“This is our 2nd time bringing our dog here while we were away for a few days and once again we are very happy with the stay that he had. It's extremely hard for me to find someone I am comfortable leaving my dog with, but from here on out anytime we go anywhere, this is our "go-to" sitter.”

“Katrina was GREAT! We were a little worried because we'd not gotten a chance to meet her before we got into town and we were 8 hours away from home but as soon as we met her we knew that she'd take great care of the dogs. She has two smaller dogs of her own that she kept separate from ours while we were there, but by the time we picked Hope and Lou up a few days later everyone was hanging out together. She was quick to update when I checked in on the dogs, but really, I felt comfortable enough that I only texted twice. I would absolutely leave them with her again when I'm back in the area.”

“Angeline and her husband Dave we're fantastic!! They really made us feel comfortable leaving our girls Lilly and Lulu with them. We loved all the picture updates and feel that they treated pur girls with just much love and we would have. We look forward to having Angeline care for our girls again in May.”

“This was the best pet sitting experience we could have hoped for! It is our first time using Rover and Laurie was an absolute delight. She treated Sadie as if she were her own and updated us daily with photos. We will 100% recommend and use her again ! 10/10!”

“Anthony was great! This was the first time boarding our dog and was a little nervous because he’s still a puppy but Anthony was patient with him and constantly gave me updates on how Bullet was doing. I felt very at ease leaving him there. I would highly recommend him and plan on using him again in the future!”

“We could not have found a better dog sitter than Cassandra. Our old dog Pippi was a challenge - multiple accidents - yet Cassandra was so understanding and tolerant! And her children were great with Pippi, giving her belly rubs and lots of attention, so much so that she practically purred.”

“Monica took great care of my dog, Lusia, while I was away. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. Everything went smoothly, and I highly recommend her as a responsible and caring pet sitter!”

“Wendy was great!!! She texted me with updates, questions, and went above and beyond for my senior who isn’t necessarily comfortable with change!!! She left her a goody basket which my dog loved, and throughout her stay she went above and beyond to help my dog with her upset stomach, feel comfortable and took her out often!!! I could tell Layla had a great time with her when i picked her up and when she smelt her from her toy!!!”

About: I'm a huge animal lover - big and small! I've had dogs and cats my whole life. We have a sweet cat who absolutely loves every dog that comes through our home. We currently have a Great Dane and Great Pyrenees as well as chickens, 1 guinea pig, 2 rabbits and fish. I'm all about making sure our babies are happy and healthy and living the best life we can provide to them. After doing much research and lots of experience, I've learned a lot about a dog's language and how to respect them. I will treat your pets as if they are my own and will love on them just the same. I can't wait to meet your fur-babies! Rover is my full time job right now so I’m available to take care of your pup throughout the day as need be, whether that’s just hanging out or a walk or potty break, etc. I have a large fenced in yard and our 2 dogs will gladly keep your pup company and enjoy running around. I can easily crate if need be as well.
“Michael was great with Colt & made me feel so at ease while being away on vacation. He sent a video everyday and kept us updated! My flight was delayed so I was a little later to pick Colt up and he understood 100%. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future!”

About: What sets us apart is that dogs aren’t just pets in our home—they’re family. We’ve been caring for dogs together since 2013, and our animals live fully alongside us in everyday life, from couch snuggles to family adventures. Our dogs are regularly vetted, deeply loved, and yes—often spoiled. In addition to long-term pet care, we’re proud foster parents with The Road Home Animal Project and have lovingly fostered over 22 dogs (and counting), each with unique personalities and needs. This experience has made us patient, adaptable, and confident caring for dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Your pup won’t just be watched—they’ll be welcomed into a calm, happy home with a whole family devoted to their comfort and care. Pet care is woven into our daily life. My husband works remotely five days a week, I work part-time, and evenings and weekends are open—perfect for one-on-one attention, extra spoiling, and playtime with our dogs who love having new friends. We care for pets like family, offering fenced yard play, neighborhood walks, and crate options when needed. Our friendly, sometimes vocal dogs enjoy playmates, and pets are fully included in our home with supervision, comfy furniture, and attentive care.
“My dog got along great with hers and her family, kept me updated on everything and in the loop with how he was doing, and super flexible and took my last minute request!”

“Heidi and her family took great care of my two aussies for 5 days. A different sitter canceled on me last minute and I messaged Heidi the night before, and she was very accommodating and helpful. Heidi sent me pics and updates all along the way, and my pups looked so happy. They are clearly a dog-loving family!!”

“We had a great experience and will definitely be boarding again!! Easy pick up and drop off, great communication with daily picture updates, and our pup LOVED the doggie door!!”

- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
