“First walk with Janna today. The girls just love her! Janna is go good with them and they clearly feel calm and comfortable with her. We know the girls are in great hands. We feel so lucky to have found her.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs of all sizes and have 6 years of experience making sure pets stay happy and healthy while their owners are away. I have a ton of energy for long walks, park trips, and playing fetch for high-energy dogs, but I also can be calm and relaxed for senior dogs. Because I study at home, my schedule is very flexible, which is perfect for house-sitting! I can spend the majority of my day at your home, ensuring your pet is never left alone for long periods. I’m available for overnight stays during the week and on weekends, and I make it a priority to stick to your pet's specific walking and feeding routine so their day feels totally normal while you're away. I take the responsibility of staying in your home very seriously. I am extremely diligent about home security—always double-checking that doors and windows are locked and that your pet is secure before I step out. I pride myself on leaving your home exactly as I found it (or cleaner!). I’m also a very frequent communicator; I love sending daily photo updates and quick 'check-ins' so you never have to wonder how things are going.
“Sarahi was incredible with my dog Eisley. My dog was immediately comfortable with her and was excited for walk time everyday. Would absolutely book her again and the only reason she is not helping any longer is because I am moving.”

“Argelia is amazing! She takes good care of my dog, provides great exercise and updates every bit of the way. She’s flexible, communicative and professional. Grateful to have her as a walker and know that my dog is safe/in good hands with her at all times.”

“Alexandra is friendly and knowledgeable about dog walking/care and was flexible in taking care of Winston on short notice. Alexandra was timely in her visits, provided full details on her visit including photos. We would recommend Alexandra to others and will use Alexandra in the future. Thanks Alexandra.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and currently my family has a golden retriever since 2019 and helped train and take care of him all these years. I genuinely love dogs and think they should be treated well and taken care of and given love as they always give us love and affection. I work full time at a restaurant but always mornings so the second half of my day is pretty available and flexible to do walks. House visits on days I work may be hard because I have to leave for work very early but it just depends on the circumstances. I’m willing to be open and flexible about such things. I rent out of my family’s house so I will not be offering that kind of care in my own home only in the clients.
“Extremely great experience. Our dog is always excited and happy when Siria arrives for a walk. Very professional at all times and takes care our dog extremely well! Highly recommend!!”

“Daniel was fantastic with Jack! He was always on time and super reliable during the two weeks I was away. With Glenn working 6/10 shifts, Dan’s daily walks gave Jack a much-needed break and helped us out a lot. We’re really grateful for the care and consistency— we’ll definitely be using him again. Highly recommend!”

I am able to provide an environment for doggy play dates in my backyard that is 5 acres fully fenced. I am also able to board dogs, if needed. About: Cat sat my sisters 2 cats for several weeks throughout the past 3 years. i treat them as if they are my own, and will do so for your pets as well. I’m currently home from the summer from college! I do not have any prior commitments, so taking care of your fur-babies will be my top priority I have experience taking care of two cats, both with very different personalities. one is very social and friendly, while the other one is extremely anxious. I have gotten used to managing both of these styles.
“I was very nervous leaving my puppy alone after 6 months of furlough. Elmer took the time to get to know her and gives her the attention she needs. I am gone for a large part of the day. When I come home she is happy and the house is in one piece.”

About: I grew up with dogs and helped train one from puppyhood, gaining hands-on experience with obedience and daily care. I also regularly dog sat for my neighbors, building trust with both pets and their owners. While I’m currently in college and don’t have a dog of my own, I stay active by volunteering at a local animal shelter, working with dogs of different breeds and temperaments. I have very open availability over the summer and can be flexible to meet your dog’s needs. I do occasionally spend time with family about an hour away, but I always plan ahead to ensure I’m fully available and committed to any bookings. I have a fenced-in yard and two friendly dogs, providing a safe and social environment for visiting pets. Dogs in my care get plenty of outdoor time, play, and supervision
About: I have owned dogs of all sizes all my life. I grew up with German Shepherds as well as Maltese dogs and learned how to take care of different breeds since I was a kid. I currently have a Dachshund whom I take for daily walks to the park every day for 30-60 minutes depending on the weather, I had my dachshund since he was 10 weeks young so I have experience with puppies so I am comfortable with dogs of all ages. I also had the chance to take in an older dog until her last days so all of these experiences have made me comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities. I have a flexible work schedule so I plan my dog's walks and routine around this. It's so important for him and any dog to have a comfortable life since they depend on us to enjoy their lives. I have a fenced yard in my home and I'm often making sure my dog or any dog goes potty when they need to and not wait for them necessarily to ask me.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Nokesville
I have been using Bobby to walk and take care of my large dog (95lbs) for several weeks now. He does a great job and really helps get the energy out for Theo. Bobby’s also been very helpful in following Theos routine and preventative allergy issues. I plan to continue to use Bobby to care for and walk my dog in the days when I have long working hours.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
