“Amanda was amazing! She spent time with our girls and was communicative and prompt. She was flexible and helped us modify our booking when we had to cut our trip short due to illness. We absolutely would book again with Amanda for future needs!”

“Allie was so attentive and wonderful to my cat who needs special medication! She went above and beyond to learn the administration of it and was able give me prompt updates as well! Always an easy feeling when I book her to watch my cat!”

“Fern is awesome. I work shift work so I can be gone 24-48 hours at a time. She has been there last minute for my two German shepherds. Communicates clearly and my dogs love spending time with her. She’s awesome!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life. In the last few years I've boarded over 30 dogs at the house. I've completed over 250 services on wag with dogs, cats, and a pig while maintaining a perfect 5.0 rating. References available upon request. Pet care is my full time job. Dogs will have free range around the house and I'm with them 100% of the time unless I have to go walk another dog. My house has a dog door attached to a fenced backyard which the dogs have full access to throughout the day. They're also allowed on the furniture and bed. We have a nice trail by the house which my dog and I walk about 5 miles a day on.
“Meah is a phenomenal pet sitter. Not only is she professional. She is extremly attentive and communicates well. Even when weather was bad (snow and ice) she made every effort to ensure she stayed on schedule (which she did). I would recommend Meah to anyone and I will use her again if she is available.”

“Alexandra was amazing with our very nervous dog. She went above and beyond ensuring he felt comfortable and well taken care of. It was fantastic getting updates every drop in with how he was doing and pictures. I would recommend her whole heartedly for anyone with nervous or medically complex animals. I can’t stress enough how wonderful she was for our dog and us.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the depth and variety of my experience with animals of all sizes and personalities. I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for everything from playful puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. Beyond pet sitting for multiple families outside of Rover, I also own a horse and have been involved with horses for over a decade. Working with such large, sensitive animals has taught me responsibility, calm leadership, and how to build trust with even the most cautious pets. Because of this, I’m comfortable and confident handling animals of all sizes, from the tiniest kitten to the largest dog. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and specific needs, and I take pride in tailoring my care to each individual animal. Whether it’s administering gentle care to seniors, reinforcing good manners with puppies, or providing enrichment and exercise to keep pets happy, I approach every situation with patience, respect, and love. At the end of the day, my goal is to create a safe, trusting environment where pets feel comfortable and loved while their owners have peace of mind knowing they’re in capable hands. Pet care fits seamlessly into my flexible college schedule. With lifelong animal experience, I provide safe, loving, and dependable care tailored to each pet’s needs I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment. In your home, I follow routines, respect rules, and provide attentive care. Pets feel secure, loved, and stress-free.
“Brenda was awesome! She took lots of photos and made me feel at ease being away from my sweet girl, Maple. She was very easy to work with and responded quickly. I’m so glad I chose her and knew she would be the right choice! Highly recommend 🤗”

“Kenya was very accommodating with caring for our kitties while they were away and handling their less than stellar potty habits involving pee pads. We appreciate her responsiveness and extra effort!”

“Nadia is amazing. Coco loves her and she is always happy and calm after Nadia’s Visit. She always sends us updates. And she even helped me check if my hair straightener was plugged off.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
