“Jami was a happy accident! I texted her in error and she responded so sweetly that when I looked at her profile I felt like it was meant to be. Our initial texts were easy as was setting up a meet and greet. She was as charming in person and really has an affinity with animals as my dog and cat warmed up to her immediately. Jami did a great job and really made our pets feel like a family member was with them. She texted us daily photos and she alway responded to any comment I would make. When we got home we were so pleased to have happy animals great us and the house looked barely lived in. We highly recommend Jami and hope she is free when we next travel!”

“Camille was very helpful to me and kept me posted about my little fur family. She stayed with my “kids” while I had to be out of town. They did well. She was very responsive. Great job.”

“Deanna did a great job with Millie. She took her on two walks, when no walks were required. She also handled a home intrusion (aka a friend dropping off food), which surely stirred Millie up (and also the fridge was too full for the food). We can't wait to have Deanna back!”

About: When you have 5 kids in the house, we ended up with a lot of different animals! We had everything, giant fish tanks with specialty fish, bunnies, hamsters, snakes, frogs, birds, lizards, of course dogs and cats, and we even fostered an opossum while we waited for the wildlife refuge to come get him. It teaches you a lot of responsibility at a young age and it gave me a lot of compassion for animals too. Pets are a privilege and we're so lucky to have them. I'm finishing up classes and preparing to transfer to Cal Poly for landscape architecture but I'm done for the summer. Back to serving and time to make some extra money! In my home my cats have a strict feeding schedule and a variety of feeding needs. One only gets wet food and dry food makes her sick, one will eat until he pops and the other free feeds with a microchip activated food bowl to protect from the previously mentioned fatty. I understand the complications that come with having pets, especially multiple pets, and I have all the love and patience in the world to give.

“Paul took care of my dog and cat and went above an beyond. I never had to worry if someone was letting them out and feeding them. I got updates on what they were doing on a regular basis and they went on lots of walks.”

“I cannot recommend Makani enough! She is a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter. We are so grateful to have found her on Rover. She took wonderful care of our two dogs in our home, providing regular updates and photos while also being respectful of our space. It’s clear she is a true animal lover, and having her care for our pups gave us complete peace of mind so we could fully enjoy our time with family and friends. We will absolutely be booking with her again—thank you so much, Makani, for everything!”

“Delanie took care of my pup while we attended a wedding and reception in a town far from home. I found her in this town and thank goodness!! I did not have to worry about my pup! After our first meeting Taco took to her right away. I did not have to worry after that. She sent me a couple of pictures that made me feel at ease. When we came back from the wedding my pup did not act like I have been gone. He was super calm not excited like when I return from the store. To me it says he was less stressed out. I feel he had a great time with Delanie,l. She took great care of him! I highly recommend her! If I come back and need her service I will not hesitate to book her again.”

About: Hi! I’m Lauren — a lifelong animal lover with decades of hands-on pet care experience. I grew up in a home that always had dogs (usually three!), and I started dog-sitting back in college in the early 2000s. One of my favorite long-term clients had a huge white German Shepherd who growled at everyone. By evening on day one, he was upside down in my lap, getting a belly rub! I had two beloved dogs of my own for 15 years, and now that I have two young kids (and no current pets), I’m looking to share my love with your furry (or scaly!) family member. Whether it’s walks, belly rubs, or snuggle time, I’ll treat your pet like my own. Dogs, cats, snakes, bunnies — you name it, I love them all. 💛 If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about animals, I’d love to help care for your pet while you’re away! I only work a few hours in the morning (9-12), so my schedule is pretty flexible — I can often accommodate daytime, evening, or even last-minute pet care needs. I’m currently available for daytime, evening, and weekend bookings. I believe pets feel most comfortable in their own home, so I’m happy to care for your dog or cat in their familiar space while you’re away. That said, if you'd prefer your pet stays with me, I do have a safe, fenced-in front yard that's great for larger dogs to get some playtime and fresh air. Inside, your pet will be treated like part of the family — couches are fair game (as long as you’re cool with it!), and my whole family will be happy to shower your pet with love, snuggles, and attention.

About: "I have always been a passionate lover of dogs, cats, and farm animals, growing up surrounded by these wonderful creatures. My connection with them runs deep; I understand their needs and emotions, allowing me to provide the care and attention they deserve. The unconditional love and companionship they offer inspire me to ensure that every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable in my presence." I am available for pet care M-F early in the morning and after 4 o'clock in the evening. Weekends there is more flexibility. If I am housesitting for you, I can provide care throughout the day since I work remotely from home. I can care for your pet in your home, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while you are away. I am available throughout the day to accommodate their needs, as I work remotely and can be present to give them the attention they deserve.

About: I’ve cared for my own dogs and cats for over 30 years and have also fostered kittens for the animal shelter that I later adopted. I am a substitute teacher during the regular school year and am otherwise a DoorDash driver. I would work my schedule around what you need. My cats stay indoors and my 2 dogs love hanging out on our front enclosed porch or lounging inside. They all get along quite well.

About: I have had experience with a wide range of animals—not just dogs! I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for my family and friends for years, caring for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs☺️. I’ve also taken care of chickens, hamsters, and even fish, so I’m confident and comfortable with all kinds of routines and needs. Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, medication, or just making sure your pet feels safe and loved, I treat every animal like they’re my own.❤️ I’m currently working on my General Education classes so I can be available for your pets whenever 🥰 (it gives me a very flexible schedule) . I love having animals around during study breaks! It keeps my energy up and makes my day better. Since I’m already used to watching my family’s and friends’ pets regularly, it’s something that naturally fits into my life and brings me joy. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I stick to their regular routines as closely as possible! I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs, whether it is high-energy pups who love to play to shy or older animals who need a calm and gentle approach. If I am staying at a clients home , I always respect their space, keep things clean , and send photos and updates so you can see your animal!

“My dog Zia is very shy when first meeting people. Zia barked a little bit shortly after she warmed up to Josseline. She is great and kind. I would definitely ask her to come watch our fur baby again.”

I helped raise two family dogs growing up, and now I walk my mom’s dog and my mother-in-law’s dogs every morning. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your dog needs exercise, attention, or a little extra TLC, I’ll make sure they feel happy and safe while you’re away. I currently work part-time in the evenings, which gives me plenty of availability for pet care. I’m free all day Monday and Tuesday, early mornings every day, and evenings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I focus on making sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable whether I’m in their home or mine. I follow each pet’s routine closely—whether that’s feeding, playtime, walks, or downtime, and I take time to earn their trust through patience and positive interaction. I’m also attentive to their environment, making sure food and water are fresh, litter boxes or potty areas are clean, and their emotional needs are met through companionship and enrichment. I believe pets thrive when they’re not just cared for, but genuinely connected with.
