“This was my first time using Rover and Jennifer made the process very smooth and easy and kinda just let me relax on my trip. I felt very safe having her watch my 2 cats. Definitely recommend!”

“The cats seemed happier and less stressed this trip. Appreciated extra help with bringing in a package and garbage can without being asked. She sent pictures of all 3 kittys in some of their favorite but hard to find hiding places, even under our bed. Instead of leaving the keys under the front door mat where someone might find them before we got home, she messaged me she'll drop them off when we're home. I would highly recommend Kylee if you're looking for someone who gives the best pet care but who also cares about things not necessarily expected of her.”

“Kate was great! This was a short notice booking and she answered the call with flying colors. The dogs liked her very much and were very relaxed around her. Will not hesitate to book with her again.”

“Bryan and Ginger were an absolute blessing. They took such amazing care of our baby, Nancy. I was told everyday how she was doing and what they did and got multiple photos of my girl. Nancy was always happy in all the photos and in perfect heath upon my return. We will without a doubt be booking with them again and highly recommend them to those with animal care needs. Thank you both so very much.”

“Kristina is first rate! She listened to our pups needs and went over and beyond to show them love. She played with them, shared a photo, and gave them extra care during her visit. I will definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner my whole life. We’ve recently relocated for my husbands job and I can officially stay home. My dog is friendly and gets along with any dog! I would love for him to get to play with others while I get to help others as I know finding pet care can be hard! I’m a mom of two school-aged kiddos! Aside from our quick 10-minute school drop-off and pick-up, along with the occasional errand, I’ll be home with your pups for the majority of the day. They’ll get lots of love, attention, and companionship while they’re in my care! I have a fenced-in yard and a spacious two-story home, making it a great fit for dogs of all sizes, including larger breeds. I also have an extremely friendly dog who is older but still loves to play! If needed, I’m more than happy to keep the dogs separated to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy.

“Marina was so good with Ridge! I really appreciate the extra care and attention she put into the service, giving him walks, playtime and cuddles. She also was very diligent with the bites about his eating and bathroom habits - and provided lots of cute photos! I really felt peace of mind knowing our doggy was in such good hands.”

“I've used Alexis three times now, including a recent week-long trip, and she's been consistently excellent. She's reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about my cat's well-being. I always come home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and have complete peace of mind while I'm away. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy cat sitter.”

About: 🐾 Hi! I’m Elizabeth, an experienced at-home dog sitter with 25+ years of caring for dogs. We’re located just 10 minutes from downtown Tucson (Marana area near Cortaro & I-10), in a quiet neighborhood on a peaceful cul-de-sac — no busy streets or loud noise. We’re open 365 days a year, including holidays and last-minute bookings. Whether it’s just one night or 100 (I’ve actually had a dog guest stay that long!), your dog will be treated like family every step of the way. After 11+ years on Rover, many of my clients return again and again. ⸻ 🐶 What Makes our Care Special: • Dogs lounge on soft couches with blankets and pillows. • Daily updates and photos. • Secure backyard with a covered porch and a 10x10 Astroturf sun patch for lounging. • 6-foot fences and a deadbolt gate on the front porch for extra safety. • Someone is almost always home (rarely gone more than an hour). • Four trained and experienced adults in the home = lots of attention, playtime, and professional care. • Extensive experience with medical needs, including medication administration and injections. ⸻ 🐕🐕🐕🌟 A Few Important Notes: 🐕🐕🐕 • I only host a few dogs at a time—usually 3-4, occasionally up to 6 during peak holidays—to ensure personalized care. 🐕🐕🐕 MEET-AND-GREETS 🐕🐕🐕 For the comfort and routine of the dogs already in my care, I do not schedule separate in-person meet-and-greets. I’m happy to offer a virtual meet-and-greet beforehand though. On the day of the booking clients are able to tour the home and yard during drop-off. We can go over feeding, medication and playtime/sleep routines then as well. • Dogs must be house-trained (unless under 12 months). • Even if my calendar shows unavailable, feel free to reach out — I may still have space for the right fit! ⸻ ✨ With 600+ five-star reviews, a lot of my guests become repeat clients. Once you’re one of them, you’ll receive first-priority booking — and your pup will feel right at home. I If you think your dog might be a great fit, I’d love to hear from you! – Elizabeth 🐶💛 Dogs are part of our daily life here. With someone always home, they enjoy constant care, indoor or outdoor play (weather permitting), comfort, attention, and plenty of companionship. Dogs here are always safe, loved, and never alone. They get lots of attention, playtime, and a low-stress calm, homey space to relax in. We have bowls of water out at all times.
“I had adopted a German Shepherd, and 4 days later asked Sophia if she could watch him for 7+ days. She took on this immense responsibility with such class, kindness, warmheartedness, and with a true desire to make his experience the best she could give him. Her communication was second to none by responding quickly to texts (within the hour), making time for FaceTimes, sending pictures, and updating frequently as asked. She made my mind and travel experience at ease knowing that she was taking great care of my brand new baby boy. Mind you, this was all over the Christmas holiday. Her sacrifice during the holidays was incredibly appreciated and I would recommend Sophia to anyone who needs comfort knowing that their animal is in wonderful hands.”

“Fiona did a great job taking care of our German Shepherd. She stayed on schedule and provided daily feedback and photos during her visits. Reliable and treated our pet with care- highly recommend.”

“We absolutely love Thomas!! Jingle learned so much when he is with her. Thomas is very patient and explains everything he is doing while he is working with jingle. I would highly recommend him if you have any concerns over training your new puppy or even a dog that's a little bit older”
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Nelson
This was my first time working with Jen and she was so lovely!!! My pets adored her, her updates and communication were thorough, and she just had a really nice way of working with all of us. I very much felt that she cared about all of our experiences, that she was knowledgeable about animal behavior, and overall a thoughtful individual. I highly recommend Jen.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
