Chelsea was amazing!! Our furkids loved spending time with her during our time away. She was very attentive and went above and beyond to take care of them and our needs while we were traveling. She shared many pictures with us and made sure we stayed connected to them. We would HIGHLY recommend her services to anyone who needs a pet sitter. We will definitely hire her again!

Stephanie was so attentive to our 2 dogs and 2 cats! She made our trip/time away much more enjoyable knowing that our kiddos were well taken care of. She checked in if she needed anything and was even helpful when I had asked for her to do a task at the house. I would recommend her 100% and will be using her services again in the future. Kept us informed of everything while we were gone.

About: Hello, I’m Kandis, a lifelong Steubenville local with a deep love for animals. Growing up with dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, birds, reptiles, fish, and even farm animals, I’ve gained hands-on experience with pets of all shapes, sizes, and life stages, from playful puppies and the ‘terrible twos’ to senior companions who need gentle care. I love how pets enrich our lives. Whether it’s daily dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, or medication reminders, I treat every pet like my own, with the patience and affection they deserve. I’m currently building my dedicated pet sitting and dog walking business in the Steubenville area. My schedule is highly flexible and open most days and times—aside from Saturday and Sunday morning Mass. I’m happy to work around your needs for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, or whatever your pets require. Just let me know your schedule! I deeply respect your home and privacy and will follow all instructions for your pets and property without issue. Whether caring for your pets in your home or welcoming them into mine, their safety and comfort come first. My home features a fenced backyard, separate levels for quiet time if needed, and kennels for flexible arrangements. I have two friendly dogs of my own (a Bernedoodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) who love making new friends and providing companionship during stays. I prepare healthy homemade treats like dehydrated fruit and jerky, and I’m experienced managing picky eaters and sensitive stomachs.

About: I have worked in the animal science field all of my undergraduate career and recently graduated with my bachelors of science in animal science. I have always enjoyed animals and was a veterinarian assistant as well. I have training in senior dog care, puppy training and needs, and feline care from job and school experience. I believe that every animal requires a different type of care. My personal dog Eevee is a french bulldog mix who is a drama queen and has a herniated spinal cord so she needs a different level of care. I have a flexible schedule! I have a part time job along with Rover and can switch shifts around based on your pet care needs. Pet care depends on the pet. Every animal is different, which is why I love animal care. I do not mind adhering to specific feeding patterns, special potty breaks and even the puppy and senior stage in your pets life!

About: I'm passionate when it comes to top quality care of all animals. I live, eat, and breathe pet care/vet med. I'm a loving, kind experienced veterinary assistant with experience in specialty vet med. I have 2 medium well trained dogs that I share custody of, so I can accomodate more needy puppers or kitties if needed (they can go to their dads for sittings) I also have 3 cats. My first job as a kid in high-school was helping the local groomer wash dogs. I have pet sat, house sat, walked dogs, fed, bathed, clipped nails, admin'ed meds, etc. for over 20 years at this point. Because I have a background in vet med, I feel comfortable with pets who have some mild to moderate special needs. I work full time remotely, so I am available to sit in my home or at yours with short notice. I also have a very flexible schedule which allows for frequent potty/ walk about breaks. I have a spare room for pets overnight in my home. During the day they're allowed to freely roam the house and we will take occasional strolls to park, or on the trail, based on behavior and comfort level of all parties.

About: Welcome to Meg's Gentle Loving Pet Care—where your furry friends become part of our family! With over 15 years of experience, including nearly eight through Rover, we're experts in making pets feel right at home. Our passion for animals shines in every aspect of our in-home daycare and boarding services. As U.S.M.C veteran, dependability and excellence are at the heart of what we do. Pets stay inside our home or enjoy our spacious, fenced-in yard. We both work from home, allowing flexible drop-off and pick-up times. Our slow integration process carefully matches each pup with playmates to ensure they socialize comfortably. We ask you to bring any items—treats, toys, beds, crates—that will help keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. We're committed to keeping you informed with honest updates about your pet’s stay, ensuring they receive only the food and treats you provide to avoid any allergies or reactions. Join our family at Meg’s Gentle Loving Pet Care for a service filled with love, care, and professionalism. Let your pets experience a home away from home with us! Kasha runs the business full-time, starting her day at 6 AM by letting the pups out for their morning routine, showering them with love and affection, preparing and serving breakfast, and managing the day's arrivals and departures. We schedule drop-offs and pickups in 30-minute slots to ensure a smooth and stress-free transition for everyone involved. Regular potty and play breaks are scheduled every two hours. As evening rolls in, Megna is usually in the kitchen cooking dinner, with our canine guests eagerly anticipating any accidental treats! Meanwhile, Kasha takes them out for their early evening potty break before dinner. Our nights wind down with the latest flick on TV, snuggling on the couch, dispensing cuddles and pets to our furry guests, ensuring they feel loved and secure before one last potty break before bed and we all settle in for the night. Our home is equipped with baby gates throughout to maintain a safe environment at all times. We have both indoor and outdoor cameras covering every area of our living space, ensuring constant security. If we hear anything unusual during the night, we can instantly check the cameras via our phones to assess the situation, whether it's a simple shift in sleeping positions or something that needs our attention. We keep our space tidy and food-free unless we are cooking, and we craft all our cleaning products from pet-friendly, non-toxic, natural ingredients. The safety of our three pets and our guests is our top priority, and we are vigilant in maintaining a secure environment. Should any issue arise, we communicate immediately and take all necessary measures to resolve the situation satisfactorily.

Tori was a great choice to care for our cats and fish while we were on vacation! She followed all instructions left for her and provided many pictures every day. We got home and everything was as we left it. She even cleaned up littler off the floor and washed the cat food spoon. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! We will definitely be booking her again!

About: I’ve had 2+ dogs in my entire life. In my adult life I’ve had 2+ service dogs that travel with me. I am a critical care nurse who has taken pet CPR as far as safety. I have emergency meds as well. Luckily, I have a house with a fences in yard, animal friendly household with spare rooms and a heated/cooled garage/closed/secured garage for any kind of special separation needs (in heat/aggressive breeds/outside animals, etc). Currently off enjoying a break from work, .. . So as of now, my schedule is very flexible. My household/fenced backyard/garage, is sectioned off pretty nicely. So, I have a very flexible availability overall. I am very positive I can meet most requests/needs for boarding/grooming/daycare/etc. So just let me know! I have a three bedroom house with a fenced in backyard, doggie door, heated/cooled garage that is secure and closed off separate from the house with his own doggie door for added space.. is a very accommodating/adaptable layout also self-sufficient if need be, but I should be here the entire time

About: I became a dog sitter when my Husband was working in the Military. His friends and workers would all need to go see family and could not always take their animals. So I became known as their extra Pet mommy. Even after my Husband got out of the ARMY, We saw a old comrade I sat for, and they said their dog doesn't like their new sitter. She was sad I left. We saw them in EPCOT of all places. It was nice to know they liked me. I am available all day to come and walk or play, or even just sit with your puppies or kitties. I have my own transportation and am reliable. I never leave the pet alone. we play and cuddle a lot. I take care of their area and their meds if needed as well. I am currently working part time so I will have time to play and cuddle with your pets all the time. It will be my pleasure. I am always watching to make sure they don't get into something they shouldn't be eating or playing with. I love to take walks and play.

As of July 2026, there are 2,155 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Toronto. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Toronto stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Toronto. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
