a full time job and can be available for afternoon services and overnight stays as well. While taking care of your furry friend I will be dedicated and present in the moment to make sure everything needed and requested gets done. I believe that pets are family members and deserve the attention and love anyone else would recieve. I provide objective observation and practical skills needed to cater for your pet.
“Sarahí took care so well of our little Ramon! She was very attentive in her drop-in visits always keeping us posted of our puppies progress as he is very young. Ramon got used to her very quickly and my husband feel extremely comfortable and happy with her disposition! Thank you for your outstanding care Sarahi ?”

Stephanie was great! She made sure our cat, Ivy, was well taken care of when we were gone and even went the extra mile to water our plants. Ivy is a bit shy with strangers and she seemed to really like Stephanie. I appreciated all of the photos and updates! We will definitely reach out to Stephanie again when we plan our next trip.

Argie always takes such great care with my kitty, who can be a bit impatient and moody at times, but Argie knows how to deal with my kitty's moods. She obviously loves animals and treats them like her own. I know that Argie misses my kitty during times when we are not away, so perhaps I need to schedule some 'play time' when we are home! Argie, thanks again for everything!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 6,543 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Zouave Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zouave Hills. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
