About: I started taking care of livestock at age 9. I have been a volunteer with the Arizona Border Collie Rescue since 2022 ,I foster and transport. I have 3 Border Collies , 2 of them are rescues. One of my BC has epilepsy so I have 7 years experience with this disease. Senior dogs are my favorite but I love them all. My dogs are my world their needs always come first . I would love to meet you and your pet(s) , I can come play , take them for a walk, just drop in to give meds or meet any of their other needs. I also have a lifetime of livestock experience. I work part time and have reliable transportation , so I have plenty of flexibility. My epileptic dog gets her pills at 6am and 6 pm , all other times I’m available. First I would like to meet you and your pet(s) so we can get to know each other. I treat all animals just like my own. I can provide references from the rescue and neighbors if requested.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have plenty of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, basic routines, and giving pets lots of love and attention while their owners are away. I’m a stay-at-home mom looking to earn a little extra income doing something I genuinely enjoy, and I understand how important it is to have someone dependable and trustworthy caring for a member of your family. I’m a stay-at-home mom, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m home throughout most of the day. This gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and schedule to help them feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I have a completely fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play, get some fresh air, and have plenty of room to move around. I’m happy to follow any feeding instructions, routines, walking preferences, or household rules you have in place. I’ll provide plenty of attention, affection, and supervision, and I’m always happy to send photos and updates so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“I've used Alexis three times now, including a recent week-long trip, and she's been consistently excellent. She's reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about my cat's well-being. I always come home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and have complete peace of mind while I'm away. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy cat sitter.”

“Absolutely great having Kylee take care of our cat. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals and it showed. She went above and beyond in her service and couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: I’ve owned a small poodle for 10 years and have extensive experience dog sitting for both small and large breeds. I’m an athlete who loves staying active, so I’m perfect for energetic pups and long walks. I also have professional training in correctional settings, which means I’m observant, patient, and very safety-focused. I treat every dog like family and prioritize consistency, structure, and love I currently work part time as a server and am on the path to graduate with my masters by the end of next year. I love pet sitting because it is a way for me to get out and be active. My house has a backyard with a doggie door and I really take into consideration the personality of the dog when planning my day. Some dogs like to chill and some like to go for runs or hikes, so I am adjustable to their schedules and preferences.
About: I've been house-sitting and dog-sitting for families in my neighborhood since I was a teenager, and it's something I've always genuinely enjoyed. Over the years, I've built lasting relationships with both pets and their owners, and many people continue to trust me because they know I'm reliable, responsible, and attentive. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so I do my best to make sure every dog feels comfortable, loved, and cared for while you're away. As a pet owner myself, I have three cats and a dog, so I understand the level of care, patience, and attention that pets need every day. Whether that means sticking to their routine, going on walks, playing, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet like they're part of my own family. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease and know they're in caring, trustworthy hands. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have pets of my own and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I currently work part-time as a nanny on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 AM to 3 PM, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care before and after work, as well as throughout the rest of the week. As the owner of three cats and a dog, caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life. I'm used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box maintenance, and making sure pets get the attention and companionship they need. Whether your pet prefers lots of activity or a calm, comforting presence, I have the time and flexibility to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I always strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for every pet in my care. In my home, pets have plenty of space to relax, play, and feel at ease. I have a fully fenced backyard, which provides a secure area for dogs to get exercise, play, and enjoy time outside under supervision. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free while their owners are away. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. My goal is to ensure that pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for, whether they're staying with me or I'm caring for them in their own home.

About: I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals of all kinds from energetic puppies to senior dogs, barn cats, and even livestock. That experience taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly in unexpected situations, and provide gentle, consistent care. I also picked up a lot of practical skills, including how to support animals through stress, illness, or injury. Whether your dog needs extra patience, a structured routine, or just some good old-fashioned love and playtime, I’ve got them covered. I truly understand animals and I treat every pet like part of the family. Caring for animals has always been part of my everyday life. Whether it’s early morning walks, playtime, or keeping a routine for feeding and medication, I naturally build my day around what pets need. I’m used to adjusting my schedule to fit each animal’s routine whether it’s a puppy who needs extra attention or a senior dog who needs a slower pace. Pet care isn’t just a task for me it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day. I follow each pet’s routine closely whether I’m in my home or yours. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs like meds or crate training. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in a clean and calm environment.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
