“Katrina was GREAT! We were a little worried because we'd not gotten a chance to meet her before we got into town and we were 8 hours away from home but as soon as we met her we knew that she'd take great care of the dogs. She has two smaller dogs of her own that she kept separate from ours while we were there, but by the time we picked Hope and Lou up a few days later everyone was hanging out together. She was quick to update when I checked in on the dogs, but really, I felt comfortable enough that I only texted twice. I would absolutely leave them with her again when I'm back in the area.”

“Angeline and Dave were great with my extremely energetic boxer pup. I was nervous to leave town for a whole week but Angeline sent pictures with updates everyday which made me feel so much better!”

About: What sets us apart is that dogs aren’t just pets in our home—they’re family. We’ve been caring for dogs together since 2013, and our animals live fully alongside us in everyday life, from couch snuggles to family adventures. Our dogs are regularly vetted, deeply loved, and yes—often spoiled. In addition to long-term pet care, we’re proud foster parents with The Road Home Animal Project and have lovingly fostered over 22 dogs (and counting), each with unique personalities and needs. This experience has made us patient, adaptable, and confident caring for dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Your pup won’t just be watched—they’ll be welcomed into a calm, happy home with a whole family devoted to their comfort and care. Pet care is woven into our daily life. My husband works remotely five days a week, I work part-time, and evenings and weekends are open—perfect for one-on-one attention, extra spoiling, and playtime with our dogs who love having new friends. We care for pets like family, offering fenced yard play, neighborhood walks, and crate options when needed. Our friendly, sometimes vocal dogs enjoy playmates, and pets are fully included in our home with supervision, comfy furniture, and attentive care.
“Laurie was wonderful with Gracie! I was a little nervous letting Gracie stay away but from the moment we had our meet & greet I felt very comfortable. Laurie, her sweet dog Daphne & daughter were very warm and welcoming. Laurie provided many check-ins and promptly answered all of the questions I had. I would definitely Laurie to anyone looking for a sitter and plan to use Laurie again in the future!”

“First time using Rover and could not have had a better experience with Cassandra. It is hard to leave your pet but we were so happy that we were updated daily. I highly recommend her if you need a pet sitter.”

“They did a wonderful job taking care of our 6 month old puppy, Daisy. Lots of pictures throughout the day. Time outside and at a dog park to release some in of her puppy energy. She was a very happy and tired puppy after her day-long visit.”

“I’m so grateful to have found Kelly! She took such great care of my dogs while I was away. They came home happy, relaxed, and even wearing the cutest bandannas! She’s incredibly friendly and thoughtful—what really stood out was how she kept me updated with lots of pictures and messages without me even having to ask. That kind of communication gave me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“Monica provided excellent hospitality to our pup and made him feel safe and loved. She was excellent with communication and daily pictures of our pup looking happy, calm, and relaxed during his stay. I highly recommend Monica.”

“Wendy took AMAZING care of our pup!!! She sent us tons of video of him during our trip and she even sent him home in a fancy outfit with a goodie bag!! I could not recommend her more!”

About: I'm a huge animal lover - big and small! I've had dogs and cats my whole life. We have a sweet cat who absolutely loves every dog that comes through our home. We currently have a Great Dane and Great Pyrenees as well as chickens, 1 guinea pig, 2 rabbits and fish. I'm all about making sure our babies are happy and healthy and living the best life we can provide to them. After doing much research and lots of experience, I've learned a lot about a dog's language and how to respect them. I will treat your pets as if they are my own and will love on them just the same. I can't wait to meet your fur-babies! Rover is my full time job right now so I’m available to take care of your pup throughout the day as need be, whether that’s just hanging out or a walk or potty break, etc. I have a large fenced in yard and our 2 dogs will gladly keep your pup company and enjoy running around. I can easily crate if need be as well.
“My dog north loves Mike’s place from the very first meet. i can see in the videos how much my dog (and the others) loves Mike. His place is perfectly organized to host dogs, inside and outside. Mikes place will be my first option for boarding. He exceeded my expectations. Totally recommend.”

“Lauren was just great with my puppy Libby. She took care of her as if she was her own. I was very pleased with how she took care of my dog. I would definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a boarder.”

They got along fantastic with Heidi’s 2 black labs and our 3 yr old rescue really didn’t want to leave her new buddies, Zoe & Lucy..Very nice kids and the fenced in yard made us feel that more comfortable. You won’t be sorry having Heidi and her fam take care of your pooch! Pat S”

“Lisa was great with Lucy and Annie! I could tell they had a good time because they were tired when they got home! I really liked the dog friendly atmosphere of Lisa's home. She also had two fenced in areas that they can go outside and play! I will definitely use Lisa again!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
