“Elena was wonderful. We used Elena for morning drop-ins for 9 days, primarily to feed our 2 dogs. She communicated well, sent pictures of our dogs each day, and was prompt. Our fur babies were very comfortable with Elena. We highly recommend Elena and plan to use her again, and in fact, we have already booked her again.”

About: Hi, I’m Cameron. I’m a lifelong dog owner with a very flexible schedule this summer, and I’m offering dog walking and drop-in visits. I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, from large breeds like Rottweilers and Akitas to small ones like Chihuahuas and Mini Aussies. My own dog is a 12-year-old rescue Golden Retriever mix that I’ve had for a decade. Through caring for her, I've gotten very comfortable with senior dog care, administering oral medication, and adjusting to slower-paced routines. I know every dog is different. Some need a good long walk to burn off energy, while others just want a quiet companion and a slow walk around the block. I’m patient and calm, which tends to work really well with dogs that are a bit timid or slow to warm up to new people, especially men. As a teacher on summer break, my schedule is very open and flexible. I have full availability throughout the day, evenings, and weekends between 11am and 10pm, allowing me to provide consistent care and companionship when your dog needs it most. I live in Union City and have my own reliable transportation, so I can easily travel to your home anywhere in the area. Because I am not tied to a typical 9-to-5 office routine, I can offer your pet more than just a quick check-in—I am available for extended walks, midday play sessions, or simply staying present to keep a senior dog or anxious pup company (~30 minutes, if needed). Whether you need a regular weekday routine or last-minute weekend help, I can easily integrate your pet’s needs into my day. Safety and reliability are my top priorities. As a longtime rescue owner and university professional, I treat every pet with the same vigilance and care I give my own. In Your Home & On Walks: I am a respectful guest and a focused handler. I provide my own reliable transportation and come prepared with spare leashes and waste bags. During walks, I am hyper-aware of surroundings to ensure a safe, stress-free experience. In My Home: My environment is fully pet-proofed and secure, featuring a fenced-in yard with no environmental risks. Because of my flexible summer schedule, your dog will enjoy constant supervision and a calm, climate-controlled space to relax. Trust & Communication: I strictly follow all care instructions—from meal timings to medication—and provide regular photo updates so you always have peace of mind.

“Luella took really good care of my two cats. Her visit notes were very detailed. She took extra care to look for the cats to make sure they were okay. She also went the extra step to clean up their messes. Her communication is excellent and I could tell she has a lot of love and affection for animals. I would book her again.”

“Yilian was wonderful with our dogs. She provided drop-ins to primarily feed our fur babies; and she ensured their blankets were in their beds, tidied up the garage and yard, and played with them while she was at the house. She communicated well and promptly, sent us updates and pics. We will definitely book Yilian again!”

About: You can rest assured your furry friend will be in capable hands! I’ve cared for two dogs of my own—one since puppy age to old age, and I currently have a 2yr old pup. I enjoy training dogs/believe this is a great way for bonding. I also enjoy being active and playing or taking dogs on walks. I work full time Monday through Friday, therefore weekends are the best if your dog requires round the clock care. If your dog just needs a morning walk and attention in the evening after I am off work, then I can look after them any day of the week. Personally, I like to keep dogs to their daily routine if possible. I do have a 2 year old dog who is very playful and loves to make new friends. Your furry friend would be coming along on our morning and evening walks and a part of before bed playtime!

About: Hi! I’m Divya, a big dog lover and the proud owner of a Husky named Yukon, so I’m very comfortable caring for active and energetic dogs. Huskies need a lot of exercise and attention, which has given me great experience with long walks, playtime, and understanding different dog personalities. Over the years my husband and I also watched many friends’ dogs for free while they were away for a day or a weekend. Because of that, I’ve had experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I live in the East Bay and love taking dogs on long walks around the neighborhood or to nearby parks so they can get plenty of exercise and stimulation. Whether your dog needs a walk, a quick bathroom break, or someone to spend time with them while you’re out of town, I’d be happy to help. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and always try to follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible. Just let me know what your dog likes, their habits, and anything I should be aware of so I can make sure they have a great experience. I’d love to help take care of your dog and give you peace of mind while you’re away! I’m currently working from home a few times a week and available for weekend boardings. My husband and I usually are home during the week. Weekends we usually spend a lot of time with our husky. He’s super friendly not overly talkative dog and loves all dogs of all sizes. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and have flexibility to take in a crate or use my dogs large one. We take our dog out 4-5 times a day depending on the day.

About: My name is Andrea, I cared for my family dog for 17 years. I now currently have 1.6 year old golden doodle. I have cared for many other dogs of all different sizes over the years. I care for all dogs as if they were my own and love the energy and comfort they bring to us. I think it’s important to take them out a much as possible since they spend most of their life inside. It’s important to me to provide as much time as possible for my dog to be let outside as often as possible. I look forward to meeting new dogs in need of a friendly interaction/ adventure ! I’m currently working full time but my job is flexible so I’m open to the hours. I’m familiar with a lot of parks in Hayward and would love to explore those areas with the dogs if needed. I’m open to your dogs scheduled and routine. I know with experience that dogs have their routines with food, walks and bathroom time. Lots of petting too!

About: I absolutely love animals. I've grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have two cats at home. Previously experienced with caring for my senior dog who had CKD. I have a lot of experience with dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments as I'm currently working as a vet assistant and studying to be a registered veterinary technician. I recognize that every pet parent has their individualized way of caring for their pet and I strive to support that. Your furry kid means a lot and you should feel confident and comfortable with their care. I currently work 4 day weeks, 10 hours a day. I have three days throughout the week and nights after work that are available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting. I do my best to maintain a safe environment, staying aware of harmful materials, chemicals or products that a pet could get into. Removing or storing these items safely to avoid any negative exposure. Especially for young pets (and labs) that will eat anything.
“I had Katie S. watch my dog, Skye, while I was out of town for my engagement party, and they were amazing. Super friendly, easy to communicate with, and clearly loves dogs. They sent me cute updates and pics while I was away, which totally put me at ease. Skye looked so happy and chill when I got back—definitely a sign of good care. Would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!”

Dani has been caring for our two cats for over 2+ years now when we’re out of town. She is absolutely amazing with the cats and she’s a great communicator. It’s such a blessing that we have Dani, we don’t have to worry about the cats on our trips which is a huge relief!

Shanyu went above and beyond in taking care of our cat, Wooyoo! She kept us updated with detailed messages and lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She also made sure Wooyoo was comfortable, happy, and getting plenty of playtime. We could tell he was in great hands, and we really appreciated the extra care and attention she gave him. We would absolutely recommend Shanyu to anyone looking for a caring and thoughtful sitter!

We can always rest assured if we know Sharon can watch our kitties. We can tell she cares for them deeply, and they are so happy to meet her. She always stays for extra time to take care of them, and we appreciate her more than she can imagine. We know we can always relax if Sharon is there!

Mina was great with Cloud and Sunshine. She helped on short notice, came by for a meet and greet, and sent photos, videos, and updates throughout the stay. She's very detail-oriented and checked with me before changing a feeding time. Even Sunshine, who's shy with new people, warmed up to her. I'd happily book her again.

Yilian (Grace) was absolutely wonderful during her drop-in visits! She was incredibly accommodating with my last-minute request and happily agreed to check in on my babies. She was kind, attentive, and thorough in following all of my instructions, and she provided excellent updates and documentation throughout her visits. I especially appreciated the photos and videos she sent, which gave me peace of mind and let me see how my babies were doing while I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I highly recommend Grace to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter, and I’ll absolutely be booking with her again in the future!
Brianna was very patient and caring with Amber. She kept us updated and sent us pictures every day, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Amber maintained a healthy weight after our trip, which tells us that she was comfortable and not too stressed while we were gone. We truly appreciate Brianna’s dedication and the wonderful care she gave Amber. Thank you so much!

Mary was an excellent sitter! She came ahead of time for the meet and greet, took care of the cats as expected on every day consistently. It was a relief to know the cats were taken care of, to be able to have her be booked on short notice and I really appreciated her flexibility as well. Would highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
