About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoids the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.

About: Now that I am retired I would love to spend my time helping care for your pets. Whether it is a 2 mile walk or a drop in to throw a ball, my calm nature will help put your mind at ease that your pet is in good hands. I am happy to care for any other animals that you may have as I have owned rabbits, roosters, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. I am retired so my schedule is very flexible and I could be available some Saturdays and Sundays. I am an early riser so am happy to visit your pet as the sun comes up. Though I am not able to have your pet at my home, I am happy to come to your home and care for your pet in their own environment. I am a believer that animals should be happy and having fun.

“Laurie was wonderful! We booked her for a few days worth of drop-in visits with our 1 year old dog Luna (40-lb border collie mix). We've only had Luna for 4 months (rescue) and she is incredibly timid and loud around strangers in the house. We were worried going into the weekend that we might even have to cancel our trip because Luna has been unmanageable by just about everyone we've tried to get to walk her. And even with us, on walks she is easily distracted and will try to chase everything from squirrels to grasshoppers. It can be a challenge for non-family to even get close enough to get a leash on her. Laurie was so kind and patient with Luna, and spent so much time with her to gain her trust. She proved fully capable of leashing Luna and bringing her on long walks. We will definitely be booking Laurie again! (provided she would be willing!)”

My home also features a gated wrap-around deck for supervised outdoor time, play, fresh air, and relaxation in a secure setting. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, reactive, or simply loves adventure, I focus on creating a safe, patient, and positive experience from start to finish.

I have been a dog walker for 4 1/2 years at the NHSPCA and have always been passionate about caring for all animals. My schedule is pretty flexible; I should be able to watch your pets any day of the week. I’m available to care for your furry friend as long as needed. I can walk, feed and play with them. I have taken dogs to my home but I’m currently unavailable to do that at this time. I have a dog of my own who is not good with other animals.
