About: I've taken care of many different types of pets for a large portion of my life. As friends and family have brought to my attention, I tend to attract animals big and small in a genuinely positive way. I'm currently in between jobs. I have a large amount of time in my week to spend with your fur baby. I'll be available to care for your little one for most of my day. I have 2 friendly cats in my home alongside an African Grey Parrot. My home is welcoming to all furry friends. I have a large unfenced yard with plenty of room to play and run.

“Sarah warmly welcomed Bailey into her home. And he enjoyed meeting her 3 Beagle “cousins”. Sarah sent lots of pictures and texts throughout the day. Bailey come home exhausted and satisfied.”

“Nicole saved us when my sitter cancelled last minute. Meeko and Eevee were totally comfortable with her and she sent pictures as they settled in and on their walk. They had a great time. We would definitely pick her next time we are local!”

“I was really nervous about leaving my 6 pound chihuahua with a new person while I went to work during the day. With 3 of 4 legs not working, and a weak bladder, Pinky is quite fragile. Her stay with Madeline was wonderful. She coaxed her to eat, separated her from all dogs except her little terrier, and was forgiving of Pinky’s incontinence. While I hope tomorrow at Pinky’s neurologist visit we can get some answers and Pinky will be strong enough to be left alone after the holidays, if we need daycare again we will definitely be back.”
“Barthalomew was super flexible and helpful with my dog Pumpkin. She had a great time with him and his dog. He was also responsive and easy to coordinate with. Will be using his services again”

“Deena was very accommodating and good with my dog. This was my first time using Rover and she made the experience great! She took care of my little guy!!! Thank you”

“Alex was very responsive and able to accept a last minute request. He sent pictures as promised and Rosie was calm and happy when we picked her up. We will definitely use Alex again.”

“Chris has taken care of Pinto while I was away traveling. He did an amazing job, i didn’t have to worry even for one moment. He took care of her so well, and I would recommend him to anyone with a pet!”

“Samantha did a great job taking care of our dog during a last minute family manner. She provided feedback during our dog's visit and would recommend her for any future requests.”

“Lauren was great with Roxie! She was kind enough to help us out with short notice and made Roxie feel like she was right at home. Roxie is a senior pup with special needs”
About: I’ve owned and cared for cats, dogs, fish, rodents and reptiles for more than 45 years. I would be happy to share the love with your furry (or otherwise) family members too. I currently have a sheepadoodle that loves other dogs and people, so he would love to have a playmate to come and take walks and spend time with us. I currently work from home so I have plenty of freedom to spoil all the pets in my care. I do look after my 3 year old grandson sometimes so getting along with children would be an important quality if your pet should come to stay with me. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly sheepadoodle that gets along with both dogs and cats. We love to go on walks too.

I also have my sister who can helps me watch them while I’m away! I have over three years of hands-on experience caring for my own poodle, whom I raised from the time he was 3 months old. Although he currently lives with my family overseas, raising him taught me the patience, consistency, and responsibility that puppies need. I'm comfortable with feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and following each pet's routine to ensure they receive attentive, loving care. I’m a Temple University student who is studying Biology under pre-med track. My class schedule is flexible throughout the week, which allow me to make time for pet care and work with different scheduling needs. “I can’t express enough how amazing Angie has been with my dog Goldie. I have booked two longer stays with her, one being 10 days, the longest i’ve been away from her since i’ve had her. Since Goldie has spent time with Angie, she has fallen in love with her and now when I have long work days I have Goldie stay with Angie for the day knowing she’ll be much happier and have a little vacay day.”

“I needed a sitter on very short notice, and Zyi (sorry if I spelled your name wrong 😓) was incredibly accommodating! She was quick to respond to messages, kept me updated throughout the stay, and made me feel completely at ease. My dog is also on medication, and Zyi was very attentive, making sure to double-check all of the instructions with me. It was clear she genuinely cared about my dog’s well-being and comfort. I had a great experience and would absolutely book with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Erin was great! We decided to do a last minute trip to Philadelphia and she was able to accommodate us. She was in contestant communication and provided multiple updates throughout the day. I highly suggest using her! Our boys came home happy and tired after a full day of play! We will use her again the next time we are in the area.”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
