“I had less than a week notice before I had to leave for a 5 week long training but thankfully Tarah was able to commit to house sitting/watching my 3 cats while I was away. One of my cats has bad separation anxiety and needs a lot of love and care. She sent me nuanced updates related to house issues and observations about the kitties. She is very observant and detailed in her assessments on their daily behaviors. It’s evident she has a lot of knowledge about how to keep cats relaxed and happy and as VERY anxious cat mom I’m happy to report I was not worried at all about their care while being away for so long. About: I have been a pet care giver for 24 dogs, 6 cats, some fish and farm animals. I have always grown up around many animals wether its little dogs, big dogs, cats, pigs, goats and bunnies! I absolutely love all animals, especially the big ones. I have done pet sitting, walking and administering medication for 5 years for animals other than my own. I work part-time, a few hours 3 days a week. My schedule is very flexible and I have plenty of availability for your furry friends. The day's I work I am home by 1-2pm and I have the weekends off to spend time with your animals. I have a fenced in acre for your pets to roam and enjoy. There is lots of turf, dirt and shade for our furry friends to run, play and rest. I have a friendly 3 year old golden doodle who loves to play and keep other furry friends company. About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. Time and again, it's proven to be the best way I've found to give personalized care to precious pets, and allow owners to truly enjoy their time away. Traveling, exploring new areas, experiencing new food, going to music events, working out/walking, spiritual activities, and creative endeavors have a place in my life because of this balance. Either whether you board your dog in my residence or in your residence, I have a clean and peaceful environment as well as adhering to your pet's schedule strictly to keep them feeling like home and loved. You can rely on me to treat them like family.
