I’m taking a break from my child care career and would love to start working with animals again. Currently I’m a ‘stay-at-home-mom’ taking care of my own child and fur baby. Your pups will rarely be alone. Therefore very flexible, as far as scheduling is concerned, and eager to care for your furry family members.

Safety, trust & environment
First off, no dog is too big or too small! I currently offer drop-ins, dog walking, doggy daycare and boarding. I am experienced with administering oral medication or providing care/medical assistance to your pet, if needed. I’m happy to play, feed, bathe, train, walks and just love on your fur baby. I treat all animals as if they are my children and give them all of the love and attention possible. We live in a single family home with a fenced in yard. Your fur baby can be part of our family or completely separate in their own environment if they don’t feel comfortable around other dogs and/or children. We have an in-law suite with a complete separate entrance to the fenced in yard. I’ll treat your dog as if he/she was my own! They’re allowed on the two couches as well if the owner allows it, I don’t want to start a habit. We just want your pup to feel at home.

Information Stephanie B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavior that I can account for (marking, potty trained, female in heat, food allergies etc.). I can only accept dogs with non aggressive temperament. Up-to-date vaccines is a must. I’d like to see the vaccination records during the meet and greet if possible. I personally just like to be as prepared as possible so everyone will be safe and happy.
A typical day
I love taking them out on walks through your/our neighborhood and/or nearby nature trails. I’ll play fetch, teach new games like sniffing games for mental stimulation and other enrichments games (for example Frozen Kongs or Lick Mats). We have a fenced in yard where they can let their energy out as well. I’m aware of resource guarding between dogs therefore I’d only provide toys in a safe setting and feeding in separate areas.

Pet care experience
I’ve always had a passion for dogs and cats and learned to be responsible with them from a young age. I grew up with a Bernese Mountain dog, a Cavalier King Charles and a cat. After moving from Germany, in my teenage years, I have been petsitting various breeds in addition to my (then) full-time position as a nanny for infants. My husband and I currently have a 3 year-old yellow Lab named Kodi. My passion for dogs grew even stronger with him. We started basic training with him at the age of 9 weeks old and he’s become such a joy to work with. I have also participated in multiple obedience classes and have gained basic training knowledge that I’m happy to share if interested. I’m experienced in caring for senior dogs/cats and disabled pets. My dog Kodi unfortunately had to get bilateral TPLO surgeries (torn CCL) on his legs at a year old. The recovery was brutal and took over 6 months for each leg but now, 2 years later you couldn’t even tell he had this major surgery done. Therefore I’m very much experienced in caring for dogs with special needs.
Reviews

Jackson, my eight-month-old rockstar/Lab pup, had a great time with Stephanie and her family. You can tell that she takes great care of the dogs she is charged with and truly enjoys her work. Starting soon after drop-off, she kept in touch with frequent photos, videos, and texts letting me know how my guy was settling in and adapting to this new environment. Her yard, and home, is secure and clean, and her own dog kept Jackson from being lonely during his first solo adventure. I was, at first, hesitant to schedule a boarding with someone that we didn’t know beforehand, but Stephanie made us immediately comfortable, which made the decision a no-brainer. If you are looking for a conscientious, professional, and capable person to watch over your four-legged friend, look no further; you have found your sitter.

Stephanie was very communicative, thoughtful, and caring with Charlie during his stay. She provided regular updates, was patient while he adjusted to a new environment, and clearly put a lot of effort into making sure he was comfortable. I especially appreciated her honesty and proactive communication throughout the weekend. It was clear she genuinely cared about his well-being and wanted the best experience for Charlie. Thank you again for taking good care of him!

Easiest decision ever made to board archer again with Stephanie! The moment we turned into her neighborhood he knew where we were going and couldn’t get out of the car fast enough. He always has a good time here!

Another awesome experience with Stephanie, this will become Homers home away from home!
