“Margaret is wonderful! Super communicative and kind. My pup loves her. I used Margaret’s services for a few weeks will I was recovering from an injury. She even came and went on her own when needed if I was on zoom calls”

About: I'm a lifelong pet caregiver with over 10 years of daily, hands-on experience caring for dogs. From childhood, my home included dogs and cats. Caring for them has been part of my everyday life. Not just feeding and exercise, but understanding personalities, routines and individual needs. I'm the pet parent of 3 French Bulldogs whom I've raised from puppyhood. They are now 9 months, 10 years and 11 years old. This has given me extensive experience across all life stages. From energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring daily medications and extra patience and care. Because of this, I'm acutely aware of the unique needs and care of brachycephalic breeds, including breathing sensitivities, temperature regulation appropriate exercise levels and age-related health needs. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, flexibility and plenty of attention throughout the day. I'm available for dog walking, day care, boarding and house sitting. I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, medication schedules, and specific routines. My own dogs require precise care plans, so I fully understand how important it is that your pet's instructions are followed exactly. My dogs are friendly and accustomed to being around other pets. All of my dogs are intact, so I ask that owner's disclose whether their dogs are intact or in heat prior to booking. This allows me to thoughtfully plan and recommend the most appropriate service - such as visits to your home instead of boarding in mine - so everyone remains safe, comfortable and stress free. Pets in my home are welcome on furniture and I aim to make them feel as at ease as possible during their stay. I use careful management and positive handling techniques to ensure harmony when pets share space. I'm always mindful of body language and prioritize their safety and comfort. When your pet is in my care, you can expect regular photo updates and communication from arrival to departure so you always feel informed and reassured. I take pride in being attentive, reliable and genuinely invested in your pet's well-being! I work from home full-time, so my schedule is very flexible. I can take 2-3 breaks during the work day to walk your pet if they are staying with me, or stop by your home for potty and walk breaks. If they are staying with me for day care or boarding, I can meet your pet where they are in terms of potty, walk, and play breaks, as well as forced nap times, if necessary. I have several ways to manage the space in my home between pets, to ensure everyone is safe, comfortable and happy. I have 3 crates, baby gates, several pet beds and endless toys. Our yard has a fenced in area to ensure safe potty breaks.
“TRUST AMBER!! SHE IS THE BEST! Amber was my go-to walker for my pup. She was incredibly respectful of what I was doing for training and routine. My dog absolutely loved going on walks with her. Week after week, Amber gave me and my pupper peace of mind knowing she’d be okay while I was at work. My hectic schedule often made booking days/times for walks difficult but Amber was always flexible and ready to help us! LOOK NO FURTHER! SHE IS WHO YOU WANT TAKING YOUR PUP!”
About: I don't know what life is like without dogs! I have been surrounded with dog love all my life and started taking care of pets about 10 years ago. I have taken care of puppies that were just 8 weeks old, to senior dogs who were 15 years old. I love all dogs big or small! I enjoy the exercise that comes with playing with and walking dogs but I am also a sucker for the cuddles too! I am currently a student, but my class schedule is very open and flexible leaving me with lots of time to care for your doggies! I have the most availability Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am also available Wednesday mornings. I have fostered dogs in my house before but they have to be able to go up stairs and be walked on a leash so I prefer to house sit so the dogs are more comfortable in their own space especially if they are used to a fenced in yard. I am definitely not opposed to having pups come and stay with me but as I previously mentioned I do not have a fenced in yard and they have to either be able to get up/down a flight of stairs or be okay with being carried up/down them.
About: I’m detail-oriented and observant—cats are subtle, and I notice the small things that matter. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, and I’ll flag anything unusual right away. Most importantly, I don’t force interaction. Whether your cat wants playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone reliable to keep their routine steady, I meet them where they are. I have full availability on weekends, which allows for extended visits, longer walks, playtime, and flexible scheduling. During the weekdays, I’m available in the mornings and evenings, making me a great fit for breakfast and dinner feedings, walks, medication schedules, and nighttime check-ins. Because I plan my day intentionally, I’m punctual, dependable, and able to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine—something that helps reduce stress, especially for cats, seniors, and pets who thrive on consistency. I care for pets by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible, whether they’re in my home or in a client’s home. I focus on consistency, safety, and individualized attention so pets stay comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions exactly—feeding schedules, walks, litter or potty routines, medications, and any house rules. I keep the environment clean and calm, make sure pets get appropriate exercise or playtime, and monitor their behavior, appetite, and overall wellbeing. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners know how their pet is doing. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment with plenty of attention, structured play, and rest time. I introduce pets slowly if others are present, separate when needed, and adjust care based on age, energy level, and temperament. Across all services, I prioritize clear communication, attention to detail, and treating every pet as an individual—not a one-size-fits-all routine.
“Stevie-Rae was great! She responded quickly, took great care of my big dog, took pictures/left detailed cards, and even went a little long on some of the walks. Thank you!”

About: I have been a life long dog lover! I’ve helped care for our family dogs since I was young and recently got a dog of my own, Cannoli, who is 1 years old. I truly treat every dog as if it were my own, and make sure to shower them with love so you can assure your pet is loved and cared for while they are with me! I have recently gone through A LOT of dog training with Cannoli and I very respectful to your current routines and rules as this is super important to me and my dog. I am comfortable with all ages, sizes and temperaments. Pictures and an update will be provided after every walk :) I work from home M/W/F and have availability most weekends for dog walking. I am unable to board pets at my place, however, Cannoli (my dog) and I would be open to staying at yours if overnight care is needed. If your dog would like to hangout with us during the day, Cannoli and I would love the company! We do walks in the morning, at lunch and again in the afternoon/evening! Cannoli loves new friends (as do I). I am able to follow rules/guidelines that you already have in place (this is super important for me already)

“Rosie was just the best to my pup. She was super communicative and very helpful while we were out of town. She sent plenty of pictures and made sure my dog had a lot of outside play time. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: I grew up having dogs and cats and love them both. Taking care of them from kitten/puppyhood to the end of their life. This helped me to understand how their needs change with age. During my time living oversees I rescued several street animals and have brought 4 of them back here to the US. In caring for the animals of others while they are away I've learned how to gain their trust as the newcomer. Animals are a total joy. My primary secular work is from home and flexible, so I'm able to accommodate your schedule as needed. Pet care is scheduled regularly throughout my day and week. Since all pets and their owners are individuals I respect the routines already in place to the best of my ability. But I always spend time petting and playing with them rather than just doing the basics.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for seniors, puppies, and everything in between. All breeds are truly welcome — from tiny lap dogs to giant. I’m currently working part-time, so I have lots of time to spoil your pups! 🐾 Just send me a message ahead of time, and we’ll plan the perfect schedule that fits your dog’s routine and personality. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. I live right in the center of town, with easy access to parks, the cliff walk, and plenty of neighborhood routes for walks and adventures. I treat every pet like family, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and comfortable whether they’re visiting my home or staying in their own familiar space.
About: I have taken care of animals since I was a child working on my grandparents farm. My experience ranged from nursing baby sheep, helping sick kittens, trimming dog nails, and even administering medication to horses. My love for animals inspired me to go to school for Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. Since graduating I have taken in a pup of my own, my 3 year old long haired German shepherd - Hazel! I also periodically watch my friends animals as needed when they are away! I am a die hard animal lover and can't wait to meet your fur babies! I currently work from home, and have a very flexible work schedule that allows me to take many breaks throughout the day. This would allow me to complete random drop-in visits as needed! I am typically free on the weekends for walks, or drop-in’s! I am extremely respectful of your home and your belongings, and I respect any rules you have in place for your home and your animals. I am also a very enthusiastic, caring and loving person - If it is acceptable and wanted by you, I would love to take some photos of your fur babies and send them to you during my visit! I love receiving photos of mine while I am away!

About: I have been watching family and friend's dogs for years, and I just rescued my own dog about a year ago. I have experience dog sitting, dog walking, taking care of dog's post-surgery, giving medication and loving dogs like they're my own! I would rather hang out with dogs over humans any day, and that lead me to start caring for other dogs. I If I could, I would have 100 dogs of my own, so caring for other dogs and making sure they're taken care of is a huge priority for me. I am available any time for dog walking or for overnight care at your home or I can bring the dogs to my house. I'm looking forward to meeting many new fur babies!
About: Since 2010 I learned to care for neighborhood pet friends so I could prove that I can have my own dog. From that I got my own baby boy and have spent 12 lovely years with him, but unfortunately he's out of state with his grandparents now. I miss him so much and would love to transfer all that energy to your loved one :) I'm currently working part time, so I have plenty of free time to spend a couple hours with your baby and take them for a nice, long walk and play with them :) whatever they need, I'd love to do! I care about safety, privacy, cleanliness, and trust. I won't go anywhere/use anything unless asked (and I will check with you before doing anything we didn't talk about, such as if I were to bring treats, I'd make sure you are okay with what I give them before giving it to them). I'll probably be over-communicative, just so I'm thorough and so you know you can trust me with your baby.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life and while I do not have a god currently myself, I miss my parents dogs and love seeing them when I go home. I go on long walks each day so would love to find a dog I can take care of. I work from home so can be flexible to let them out during the day and overnights if needed! I work from home, so can be flexible! I generally go for 2 long walks per day: one before work (7am) and one after work at 6pm I live in an apartment, but have plenty of living space to care for your pet! I’ve taken care of plenty of friends dogs in my current place
About: I got my first pet when I was 7 years old and have owned hamsters, mice, cats, and dogs ever since. I have trained my dog to be the gentle, loving, and obedient girl she is today. I believe all dogs are good at heart and, if any animals go to heaven, they do! This summer I am creating my own work schedule, so I am available to care for your pup at whatever time works best for you. If I care for your pet in your home, I would use/tamper with nothing unless you have given me permission. I would be very respectful of you and your privacy. I would meet you beforehand outside of your household to create trust.
Newport East dog parents share their Rover experiences
Alexa is great! She is so sweet and kind. She shows up on time, takes Charlotte a different route every day, and updates with pictures and comments. My dog (corgi) is perfectly exhausted and happy after the 30 minute walk and loves Alexa. I could tell instantly from our meet and greet that we could trust her. Highly recommend!

Margaret has been walking my dog while I’m at work for several months now, and she’s been amazing. She’s reliable, communicative, and has shown my senior dog, Miley, so much patience and grace as she adjusted to my return to the office after years of being home with me. Now Miley looks forward to her daily visits and, let’s be honest, mostly to getting her usual treat afterward! Margaret is completely unfazed by Miley’s occasional spicy attitude and stubborn streak, which I really appreciate. It gives me such peace of mind knowing my dog is in such good hands. I’d absolutely recommend Margaret to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy dog care!

Mackenzie was amazing! She was responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates during her walks with our pup! We even asked to make some last minute changes and gave her feeding instructions which she responded to promptly and followed to-the-letter. We will definitely be booking her again! Thank you so much Mackenzie!

Jessie was fantastic with my pup! She’s clearly a confident and experienced dog walker. She followed my instructions exactly and Daisy enjoyed her time. The communication was on point and she also sent photos and updates. I will definitely be hiring Jessie again!
