I was very nervous leaving my puppy alone after 6 months of furlough. Elmer took the time to get to know her and gives her the attention she needs. I am gone for a large part of the day. When I come home she is happy and the house is in one piece.

About: I grew up with dogs and helped train one from puppyhood, gaining hands-on experience with obedience and daily care. I also regularly dog sat for my neighbors, building trust with both pets and their owners. While I’m currently in college and don’t have a dog of my own, I stay active by volunteering at a local animal shelter, working with dogs of different breeds and temperaments. I have very open availability over the summer and can be flexible to meet your dog’s needs. I do occasionally spend time with family about an hour away, but I always plan ahead to ensure I’m fully available and committed to any bookings. I have a fenced-in yard and two friendly dogs, providing a safe and social environment for visiting pets. Dogs in my care get plenty of outdoor time, play, and supervision

About: Even though I don’t have professional pet experience I own 2 dogs who I walk frequently and have pet sitter for dogs in the past. I also am a very responsible and dependable person and will make sure your dog or dogs are safe and happy. I walk my dogs twice a day and I feed them in the early morning and nighttime. I also play with my dogs throughout the day and give them enrichment toys or things to play with when we leave to go out so they are happy. I am not a pet sitter. I am not a pet sitter. About: Our family has just recently lost our dog of 14 years and now we want to give the love we have to yours. Our baby was a very high maintenance dog and it has prepared us for a wide range of care. I work from home, I am here 24/7 and on the rare chance I am not, my two parents are. They also have 14 years of experience and we have no other pets to occupy our time Pet care is not a one size fits all situation. Our care will be tailored to each of your babies based on the information shared with us.

About: I’ve dog sat for one couple, with other little jobs throughout, consistently. I would prefer no senior dogs. My family has a 65lbs Blue Heeler. I’m currently in community college so I am home year round for the most part. I do dog sit for a couple but I just go and let their dog outside for 30 minutes daily. About: I am a very active college student athlete here at Texas A&M Corpus-Christi. Growing up I’ve always had animals at home (I have 4 dogs at home, as well as lots of farm animals & cats). I also have one pup of my own here with me at college. I would love to care for your pets, make sure they are well loved, and get lots of exercise! I would love to go on runs/long walks with your pups, and care for their every need. I am a student athlete, but I have a very flexible weekly schedule! I have a high energy dog myself and make sure that she gets lots of exercise & mental stimulation throughout my schedule. My flexible schedule makes it possible to be open to adding your pup into my schedule, and also making sure they are well taken care of! I have one friendly pup who loves all dogs & loves to play and keep your pets comfortable & welcomed. I would love to care & give lots of cuddles to your fur babies.

My family and I live in a single-family home in Nokesville, VA with a large fenced backyard for plenty of safe playtime. Daily routines typically include: Morning and evening feedings Playtime and interaction throughout the day Evening walks Our home includes safety partitions and a large fenced yard to provide a safe and comfortable environment for dogs of all ages, including senior pets. Additional Notes I occasionally volunteer at my children’s schools and may be away for a few hours at a time during weekdays. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. We care for your pet as closely as possible to their normal schedule. Please provide a "cheat sheet" for me of potty times and snack breaks. Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Catlett. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Catlett.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Catlett. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
