Highly recommended! Stephen took care of my puppy for 5 days and it was excellent. He was very attentive and affectionate, and the fact that he sent me photos kept me at ease the whole time. I am also very grateful to his daughters, as they took care of him and played with him throughout the stay. I am so happy with their dedication and the great care provided. I will definitely count on them again!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my dedication to providing personalized care for each dog. I have extensive experience in training puppies, ensuring they develop good habits early on. Additionally, I specialize in senior dog care, offering gentle and attentive support for older pets. My approach is all about understanding each dog's unique needs and making sure they feel coming and loved while you're away. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. I make sure to set aside time every day for feeding, walking, and playing with my furry friends. It's essential to me to prioritize their well-being and happiness, so I always make sure they get the attention and care they need. Whether it's a quick walk in the morning or some playtime in the evening, I love being there for them and making sure they feel loved and cared for. When I'm caring for pets in my own home, I make sure to create a safe and comfy environment. I have designated spaces for them to sleep, play, and eat. I keep a close eye on them and make sure they get plenty of exercise and love. At a client's home, I stick to the pet's regular routine as much as possible. I follow any specific instructions the owner gives me to make sure their pet feels comfortable and secure. Whether it's feeding schedules, medication, or favorite toys, I make sure to keep everything consistent so the pet feels right at home.

Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I am already used to being responsible, organized, and consistent with my time. I make sure pets receive dependable care, attention, walks, feeding, medication if needed, and companionship without feeling rushed. I understand that animals do best with routine, so I work hard to follow each owner’s instructions and keep their pet’s schedule as normal and comfortable as possible. About: I love dogs and have one of my own, Penny! I have trained her since I got her as a puppy. I also love to go on walk and get to know new dogs! I’d love to take care of your fur baby in any way you need! I’m a professional basketball players who plays overseas, but I’m back in America training for my upcoming season starting in September. I’m looking to save up some money for moving costs back to Europe and training while in the US. I love dogs and cats and I feel like this is the best way for me to help others and be around what makes me happy outside of basketball :) I have a weenie dog, Penny that loves to play with all kinds of dogs. Her best friend is a border collie, who is a lot bigger than her, but she doesn’t see it that way. She also loves cats and has grown up around them. If your pet doesn’t like other dogs she can easily stay at home while I’m tending to your pets. I would do my best to make your pet feel the most comfortable, safe, and cared for!!

About: I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned about my pets to others. Every pet has their own personality I want to get to know them. Pet car fits perfectly into my schedule as I complete college online and am home majority of the day they always have my undivided attention. I have a semi fenced yard but so much for them to run in the back. I have a fur baby of my own who loves to play, he’s gentle and sweet. He treats other dogs with respect and knows to set a boundary if they want to play or not.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals ranging from dogs, cats, chickens, and lizards! We’ve had animals in my own family for as long as i can remember we currently have a dog and chickens and maybe cows soon! I have a personal love for animals! If for some reason my dog Oliver doesn’t get along with your pet I live in a separated part of the house so it will be very easy for me to keep them out of contact. I’m currently working full time but i’m off most saturdays and mondays, and then just whenever else they do not schedule me! I’m very communicative and will work with you as best I can! I care for my own pets with love and care making sure they always have what they need and definitely things they want too lol! In others homes I would show them the same love as my own pets and follow whatever instructions left to a T.

FAQs for Boarding - Newton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

There are 74 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Newton. About 89% of Newton sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
