“Emily and Patrick were great sitters for Nola while we were away attending a wedding. They sent multiple pictures and video updates for us, and Nola had a great time playing with Eli! Thank you so much 😊”

“We are so glad to have found Michelle and Sami. They treated our golden dog like family for our holiday weekend away. They also have 2 sons who were super helpful. The whole family took part in caring for our dog. My pup came back happy and tired from playing with their dogs ☺️”

“We were very nervous about leaving our lab, Mila, when we were away. The took the best care of Mila. I got updates and Mila was a very happy pup upon picking her back up. Our minds were at ease”

“Milissa watched my 12 lb Shih Tzu for over a week. I received many pictures of Geena, she looked happy and comfortable. Milissa placed blankets underneath her to lay on, and frequently took her outside. She showed my dog a lot of love. I would get her again without hesitation! Mike her husband helped out. Thanks Mike.”

“Cassandra was a great sitter! She sent me daily updates with photos every day, which I truly appreciated. Everyone in her family showered Bowie with love and playtime while I was away on a trip. She was very attentive and communicative. I will definitely contact her whenever Bowie needs a sitter. Cannot recommend her enough!”
“Chang sent us lots of pictures of our dog looking Happ and having a good time at her house. She was really kind and easy to work with. We will be using her again.”

“Samantha and Ian took wonderful care of our pups while we were on vacation for a week. They sent many updates and photos while we were away. Our dogs didn't want to come home I don't think! We have tried many dog sitters and will only be using Samantha and Ian from here out!”

“Asher M. was a wonderful pet sitter for my two boys! This was the first time that I have ever had anyone, besides family members, watch my two cats. My boys are almost 12, and one is diabetic, but I had no concerns during my trip. Asher stayed in contact with me, gave me his personal cell phone number, and even sent me pictures of my two cats during my trip. I appreciated all of this greatly, and cannot recommend his care enough! Thank you for making my first experience with not only Rover, but also with boarding my two cats anywhere, a smooth and stress free experience. I will book again with Asher M. if I find myself needing another boarding for my two.”

“Jeannine is the best! She frequently communicates with pictures and updates and genuinely loves the dogs. Our dog was well cared for and had lots of socialization with other dogs and exercise. We would highly recommend Jeannine for all types of doggy care.”
“Kelly helped us out last minute after a cancellation from another sitter and I’m SO glad we found her! I could tell by her updates, with pictures included, that her and her family were loving my pup like their own. He came home with a stylish new bandana and is a happy boy. I would recommend Kelly to everyone and we would definitely use her again!”

“Our dog, Hudson, had such a great time staying at Dana’s! He is very high energy so we were pleasantly surprised when he was all tuckered out from playing with Cooper. We also appreciated Dana’s quick response time and pictures of our dog during his stay!”

About: I have years of experience caring, loving, and training dogs. Navigating three senior dogs (18 years+) at once I can administer oral and topical medication and understand the gentle and considerate care senior dogs require. I’ve trained two puppies from zero to age two in accordance with the Canine Good Citizen Standards. I believe in a fear free positive reinforcement training and caretaking style and am studying to help generally train service dogs (online training and I’ve shadowed a non-profit trainer). From walking, movement, exercise, brain stimulating games, and general care - it is all included in my day. I care for your pets how I’d want someone to care for my pet - of the highest standard of attention and thoughtfulness in both my space and yours.

“Great peace of mind leaving my two dogs with Samantha when a family emergency mandated I leave town suddenly. She was quick to respond and and very flexible with pick-up days/times, which I really appreciated. When I picked my pups up, they were happy and calm from all the playtime they got in Samantha's large, shady backyard. Will definitely book again with Samantha in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beaver
We had a great experience using Cynthia! She was responsive, kind and caring, sent pics/video, and our dogs were well taken care of and had a wonderful time! Her having a fenced in yard was a great plus for us and you could also tell she loves dogs so that put us at ease. We’ve already booked her for our next trip!

Anthony and Leslie have been our go-to dog sitters for about five years. We typically book with them 1-2 times per year. They always do a wonderful job not only caring for our senior pup Daisy, but also providing frequent picture and text updates throughout her stay. They were especially gracious this time when Daisy had an accident (unusual) and got sick (more common) in the house. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
