Haleigh was so awesome in Cari g for ALL 3 of my babies! She is a god send. I have never used this app before and was skeptical at first but she eased all of my worries and concerns. She checked in with me multiple times and sent me videos and pics of my babies and took care of them as if they were her own. Will definitely be a returning customer and recommend her without any hesitation! Thanks again Haleigh🫶🏻🥰

Britney was the absolute best! We felt so comfortable leaving our pets in her hands. This was our first time ever using a pet sitter and was very satisfied with her services. We loved receiving pictures of our pets and knew they were being cared and loved for while we were away! I would definitely use Britney again! Thank you!!

Shell has been so incredible with our very special pups who have different behavior quirks. she takes them out separately to make sure everyone has a safe visit and for that i’m super grateful. it’s so hard to find someone to trust with your fur babies and i’m so glad i found shell. we will continue to use her services, 15/10 recommend !

Jo is an amazing animal lover. Such a gift for pet owners that need support. She was very communicative and sent me pics which really cheered me up while I was in the hospital. I would highly recommend Jo for any if your pet support needs. I could not be happier with the care my 4 dogs received. Until the next time Jo, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

About: I have always had a soft spot for puppies to seniors, all breeds of pooches. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, car rides to drive around, a special treat for a pup cup and playing fetch in the yard. I am comfortable with medications, baths/grooming, accidents and the endless dog kisses. I have 2 dogs myself (Rottweiler, and a King Charles Cavalier) who are very rambunctious and always keep me on my toes. I am currently available during the week, weekends and holidays. I am home and available for drop ins, long visits, dog-walks, boarding/overnight visits at your home. I do have a very large fenced in yard for dogs to play in. Multiple crate sizes for dogs and cats along with carriers. For cats- I have multiple cat trees in my home. I do have areas to seperate pets if needed in my 4 story home. Multiple food bowls, blankets and beds to keep everyone happy.

About: Hi! I've been fostering dogs from a local shelter for a little over 2 years. In that time, I've helped about 20 dogs find their forever families. There's been dogs in our home ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years, all with a different story. Abused, neglected, owner surrender, stray, court case holds, seniors, puppies, overweight, super skinny and anything else you can think of! I treated them all with empathy and showered them affection to earn their trust and love. Many of my former fosters come for visits while their owners are on vacation. Any pup that comes through my doors will be cared for and treated with respect, just like my fosters! I work at a school, so I'm currently on summer break. When school is in session, I work Monday to Friday 9-1, and I'm off evenings, weekends and holidays. I also work in the town in which I reside, so my commute is less than 5 minutes, meaning I'm close by! I have a fully fenced in yard, crates and dog beds in various sizes, bowls, blankets and mounds of toys. I'm also comfortable administering medication if needed.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was young. I have 3 dogs of my own. All very friendly. Two more matured ladies and one younger with a bit more energy. I also have grooming experience if requested. I work Monday- Friday from 7am-4pm but i am home the rest of the time. I go for walks around the neighborhood, to the Timber creek dog park or even play in the backyard. I have a fenced in yard, plenty of room inside to run and play, and a nice neighborhood to go on walks. Both of my dogs are crated during the day but yours doesn’t need to be. I allow them to roam all day when I’m home and at night.

This was my first time leaving my dog with someone unknown. I was totally against putting her in a kennel as she has never been in that type of environment ….(she’s 11 years old). I couldn’t have picked a better person to watch my baby. Deanna is absolutely fantastic! Not only is she reliable and trustworthy, but she always made herself available in case my scheduled changed. Rylee became quick friends with Deanna and adores her! Deanna consistently sent pictures and updates of their walks and Rylees general well being. This provided such comfort and peace of mind. Deanna went above and beyond. She watered my plants and swept up after coming in and out from walks. She even stayed later than she was supposed to in order to make Rylee feel comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Deanna. I WILL DEFINITELY hire Deanna again. Jeanne, Mark, and Rylee 🩷

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 4,423 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across National Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in National Park. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
