“All I can say is WOW! We are SO lucky to have found Jeannine and her family. Lazlo, our almost 7 month Vizsla, spent 2 days (including an overnight) with Jeannine and he LOVED it. Jeannine was wonderful, answered questions so quickly in the booking process, and sent us lots of photos and updates each day. She has a great set up and is so sweet and professional. I’m so glad we found someone who is reliable and as wonderful as Jeannine. Lazlo can’t wait to stay again!!!”

“Kelsey was awesome. She updated me with pictures of my puppy every day. She was very understanding and patient. This was my first experience using rover and I felt safe. 10/10 recommend.”

“Esmirna took such good care of my boy! She kept me updated and let me know how he was doing. This was the first time I left Jack with someone and I will definitely continue to book with Esmirna again :)”

“The absolute best. For many of us, it can be difficult and very anxiety-inducing to even consider having someone new care for your beloved pet, but the moment you meet Amber, all of your concerns will vanish.”

About: I'm a huge animal lover - big and small! I've had dogs and cats my whole life. We have a sweet cat who absolutely loves every dog that comes through our home. We currently have a Great Dane and Great Pyrenees as well as chickens, 1 guinea pig, 2 rabbits and fish. I'm all about making sure our babies are happy and healthy and living the best life we can provide to them. After doing much research and lots of experience, I've learned a lot about a dog's language and how to respect them. I will treat your pets as if they are my own and will love on them just the same. I can't wait to meet your fur-babies! Rover is my full time job right now so I’m available to take care of your pup throughout the day as need be, whether that’s just hanging out or a walk or potty break, etc. I have a large fenced in yard and our 2 dogs will gladly keep your pup company and enjoy running around. I can easily crate if need be as well.
“Veronica was very friendly and flexible and provided excellent care for my pup with photo updates. She was easy to communicate with and it is clear that she enjoys and cares for those pets entrusted to her!”

“Jess was a lifesaver when my previous plans fell through and she was able to take Toby at the last minute. Toby also had a great time and would happily go back next time we’re in the Pittsburgh area :)”

“Heidi, her husband and four kids were great with our 13 yr old and 3 yr old rescues! They got along fantastic with Heidi’s 2 black labs and our 3 yr old rescue really didn’t want to leave her new buddies, Zoe & Lucy..Very nice kids and the fenced in yard made us feel that more comfortable. You won’t be sorry having Heidi and her fam take care of your pooch! Pat S”

“Hailey was very good with our husky pup. She kept our puppy at her house for 6-days while we were on vacation. She communicated very well and sent pictures throughout our pups stay. It was nice to have a safe place for our pup to stay while we were on vacation. We will definitely being using Hailey again in the future!”

“Christi was fantastic! We were worried about leaving our senior dog for a couple nights during our vacation and Christi had a very warm and welcoming home for our girl. She fell in love with them and wasn’t stressed like she would have been at a dog kennel. I would recommend her over and over again and will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Lindsey and her entire family are great! My high energy dog loved running around the yard and playing with all of his new friends. He was definitely well cared for and he had so much fun on his “vacation.” He can’t wait to come visit everyone again!”

“I would describe Chef’s stay with Elle as like staying in a Camp doggie … full of activities like off leash hiking In a park morning and/or afternoon , playing frisbee/ball in their big backyard with her family , and if you get lucky like Chef, you get to learn how to swim in the pool and learn how to jump like those agility courses . Chef stayed overnight for 5 nights , and he was treated like family . We are so lucky to have found Elle to watch our dog. And it was so nice that he gets to play with their border collie Eve , as well as other dogs in Elle’s care for the day . It’s really a nice feeling to leave your dog to a family that enjoys taking care of them as well as knowledgeable and very confident in all things doggie ? Oh and while we were away , we got so many updates like pics, videos of every activity that they did . It was fun to watch and very reassuring to see . Thank you very very much !”

“Michelle and Sami were great when they watched my girl, Kira. They treated her like family and sent pictures/updates during her stay. Would highly recommend!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
