About: I have owned dogs my entire life and absolutely adore them. We lost our two babies within months of each other and I miss them terribly. I would love to spend some time with other doggies. I work part-time so have a lot of flexibility. I’m happy to drop in or take your dog(s) for a walk. I’m happy to also just hang out with them. Unfortunately my two doggies are no longer with me but I miss taking care of a dog so I would love to be able to help someone out.
“Elaine has been amazing with our dog, Jax! He’s usually pretty shy, but he warmed up to her so quickly. It’s clear she really understands dogs and takes her time to make them feel comfortable. She’s reliable, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We’re so glad we found her!”

About: I’m a stay at home mom with too many years experience caring for dogs and puppies to count! Our home is a dog’s dream vacation. We have a friendly dog who loves company, two small kids who adore playing with pups, and a spacious fenced in yard perfect for romping around. Your dog won’t just be looked after—they’ll be part of our family while you’re away. I am a stay at home mom of two elementary school kids , so my schedule is pretty flexible and gives me time to show your sweet pups all the attention and love they need. I have a spacious fenced in yard where your pups can run around and play in. It’s my goal to make your dog feel as loved and safe as they do at home.

I have been trained in dog behavior, temperament, and care. I have a lot of experience with providing dogs and other pets with the proper care they deserve. I love all kinds of animals and want to provide the best care for your pets. I am currently not working so I have lots of available time to provide visits and care for your pets. I am more available during the daytime but can do evening visits as well. I cannot provide care in my own home but I am very open and willing to provide care in my clients home. I love and care about routines so any routine your pet needs to follow I will be able to provide that in my clients home.

I’m a pet owner myself so I understand the importance of knowing they aren’t just pets- they are family, which is why it is important for you to find someone you trust to care for them when you are away…and I can help! •Focus on safety •Routine Consistency (feeding, house rules, walking) As a graduate student, my schedule allows me to be available during those crucial hours when your furry friend needs a potty break and fresh air most. Your furry friend’s safety is my absolute priority. As a student I’m used to high responsibility and attention to detail. I know routine change can be stressful for pets, so I focus on creating a calm, predictable environment.
“Diane was great and really took care of my dog Timber on his walk. She was very communicative and I felt very comfortable and knew I had nothing to worry about while I was at work - Thank You!”

About: I’ve walked dogs since high school! I have also volunteered at an animal shelter for the passed 2 years taking care of a variety of different sized breeds. I have also been a vet assistant at clinic since September! I’m currently in college and working part time but have more time on the weekends and to do overnight pet care if needed! I also have some time during the week and will be more available this summer. In a clients home, my attention would be on the dog! I would not let them be outside unsupervised, and would strictly follow the instructions given by the owner.
“Lisa is a wonderful with our newest four legged family member! She is always on time and he loves when she arrives!! We were very lucky to have found her and count our blessings!”

Jessica came a couple days early to meet the dogs, and get instructions. I found her to be outgoing and personable. We hired her for 2 walks and had her feed our boys as well. I received photos and updates of her arrival, everything went as planned. I would highly recommend Jessica and wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again!

Ariadne has gone above and beyond for my pup and I. She is punctual, communicative and flexible! She stays a bit after the walk to make sure my pup is hydrated and settled before she leaves. She even brought her own bowl for his walk! I went from one or two walks, to hiring her full-time. Amazing!!

If you're looking for a dedicated and compassionate dog walker, Abby is the perfect choice! She has done an incredible job taking care of our three fur babies. Her communication with us has been excellent; she keeps us updated with photos and messages, which gives us peace of mind. It's evident that she goes above and beyond to ensure our dogs are happy and well-cared for. We couldn't be more grateful for her services. I highly recommend Abby to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring dog walker. Your pets will be in great hands! 🐾

I’d recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet.

We needed a walker last minute and so glad we found Armin! He is communicative, punctual, and kind. He was immediately great with my Husky mix and has now become my go-to when we need a dog walker. He is very flexible, responds quickly, and provides detailed updates for every walk. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
