About: My first “job” as a kid was walking and letting out my neighbors’ dogs after school. From there, I started working in horse barns, managed a few barns, and then eventually became an equine massage practitioner full time. At the same time, I continued to train, compete with, and enjoy LOTS of hikes with my own personal dog. I worked as an assistant dog trainer for several years at a positive-reinforcement based facility, and gained a wealth of knowledge from the experience. I’ve used positive reinforcement training with dogs, cats, horses, rats, and even birds of prey! I have raised and trained a number of puppies/dogs for friends and family members, and have experience fostering as well. I’ve cared for and/or lived with dogs, cats, birds, rodents, exotic animals, horses, and other farm animals. While I am comfortable with any and all breeds of dogs, I especially love herding breeds! I am self-employed, and generally have a pretty flexible schedule! I am able to accommodate mornings, mid day, or afternoon/evening check-in’s. I have availability weekdays as well as weekends. About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoids the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.

Julia watched our two Maine Coon brothers Marco & Polo for an extended 4 day weekend away. I could tell right away from our meet & greet that our boys took to her immediately and would be excited and happy to see her during her drop-ins. Our boys are friendly already, but even the more aloof and cautions brother, who generally takes a little time to warm up to new faces, treated her as family from day one. She provided check-in and out notifications and detailed status reports - including lots of pictures - of each visit. These are exactly what a caring pet parent wants to see, not only to know your babies are in good hands, but to take the edge off of missing them while you're away :) One of our boys takes medications, and they both need fiber & water added to their diet, so the feeding routine is slightly more complicated than is typical, and Julia had all of their needs met. She responds to any questions/comments immediately. I can't recommend Julia enough for your own babies, and any time we need services in the future, Julia will absolutely be the one we trust to keep our boys happy and healthy.
Courtney was such a big help when we booked with her last minute for drop-ins all week with our two dogs. She made sure the visits were spaced out appropriately, gave the dogs plenty of time to get outside and carry on as normally as possible while we were gone! Will definitely be rebooking with Courtney in the future!
Jenna was an amazing sitter while I was out of town. She was so kind and patient with my shy girl Olive. She kept me updated everyday and made sure Olive’s water fountain was always full and that her litter was clean. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter!
