“Veronica was amazing. Can’t recommend strongly enough. Super attentive to detail, fast friends with our two middle aged cats and even helped out with some odds and ends around the house when she came over. In person meet and greet before we departed made us comfortable that she had all the info she needed from us. We will definitely be seeking her help in the future!”

About: Dogs make my heart happy, and so do cats! :) I loved the times that I got to spend and care for my beloved Moki who went to heaven in Dec. 2023. I miss her every single day. I work as a substitute teacher and painting instructor, which provides me with a flexible schedule to pursue my hobbies and interests. One of my passions in life is dogs. I volunteer with Pets in Need by participating in their Doggy Day Out program. Back in high school, I was voted Most Dependable, and I believe I still hold that title dear to heart whether it's with family, work, friends, and clients. I would do my best to make sure your furry best friend gets lots of pets, play, and potty breaks. :) My schedule is pretty flexible since I work as a substitute teacher and painting instructor. I can easily block off dates so that I can be available. In the summer time, I also work as a summer camp art counselor. I have updated my schedule with the dates that I’m available. :) I know what it's like to have someone reliable and trustworthy to care for your furry best friend. I know that you can depend on me because I will love and care for your pet as if she/he's my own.
About: Independently managed the care of pets for family and friends for 11 years, including feeding schedules, walks, and grooming routines. Willing to talk more about the care of your fur baby, if there are any concerns. I care for two birds (a Sun Conure and a Green-Cheek Conure) and two dogs (a Chocolate Lab and a Shih Tzu), which means I start my day early to handle their needs. This includes changing bedding, providing scheduled meals, grooming, and engaging them in regular playtime. Whether caring for pets in my own home or a client’s, I prioritize consistency, safety, and individual attention. In my home, I create a structured, pet-friendly environment, while in clients’ homes, I stick closely to their routines and preferences. My goal is to keep pets comfortable, happy, and well-cared for in any setting.
“Emily took great care of our cat for our first trip away from home for far too long. From the first moment she met with us, Emily’s professionalism and clear love for cats put us at ease, and our cat was happy and healthy when we returned. We will absolutely ask for Emily again.”

About: I’m a proud dog owner and lifelong animal lover who knows pets are family! I understand how important routines, patience, and lots of love are for happy pups. I’ll always care for your dog like they’re my own with plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles along the way 🐾 While I have my own dog, I will add what you need into my routine and follow any instructions provided. A dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust that someone will follow your animals routine. I care for pets in their home by keeping their routine consistent and stress free. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure pets receive lots of love, attention, walks, playtime, and comfort while their owners are away. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and happy to provide updates and photos during visits!
“Siqin is super sweet! She stopped by before the visit to meet my cats and get to know them a bit, which was really thoughtful. During the drop-in, she sent lots of pics and videos and made sure to play with them. They both seemed really happy and comfortable with her. Would definitely book again!”

About: i have experience in cat sitting and have been around dogs my whole life. I enjoy walking them and playing with any animal. Any size and age. i’m currently working at a retail store part time, so about like 3-4 days a week. Usually night but occasionally the afternoons. But i will always have time when im free. I will make sure water is changed, animals get fed, played with, litter changed, and make sure everything is out of reach. On walks i will stay close to animal, make sure they go potty and keep them safe at all times.
About: I have years of hands-on experience working in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) at one of the Bay Area's top specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals. Every day, I manage medically complex patients, administer advanced treatments, and monitor critical conditions in a high-acuity environment. This is my professional foundation — not just a hobby. What sets me apart: I bring veterinary-level skill into a calm, home environment. I specialize in senior and hospice pets, pets with medical needs, and anxious pets who don't thrive in traditional boarding. I can confidently administer oral medications, injectable medications, subcutaneous fluids, and inhaled medications — all following your veterinarian's prescribed care plan using medications you provide. My home is intentionally quiet and controlled — no overcrowding, no chaos. I take very limited pets at a time so every animal gets individualized, attentive care. I notice the subtle things: changes in breathing, appetite shifts, stress signals, and comfort levels. If your pet needs more than just someone to fill a bowl and open a door — I'm your person. Pet care isn't a side gig for me — it's an extension of what I already do professionally. My life revolves around animal care — both professionally and at home. I intentionally structure my schedule so that every pet in my care gets consistent routines, timely medications, regular potty breaks, and attentive monitoring throughout the day and night. I don't overbook. Your pet is never an afterthought — they're my priority. In my home: My home is intentionally set up to be calm, quiet, and controlled. I take very limited pets at a time — no overcrowding, no chaotic energy. Your pet gets consistent daily routines (feeding, potty breaks, rest, and activity), attentive monitoring throughout the day and night, and safe, supervised backyard access. I maintain a predictable environment so your pet can settle in and feel secure — not overwhelmed. In your home: When I care for pets in the client's home, I follow your pet's existing routines as closely as possible. I keep everything familiar — same feeding schedule, same potty routine, same sleeping spots. I provide updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. For medical visits, I arrive on time, administer medications or treatments per your veterinarian's instructions, and make sure your pet is comfortable before I leave. For all pets in my care: I monitor for subtle changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and comfort. I administer medications (oral, injectable, inhaled) and subcutaneous fluids as prescribed by your vet. I never rush. I never overbook. Every pet gets my full attention and genuine care.
“I was initially apprehensive of leaving Oreo with a sitter, since he's a strong XL dog who can be reactive to other dogs. But I knew he was in safe hands with Su. Su took wonderful care of our dog during her drop in visits, and gave us cute pictures of Oreo with each of her visits. I didn't have to worry at all about Oreo during my trip.”

About: I own a single family house with nice fenced yard and we have a friendly golden retriever dog and he’s name is Kevin. I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets, I would love to take care of you pets as my own. I am housewife so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets during his or her stay. Plenty of play time and walking time. I have a fenced yard and a fur baby to stay company with yours, safe living area and parks trails near our house. Quiet and pretty

“Vanderlie did a great job taking care of our Booger. She was very prompt about her appointments with Booger. When we got back from our time away Booger was just as loving as she always is. We will use Vanderlie again in the future if we need to be away again.”

About: I've been a devoted pet caregiver for 9 years, caring for cats, rabbits, and hamsters with love and patience. Over the past year, I've also gained hands-on experience raising my own energetic Border Collie, who is now 10 months old and about 44 lbs. Through daily training, walks, playtime, and caring for a high-energy puppy, I've developed a deeper understanding of dogs' physical and emotional needs. I know that every pet has a unique personality. Whether your pet is playful, energetic, shy, or senior, I always provide patient, attentive, and personalized care to help them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I also enjoy sending detailed daily updates and plenty of photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I'm currently an MBA student and have just completed my first year. During summer break, I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to your pets. During the school year, my classes are primarily in the evenings, allowing me to continue providing reliable daytime care with minimal scheduling conflicts. Because I currently rent my home, I'm unable to offer boarding services. However, I'd be happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home through drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. My goal is always to treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Since my MBA program starts in mid-August and all my classes are in the evenings, I currently have a flexible schedule during the day. This allows me to dedicate ample time to new opportunities, projects, or commitments without scheduling conflicts. I’m available throughout the daytime and can easily adapt to different time zones or urgent tasks while attending evening classes. I currently rent my home and am unable to offer boarding services at my place. However, I am happy to provide loving and attentive pet care by visiting your home for drop-in visits, dog walking, or house sitting. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, and I’m dedicated to making sure they receive the care and attention they deserve while you’re away.
“Myat has done a great job on her drop in visits of my scaredy cat Hidee while I was away for 2 weeks. My cat even came out once while she was there, which is quite unusual. Myat is friendly, considerate and very easy to communicate with. Is very attentive and immediately reaches out to me for possible concerns and is very quick to respond. After each of her visits,I received detailed updates including tasks that were done and photos of them and my cat. I felt at ease with her caring for my cat. Overall a great experience! I highly recommend Myat and will definitely be seeking her services again in the future!”

About: Hi, I am Hong, you can call me Vicky too. For 18 wonderful years, my life revolved around my sweet Mini Schnauzer. From the playful puppy days to the gentle senior years, I've lovingly navigated every stage. I understand the unique needs of both growing puppies and older dogs—whether it’s extra cuddles, gentle walks, or medication management. I’ve been around dogs for over 20 years—starting in my student days, when I would help friends care for their dogs during the holidays. It’s something I’ve always truly enjoyed. Now, I work from home full-time, which means your pet will rarely be alone! Your furry family member will be treated with kindness, respect, and the same deep devotion I’ve always given. They'll enjoy constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and all the cuddles they desire. 📢Why Choose Me? ⭐️ Constant Companionship: As someone who works from home, I provide near-constant supervision and company, ensuring your pet feels secure and never lonely. ⭐️ Proven Patience & Love: Having raised a dog to 18 years, I have a deep well of patience and understanding for every personality and need. ⭐️Seamless Communication: I am fluent in both English and Chinese(中文), ensuring clear, easy, and worry-free updates for you. ⭐️ A Ready, Dog-Safe Home: My home is quiet, safe, and ready to welcome your pet without the stress of other resident animals. My work situation is great because I'm home-based and have a lot of flexibility with my time. I have the freedom to provide attention and potty breaks throughout the day. Your pet's safety is my top priority. In my home, I maintain a pet-proofed, clean, and hazard-free environment. I am meticulous about following all owner instructions for feeding, medication, and routines to provide a stress-free experience. A Note on Health & Safety (For All Our Well-being): To ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone, I kindly require that all pets in my care are fully vaccinated and on a proven flea/tick prevention program. As my canine guests are welcome on my furniture and even to snuggle in my bed, this is essential for everyone's comfort and health. My goal is to provide a "home away from home" where your pet feels loved, secure, and happily exhausted.
About: I have a beautiful cat, Charlie. I learned a lot about cats from him. I’ve also had the privilege of working with Much Love (dog foster), NKLA (No-Kill Los Angeles, dog care taker) and the Marin Humane Society ( cat care taker), where I gained hands-on experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. More recently I fostered Timon, a handsome husky, and found a furrever home for him. I love pets and have lots of patience. I’m currently working from home. And my working schedule is flexible. I can work around the schedule to fit pet care in. So I am available most time of the week. I have a fenced yard. My cat Charlie, he just doesn’t care. He is ok with other cats and dogs, based on past experience. No children at home.

We hired Susie to visit twice a day for a week to give Cooper his insulin injections while my husband was away, and she exceeded every expectation. Cooper is diabetic, and Susie is the very first person outside of my husband and me to successfully give him his insulin shots. Before finding Susie, we even had a trial with a vet tech, and it was a complete disaster. After three unsuccessful attempts, I ended up giving the injection myself. With Susie, everything went smoothly from the very first visit. What amazed me most was how quickly Cooper warmed up to her. He usually doesn’t trust new people, but he loved Susie right away and actually looked forward to her twice-daily visits. Seeing how excited he was to see her gave me complete peace of mind. Cooper doesn’t do well with boarding because he truly thinks he’s a person and is happiest at home. Susie made him feel safe, comfortable, and loved, and she cared for him as if he were her own. We’re already looking forward to having Susie dog sit Cooper for a longer stay on our next trip. She’ll definitely be our go-to sitter from now on. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, reliable, and who truly treats your pet like family. The fact that she’s also so confident and capable with insulin injections is an incredible bonus. Thank you, Susie, for taking such wonderful care of our sweet boy! ❤️🐾

Annabelle was my cat sitter while I took a trip with my husband to see my family on the East Coast. We are always worried that our pet will feel stressed and alone. Annabelle was so kind and affectionate to our cat, Olive Oil. She loved him immediately and took good care of him making him feel safe and developing trust immediately. Annabelle was on time everyday, consistently cleaning the litter box, providing food and water, and making sure everything we requested got done. She is very sweet, easy to work with, accommodates the client's needs, and has a lot of knowledge about the care of pets. We highly recommend Annabelle.

Diana was AMAZING. She saw our sick cat on very last minute notice, worked so hard to get her meds in (even though my cat can be resistant), made sure my kitty was super comfortable, sent us ABUNDANT photos, put out a whole array of different foods from different places in our apartment as we were trying to get her to eat, etc. the list goes on. We were so incredibly worried about our kitty and Diana put us at ease with her care. We would hire her again in a heartbeat. She was also just so kind, patient, generous, and communicative the whole way!

Melody and her mom were amazing! Professional and conscientious from our very first meeting. We came home to happy cats and a clean, litter free floor. Melody kept us updated with pictures and information about each visit every day. I'm rebooking her for our next trip right now!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Charlene as our cat sitter. She was extremely reliable, communicative, and went out of her way to make sure our cats were comfortable and cared for while we were away. What really stood out to us was how genuinely sweet and caring she was with them — she didn’t just stop by to complete the basics, but actually spent quality time playing with them and giving them attention during every visit. We could tell she truly cares about animals, and it gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing our cats were in such good hands. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dependable pet sitter.

We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! 😊 Sijia was incredibly kind, flexible, reliable, and took such wonderful care of our cat while we were away. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable trusting her with both our cat and our home. What meant the most to us was how quickly the two of them connected — our cat loved her right away, and it was obvious that she truly cares about animals and pays attention to every little detail. She kept us updated regularly, which gave us so much peace of mind during our trip, and we could really relax knowing he was in such good hands. We’re so grateful for all the care and love she gave him. We will absolutely book her again for our next vacation and can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing pet sitter! ❤️

You are THE BEST, Aixia! The cats love you - and we love how good you are with them, how thoughtful you are with everything, and how generous you are with sharing photos and notes with us on your visits. Hearing from you is always a highlight of our days away from home. Thank you SO MUCH 🧡
Chloe has been an absolute life saver for my family and I with our 11mo old bernedoodle boy. She’s always quick to respond and always sends updates when with your pet. She’s picked up and dropped off our boy from my parents house and even picked him up when my mom had to change schedules. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
