Monique took excellent care of our pup, Emilio. We had a day of tourism at Niagara Falls and Emilio enjoyed spending time with all the pups and Monique. We loved the pictures and Rover Card report. Much appreciated! Will book again when we come back.

Dashi the dog stayed for the day while we played and did touristy stuff. He got quickly in with his gentle host and well prepared home. I got videos of him hanging out to put my mind at ease and he came home wagging and happy. I really appreciated the professionalism.

Charlene was great. We dropped our pup off for 2 consecutive days while we toured the area. When we dropped him off the second day, we had a twinge of jealousy LOL. He ran right to Charlene then to the front door, not even giving us a second look. Can only say good things seeing our dogs reaction to returning.

Nicole was wonderful and sweet. She listened to what we said were Muffins needs and met them and beyond. We greatly appreciated the pictures, they were very reassuring as we had never left Muffin before, she is becoming a world traveler 😉🤗. We would highly recommend Nicole if you’re furry family member tends to be anxious. Thanks so much!!!

We completed a day care visit with Gen prior to booking boarding days to get my dog, Lily comfortable in a new space. Lily seemed happy and very comfortable with Gen and Alex! Her report was very detailed which was really reassuring to know she was paying great attention to Lily throughout the day. Thanks Gen and Alex :)

Lily is happy and well taken care of there, and that’s so important to me. I hope to continue bringing Lily to Richard whenever possible!

Collin is a great dog sitter! When we visited Niagara Falls for vacation, he is nearby for a quick drop off & pickup of our Joy while we went to attractions. He welcomed us in his home to ensure we were all comfortable with the arrangement. He took Joy on walks and played catch at the dog park. He is reliable and caring. His dog, Coco, was also sweet & playful with Joy. Thanks Collin!

We were visiting Niagara Falls with our dog, Ruby, and wanted a safe/fun place for her to stay while we explored the area. Holly was great! She sent updates throughout the day (which gave me peace of mind), and Ruby loved playing with her two dogs. The fenced yard was a big plus. Everything worked out perfectly, and we’d definitely reach out to Holly again if we’re back in the area.

Jamie was amazing with our dog! She kept us updated with photos and messages, which we really appreciated. Our pup is usually very attached and gets anxious when we're not around, but with Jamie she was totally calm and happy! Would definitely make another booking!

About: I had two family dogs growing up for 12 years that we’re calm and easy to take care of, then I got my own dog who was the exact opposite. He had extreme behavioural issues, anxiety, epilepsy, and aggression. Taking care of him really taught me patience, added responsibilities, understanding and a different kind of love and appreciation as a caregiver. I’ve also fostered dogs which has given me experience with different breeds and needs. I now share custody of a 4 year old border collie/golden retriever mix who LOVES other dogs and people. We worked with multiple trainers with him and learned a series of obedience training, off-leash training, and much more knowledge regarding dogs. I work from home and make my own schedule, so I’m available to take care of, play with, and pay attention to your pup always! We have a half fenced yard and a huge park near us to take the pup out easily! We also have a 2.5 storey house with a basement for lots of room to play and wander. I work from home and make my own schedule so I have plenty of time to play with and pay attention to your pup throughout the day! I have a backyard and a front yard for easy bathroom breaks. There’s also a huge park beside my house to run and play at, plus a bunch of trails to go for long walks!

About: I will make sure that your dog feels loved while being away from your care. They will never feel alone because my job is to keep them company and make sure their mind is occupied by going for walks or playing in the backyard. Long story short, your dog will never be bored with me as I will be by their side every second we are together. I have had a dog for 8 years and I treat her like she is my dog child and your dog can expect no different. As for availability, I am pretty flexible and with some notice can be available pretty much anytime I am needed. I hope you trust that I will take good care of your dog child. I am currently working full time from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. I have hour lunches to be able to go home during the work day and my husband is at home all day and is able to care for your pet while I am at work. I like to make sure I take extra good care of a client’s home and that I respect their space as I would want somebody to respect mine. I grew up in a house with a single mother who taught me how to maintain a clean house so I like to do the same when I am staying at someone else’s place. Same goes for their pets. I had my fur baby for more than 10 years between my high school and university years and I loved her more than anything. I want to care for your pets like it is her I am taking care of.

Noelle watched our new puppy, Brew, during the day while my husband and I had to work. She did a fantastic job helping Brew learn about potty training and lessening her separation anxiety. Noelle is knowledgeable and kind and she provided photos and updates throughout the day. She clearly cares about animals and is a professional

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Ryan! He has such a calm, cool energy, and he and his young daughter were so wonderful with Ruby. It made being away so much easier knowing she was in good hands. Since we were heading over to the local attractions for a few hours, his location being less than 10 minutes away was super convenient. He even sent photos and videos while we were out, and I loved how they just followed Ruby's lead and let her warm up to them at her own pace. Ryan is responsive, affordable, and just an amazing sitter all around—definitely reach out to him if you ever need daycare or boarding in the area!

Genevieve gave me excellent feedback about Chloe's visit. Chloe is rarely anywhere without me but I feel very comfortable leaving her with Genevieve and Alex. It was her second time there and they accommodated her joy of being outside and walking and sniffing the neighborhood. I highly recommend Genevieve as a caregiver for your dog. As of September 2026, there are 200 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Niagara Falls. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Niagara Falls commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 200 sitters in Niagara Falls, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
