I work a remote job from home so my schedule is flexible. My husband and I currently have one 5 year old dog who is the light of our lives. We also regularly help my parents with their 16 year old dog and two cats.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe in paying attention to pets’ needs and how they communicate them. This includes understanding what might make them nervous and what strategies can be implemented to help them feel more comfortable. This also includes regular communication with owners to provide reassurance to them (and their pets)!

Information Caren F. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, including any potential limits on exercise. It’s also helpful to know if there are things they don’t like — such as pets in a certain area of the body or triggers on walks (like other dogs) that we need to be aware of. It’s also helpful to know what they love! What’s their favorite toy? Where in the home do they feel most comfortable? If there are multiple pets, what is their dynamic? All of these will help me know your pet better and make them more comfortable.
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood are a great way to stimulate your dog and explore new places. There are also great indoor activities I like to do with dogs (and cats if they’re interested) like hide and seek, playing with toys, practicing basic commands, and snuffle activities if that’s something your dog is into.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Caren! As a dog mom myself, I know the importance of having someone trustworthy, communicative, experienced, and loving to care for your pets. I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes (from Yorkies to Bernies and anything in between), as well as cats (single or multiple). I also have experience with seniors and even super seniors, as well as administering medications like pills, liquids, drops, and insulin shots. I look forward to helping your pets feel loved and cared for (and to sending you lots of pics of them)!

Reviews

Caren is highly responsive and reliable. Clearly an animal lover. She is our favorite dog walker.

Caren was quick to respond and very attentive to our pup. A true dog lover and very responsible and reliable. Highly recommend and will use again.

Caren is the best and always takes great care of our boys. She is flexible, always goes above and beyond and makes sure to always communicate and keep us updated. Awesome!

Caren was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond during her stay. Her circumstances changed after we booked and she did everything she could to ensure that she didn’t leave us hanging. It worked out and what we learnt about her in the process was that she is someone who is conscientious, trustworthy and will do what she can to make your pets (and you) comfortable. We will be using her again and have already booked her for regular walks.
