About: Not only am I a true dog lover, I am also a sport dog owner and handler that brings over 15 years of experience to the table. I have had dogs my entire life, but I have been actively competing in a variety of dog sports for over 8 years and training my own dogs for over a decade. If you would like to learn more about my dogs, feel free to ask me or look up my business page (JK9 Pet Services, LLC) to learn more about us. I do charge more on Rover than I do direct booking, but I am open to offering discounts to my repeat clients if they prefer to use the Rover platform. I offer a specialized style of boarding that focuses on the individual care of each dog. This is not a day care style boarding facility and if you would like your dog to play with unfamiliar dogs, I am not the sitter for you. This allows me to take dogs that need specialized care, can't be with other dogs for a variety of reasons, and puppies or seniors that may not be suited for group play. I also have a lot of experience with special needs dogs, higher energy breeds, dog reactive dogs, and the health and safety of my boarders is always my top priority. I offer a monthly promotional item that I will send home with your dog as well as a toy or a bag of treats as a thank you. I am also a PA licensed retailer and carry a small variety of products that are available for purchase. I work from home so I have a fairly flexible schedule for pick ups and drop offs for boarding. I do have the ability for drop in care up to 4 times a day, but I have limited my drop in services to my neighborhood to help make things easier to accommodate the needs of your pets. My calendar is also regularly updated to show when I am available and is updated several months in advance. Drop off and pick up times during the day are typically the easiest for me to accommodate since my dogs do have classes and things some nights and weekends. All boarding dogs will get an indoor space that is all theirs in a kennel run or a crate. All kennel runs are 5'x5' and include water, a kuranda bed, blankets, and a crate mat to keep them comfortable. I will also use calming sprays and treats as needed and always use a calming pheromone plug in. Owners are also welcome to send anything they'd like to make their dog feel at home. Every dog also gets one of my monthly promotional items and a toy or bag of treats to take home. My drop in services are not based on number of pets, but are based on the amount of time it requires me to take care of your dog or cats needs. Each visit will be a minimum of 30 minutes and each drop in visit is billed in 30 minute intervals opposed to number of pets.

“Karie is a wonderful pet sitter! I know that when I leave town, my (very emotional) rescue dog is with the best! Karie goes above and beyond "basic"- at one point even having had to hand-feed my dog to make sure his nutritional needs were met because he was experiencing some separation anxiety. Karie also provided updates while I was away with photos. I had peace of mind the entire week knowing my pet was being cared for and loved. Pet care is such a dilemma - honestly, I believe it's a huge reason why people opt out of pet ownership in the first place. You can't always take your dog, so what do you do? Karie is the answer! I”
