“Cydney took great care of Harper, was reliable and promptly communicated with me. She is a very kind and responsible person. I recommend her and will use her to watch Harper in the future.”

About: I took impeccable care of my English Mastiff for over 10 years. More recently I have found joy in pet sitting for other people's dogs and cats in their homes. I work remotely and have a lot of scheduling flexibility, especially on weekdays. I'm available to stay in your home with your pet during weekdays. My other work (accounting/finance & admin) is done remotely anywhere I have reliable WiFi. My availability on weekends is very limited. I provide a calm, steady energy and will stay with your pet(s) in your home so they can remain in a familiar environment. I love taking dogs on walks.
“Excellent communication and photo/video updates, very friendy and easy to work with. I liked that 'Hina was the only dog they boarded; other places I saw had multiple dogs, rotating often, which concerned me. Thanks Amy, we'll be back!”

“As always, Nancy did an excellent job caring for Otis while we were on vacation! Kept us updated with pictures and communicated as often as needed. I love how Otis greets her like family now and was so happy to see her when she arrived! We are so happy to have found her!”

“Jillian was wonderful! I always hate leaving my pup, but she sent lots of photos and kept us updated on how he was doing. She played and ran around with him. She also was very clean and the house looked great when we returned. I’ll definitely be having Jillian again in the future!”

About: Everyday I care for over thirty livestock animals alongside my mother and our dog, Dottie. I have also grown up my whole life with and around dogs. From animals as young as birth, I am able to help in caring for all different types of furry friends! I'm currently working full-time, but my work schedule is fairly easy to work around. I am able be with your animal until about noon, making enough time for a walk and some play time, and be back around early evening, just in time for dinner and another walk. I also have two days completely free for them! If needed, I am able to provide a safe, fenced in space for your animal at my own residence. There is a good amount of land for them to run around and get out their zoomies.
“I can definitely say that after being gone for eight days I was very appreciative for what I came back to. I've had my challenges with the dogs so for someone to come in a take over for a week seemed a little daunting however Yolanda came through with 5 stars... I have no doubt the dogs were well taken care of as all instructions left were meticulously followed and the dogs were definitely well cared for not to mention the house was cleaner then I left it. There's nothing better then coming back from a vacation with well taken care of dogs. Would definitely recommend for worry free dog sitting”
“Paola was great with my husky, Athena. I thought she'd miss me while I was away but Paola had won her heart:) She was really good about sending me pictures during my trip and communicating as needed.”

About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life—everything from Pomeranians and Shih Tzus to Rottweilers and Great Pyrenees—and I’m a cat person, too! I’m now based in Nevada City with my Shih Tzu, Radio, and would love to continue building connections in the community. I work remotely for a professional pet sitting company in Nashville, TN, where I also serve as the Event Manager for Rescue Puppy Yoga. Previously, I was part of the team at The Farmer’s Dog, where I gained extensive knowledge about canine health and nutrition. While my primary role is administrative and remote, I regularly provide dog walking and pet sitting services in Nashville as well. I’m Pet CPR certified and hold multiple FetchFind certifications. I’ve been working in the pet industry for as long as I can remember, starting as a dog walker and pet sitter in my early teens. Over the years, I’ve built my client base through both word of mouth and professional pet care companies, gaining well-rounded experience and a deep commitment to quality care. Pet care is all I do! My small dog Radio just has to fit into that routine as well if house sitting. I have 24/7 availability unless I am booked. I’m available to care for your pet for as much as you need given the scope of each service. While highly unlikely, the longest I would allow a pet to be alone is 4 hours when pet sitting.
About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life. We currently have 4 cats, 2 dogs, and many reptiles. I love all animals so much! X I worked for Sammie’s friends for over 1 year. I started as a volunteer dog walker and helped with everything. I love animals so much. I am willing to help with anything. I have a fenced yard and I am willing to come to your house and walk your dogs and play with cats. I can also go to the dog park if that’s something you’re interested in.
“Mel was incredible! Her care for our dogs was beyond what we could have hoped - she exceeded in every aspect. Responsive and proactive communication with photos and updates. I would highly recommend her and will absolutely use her again. She treated our girls and home with the utmost respect and was truly a pleasure to work with. You would not be disappointed (rather spoiled) with the care she provides. Thank you Mel! Ravioli, Biscotti love you!!! ❤️”
“Jordan was great!! He was patient with our neurotic dog and made sure she had a safe space when she was ready to interact. He followed all the petcare procedures for the dog, cat, and chickens. He watered the plants and left the house clean! We loved the pictures he sent us of the critters and the ongoing communication while we were gone. Definitely recommend him and would use him again!”

About: I grew up with animals- dogs, cats, fish and even a bird! I have experience with small, medium and large dogs, and extra specialty with working breeds like Australian Shepherds. I have done puppy and senior care, and am confident with 2 or more animals at a time. At the moment I have open availability! Excited to take your pups on walks during the day, or hang out together at night. I am interested in house stays as well as daily walks, with some options to board at my home. I love to go on trail walks around town, including your animal in all my daily little tasks, and talking to them like they understand me (and they do). I am a big fan of play and will definitely be throwing toys around for them to chase, or taking to a dog park to get their wiggles out. My animals are my family and I will treat your loved ones just the same!
About: Offering a safe home away from home, compassionate care, and peace of mind for pet owners is something that all pet sitters should be offering. I go far beyond this standard providing both care and training. Since I was a child, dogs and cats have gravitated toward me and I've always enjoyed their companionship; you can almost always find me with at least one dogs around. It's never been an unruly mass of teeth and paws though; I've always taken the time to teach my furry friends to walk on leash, to have immediate recall, to be polite in kitchen, and to use their voices kindly. I do the same with every animal that I am given care of, gently coaching them to be civil, furry companions while showering them with love. I am currently working from home and set my own schedule. I have a set daily morning and evening walk which your pup(s) will join. During the day, you pup(s) will have company of two dogs, three cats and plenty of pets from me. On weekends we go on adventure hikes. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company during the day. I have crates, leashes, grooming tools and home made dog beds for all pet care needs.

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I run a 501(c)(3) dog rescue, regularly transport dogs, care for puppies, seniors, and special-needs dogs, administer medications, work on basic training, leash manners, and provide structured, loving care tailored to each pet’s needs. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule because animals are already a central part of my daily life. I work from home and plan my days around feeding schedules, walks, medications, enrichment, and individualized care. This flexibility allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present for each pet. I have 2 600+ feet plus areas for dogs to run and play. We have a building for them to sleep cozy, clean and safe.
About: I enjoy having a couple dogs with my little dog in our house. We have a sweet little home in downtown Grass Valley and a great yard. We're right next to memorial Park and we go for walks around town. I will not do pet sitting without a meet & greet several days in advance. Primarily I want to know (1) training methods used, (2) your dog is up to date on vaccines & whether it has any health concerns, (3) leash manners , (4) the dog's general personality (nervous? confident? laid back? goofball?), (5) whether the dog has ever bitten anyone, (6) how the dog reacts to being told "no" (is your dog stubborn as a mule? or submissive?), (7) is the dog a barker, digger, jumper, or houdini? I'm usually at home spendimg most of my time with my fur family. Gardening and neighborhood walks are what we enjoy the most when not traveling. We have a very calm and easy lifestyle. It's just myself and my 13-year-old terrier mix. We enjoy having another dog or two in the house. We eat healthy as I fix Coco her own pup loaf

“Cynthia was a wonderful house sitter and took extremely good care of our home and animals. We were so happy to have found her and would absolutely let her watch our home and animals again.”
“Simone had great communication and was amazingly flexible with our timing needs - during a holiday weekend on top of that! Having peace of mind while away was much appreciated. She was respectful and easy going. Would definitely have her back to watch my mischievous pittie anytime!”

Nevada City pet parents share their Rover experiences
Cydney G. provided house sitting and care for our two dogs for the first time last weekend. Everything about the experience was top=notch. from our first phone conversation to schedule a Meet and Greet visit, to our first in-person meeting, to the weekend of the sit, to follow=up. Cydney was cheerful, polite, friendly, and professional. The questions she asked demonstrated good understanding of canine behavior. I immediately felt comfortable with the way she interacted with my dogs and how they responded to each other. She arrived on time, communicated with me by text during the visit (including a cute photo), left the house in great shape and left me a lovely note, The dogs were happy to see me but clearly had had a great visit with Cydney. I highly recommend her and definitely will book her services again.
Ashley was communicative and quickly responsive as well as proactive about reaching out to us while she stayed with our pets. Despite a power outage and brief illness, she took amazing care of our dogs, and they fell totally in love with her. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants peace of mind abt their pets while they travel.

Our animals (and us too) feel spoiled when Louisa is taking care of them and our home when we are away. We know they are well tended to and loved. She sends photos that capture how happy our 4-legged family members are. And, the house is cleaned when we arrive home.
Mia did a great job taking care of our two bulldogs and our house. One of our dogs requires a multi-stage introduction process, and she was very understanding of that and made herself available so that we could successfully leave and enjoy our trip. She was great about communicating with us throughout the process as well. We will definitely use her again in the future.
