“We needed a last minute dog walker for our 1 year old Husky. Caitlyn was GREAT! I loved seeing all the pictures and updates. She even cleaned up a little of a mess that Nuna made. Definately will be using her again!!”

“Haleigh was so awesome in Cari g for ALL 3 of my babies! She is a god send. I have never used this app before and was skeptical at first but she eased all of my worries and concerns. She checked in with me multiple times and sent me videos and pics of my babies and took care of them as if they were her own. Will definitely be a returning customer and recommend her without any hesitation! Thanks again Haleigh🫶🏻🥰”

About: Hi! I've been fostering dogs from a local shelter for a little over 2 years. In that time, I've helped about 20 dogs find their forever families. There's been dogs in our home ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years, all with a different story. Abused, neglected, owner surrender, stray, court case holds, seniors, puppies, overweight, super skinny and anything else you can think of! I treated them all with empathy and showered them affection to earn their trust and love. Many of my former fosters come for visits while their owners are on vacation. Any pup that comes through my doors will be cared for and treated with respect, just like my fosters! I work at a school, so I'm currently on summer break. When school is in session, I work Monday to Friday 9-1, and I'm off evenings, weekends and holidays. I also work in the town in which I reside, so my commute is less than 5 minutes, meaning I'm close by! I have a fully fenced in yard, crates and dog beds in various sizes, bowls, blankets and mounds of toys. I'm also comfortable administering medication if needed.
“Britney checked in on our dog, who gets a little too excited when people visit, and she did great! She let her outside and then did whatever our dog wanted to do (even if it was to just get pets and plug tug of war). She updated us about the visit promptly. Will ask Britney to help us again in the future!”

About: I've taken care of many different types of pets for a large portion of my life. As friends and family have brought to my attention, I tend to attract animals big and small in a genuinely positive way. I'm currently in between jobs. I have a large amount of time in my week to spend with your fur baby. I'll be available to care for your little one for most of my day. I have 2 friendly cats in my home alongside an African Grey Parrot. My home is welcoming to all furry friends. I have a large unfenced yard with plenty of room to play and run.
“Anthony is amazing, the care and love he showed for Persi was amazing. All the camera shots were fantastic to get every time he visited. Even brought in our packages! 10 out of 10!”

“Shell has been so incredible with our very special pups who have different behavior quirks. she takes them out separately to make sure everyone has a safe visit and for that i’m super grateful. it’s so hard to find someone to trust with your fur babies and i’m so glad i found shell. we will continue to use her services, 15/10 recommend !”

“Jillian did a good job taking care of the kitty with drop-ins for a few days. Fulfilled all the requests we had of her perfectly. The cat was happy! We would not hesitate to hire her again.”

“Monica has been so sweet, and willing to come on last minute visit requests. She goes above and beyond anyone I’ve met, even voluntarily cleaning up puppy messes or accidents he might have gotten in to after breaking out of crates. She always keep me updated and sends the cutest photos. So thankful for her, and love to continue my pups play time with her.”

About: I am a HUGE dog lover. I have experience with all kinds of dogs! Friends and family love and trust me to give their fur babies the love and care they need while they are away! My hours throughout the week vary as I work in behavior analysis and have sessions at different times each day! However, I am typically done in the afternoon and available every night! I have a big fenced in backyard! I just recently lost my amazing fur baby so I am ready to give your fur baby all the love and care I put into my own!

About: I’ve been caring for my own dogs since I was 12 years old and have years of hands-on experience with daily feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and basic grooming. I’m attentive, patient, and comfortable following detailed care instructions to make sure each dog feels safe and loved. I’m in class weekdays 9–4, but I’m fully available after 4 PM for walks, drop-ins, and playtime. I’m happy to work around my class schedule and your dog’s routine. I care for dogs in their own homes so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I closely follow all care instructions, keep routines consistent, and prioritize safety during walks, feeding, and playtime. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and always communicate updates to ensure peace of mind.

“Tamikia did a fantastic job taking care of our cat while we were away. She came at the scheduled time and did all that was asked of her and more. She made us feel very comfortable leaving our cat in her care. We enjoyed receiving the daily updates and photos while we were away. We would definitely hire her again!”

“Gloria did a fantastic job with my 2 cats while I was away on a bicycling vacation. She sent pictures and kept me updated on her arrival and departure times. I will definitely use her services again”

“Madeline is amazing and very compassionate! Took great care of my senior pups. My one senior really can’t leave the house anymore so we did drop in visits. Madeline put us at ease by sending updates and photos every time she checked in. Definitely will use her again! I’ve used Rover twice before and she is the best!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - National Park
Tori is all you would hope to have in a pet sitter. She clearly loves animals and after several visits to my home at this point- I always come back to relaxed and obviously well taken care of kitties and doggies. She responds quickly and she has even dealt with some unexpected situations. For example- my cat broke a glass cake stand and she cleaned it up without complaint and with great care so that the animals would not get cut. I'm very thankful for her and so are my pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
