Jennifer has been great with Buster. She’s taken him on long walks where he can gather lots of smells. His pancreatitis is currently acting up so he’s in a bland diet and she’s been great supporting that. I definitely recommend her and will use her again.

About: I have always had a soft spot for puppies to seniors, all breeds of pooches. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, car rides to drive around, a special treat for a pup cup and playing fetch in the yard. I am comfortable with medications, baths/grooming, accidents and the endless dog kisses. I have 2 dogs myself (Rottweiler, and a King Charles Cavalier) who are very rambunctious and always keep me on my toes. I am currently available during the week, weekends and holidays. I am home and available for drop ins, long visits, dog-walks, boarding/overnight visits at your home. I do have a very large fenced in yard for dogs to play in. Multiple crate sizes for dogs and cats along with carriers. For cats- I have multiple cat trees in my home. I do have areas to seperate pets if needed in my 4 story home. Multiple food bowls, blankets and beds to keep everyone happy.

About: I've lived and taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I was born into an animal lover family, and over the years I have pet sat for friends, family, and aqaintances. I've worked in a doggy day car for a short period as well. I'm currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to help out with your pups! I only work about three days a week and will still be able to take care of your pup on those days! Every animal is different, whatever the owner wants done will be done. I will meet each pet with grace and patience, and I will be happy doing so.

About: I have experience with larger dogs, small dogs, and cats as well. I help cater to any special needs or requests you may have such as administering medicine, special diets, and keeping you updated on their well being. Good for quick walks or staying with your pet overnight. I worked in everyday in Brooklyn, NY as a dog walker/pet sitter from 2019 to 2023. I have since then have been traveling around as a pet sitter for the last two years in-between taking care of some important family business. I have grown up raising German Shepherds all of my life and love to know that I am helping someone's day out by being able to care for their pet while they are not able to. I am currently available for any time and can even travel to you if needed for extended overnight stays. Your pet's needs come first for me. I will care for your pet at your home and follow the routine they are used to. Whatever makes them most comfortable is how I will take good care of them.

About: Greetings pet pawrents!! My name is Rin I’m a Jersey local dog handler and trainer! My son Goku, local dogs, and dogs at work experience (dog hotels, walking, training, boarding) are motive to keep doing what I do. Dog handling is care out of love. Luci and Goku are my dear children that I revolve my daily routine around. Working at a pet hotel, babysitting for friends and neighbors who have pets, dog walking, dog training, animal bathing, and pet check-ins. Are all apart of my daily life! Caring and nurturing animals everyday are just steps towards my dreams of being an exotic vet. my dog loves other dogs especially since he goes to work with me and hangs out with dogs! If I came to a clients home and they preferred it private my dog would stay home with my roommates.

About: I have had a dogs my whole life, and they are what brings me the most joy in life. My last dog Henry passed away almost 2 years ago and since then I have been fostering, which is super rewarding. I have also been volunteering with PAWS for 5 years, and am there every Friday morning to help care for the pups. I have had experience with all kinds of dogs from 80lb Pitties to teeny tiny Chihuahuas, from strays who are terrified when they arrive at the shelter to ones that have boundless energy and love on everyone. My camera roll in my phone is pretty much consumed with pictures of my shelter pups, who I feel so honored to be able to be part of their journey to finding their forever homes. It would be a privilege to add your fur baby to the long list of dogs that I have had the pleasure of having in my life :) I am a real estate agent, so I make my own schedule, and can easily fit caring for your pup around my showings and office time. I will be more than happy to travel to your home and spend some time with your pup. I can walk them, have yard time with them, play fetch or tug of war, feed them, pet them, and just generally spend some time with them while they wait for their humans to come home. If you have extra things that need to get done such as brushing, nail clipping, medicine to give etc, I can take care of that as well. Basically whatever you need done to make your pet feel comfortable and safe, I can handle. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of your pup's routine.

I am an animal lover and have had dogs my whole life. As well as caring for my own dogs, I have lots of experience watching family and friends dogs while they are away. You can go away knowing your pets and your home are in good hands! I will love your dogs as if they were my own and will give endless tummy rubs. I know it’s important for your pet to feel loved and cared for while you are on a vacation, or just an overnight trip so that’s why I started doing rover. I love sending pictures/videos and sending you updates just so you know they are having a great time and are comfortable while you are away. I can start as soon as possible and have no problem traveling. I hope to hear from you soon! Yours Truly, Danielle

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your National Park. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in National Park. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
