“Diane was great and really took care of my dog Timber on his walk. She was very communicative and I felt very comfortable and knew I had nothing to worry about while I was at work - Thank You!”

About: I love spending time and caring for pets! While I am new to professional pet sitting/dog walking apps, I have really enjoyed walking dogs for friends, and I do have more than 1 and a half years of experience in childcare to bring to the table - one of which I was working with a special needs child. Working with children has made me incredibly patient, attentive, and nurturing. I am excited to bring the same level of care to your pets and gain more experience. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! My schedule is very flexible during the week. I can work Monday to Friday all hours of the day and occasionally on weekends, some mornings on Saturdays and some evenings on Sundays. I will make sure to keep a good eye on your pet in your home and make sure they are well fed, hydrated, and happy.

About: I have been pet sitting since I was in 6th grade, and have been trusted to care for the animals of many families. I have the most experience with cat sitting - both indoor and outdoor - but have taken care of dogs many times as well as had a dog of my own for four years! I am adaptable to any needs your pet might have, as I was used to allergies, injury care, and high excitability with my own family dog. I have loved animals all my life and would love to provide any care possible, for any type of pet! I am a college student on break who currently does not have a job, so my days are very available for pet care! I have reliable transportation and will be able to do multiple visits per day. I provide attentive pet care, and follow any and all instructions very well so your pet can have a great time while you are away! I always make time to stay with your pet for some extra time past just being fed or walked, so that they get all the attention they need.
“Debra is fantastic. Our little guy is new to the family so she had to deal with us acclimating to him at the same time she did. She keeps me updated on his progress and how her visits go. We're happy to have someone checking on him who treats him like their own!”

“Ray has been walking our dog for more than a month now. She is very punctual, communicates very well and takes pictures. She takes care of him like her own. She cleans him up after the walk, gives him a treat and ensure he is pampered a bit. Our dog loves Ray.”

About: I love animals! I’ve been a dog mom for 13 years, I’ve fostered over 25 dogs, & have experience cat sitting as well. I’m based in Cranford and grew up in Westfield so very familiar with the area. Animals are my happy place and I love babying and caring for them. As such, I’d like to offer my services to keep your pets happy with cuddles, playtime, and/or exercise while you’re away from them. I have a genuine connection with animals & would love to help them feel less lonely while you’re away. In addition, I can provide a quick dog massage towards the end of my stay if you think your pet would enjoy it! I’ve experienced all different energy levels and weight up to 80 pounds. I provide excellent service through my communication, following direction, timeliness, and genuine care of animals. I’m available on weekends any time. On weekdays, I’m able to drop in 5:30pm and after during weekdays. If you’re close to me, I can drop by early morning and/or lunch time. From being a foster mom to homeless dogs, I’m very cognizant of the safety of animals. I know dogs especially can be easily spooked so I ensure that I have a firm grip on the leash with it wrapped once around my wrist. My dog is a strong pitbull so I feel comfortable handling most large strong dogs. While I’m caring for pets, I talk to them like they’re babies! I’m very much guilty of having a baby voice, but I feel the animals love and respond to it!
About: I spent 10 years fostering dogs with a rescue group in Los Angeles and 15 years with my wonderful dog Staci who I miss dearly! I work a part-time retail job mostly in the evening and I’m typically free early and during the day while my kids are at school. Pet comfort is important and I am always respectful of their space in their own home or mine. I also have a large fenced in yard.
“Emily did an amazing job taking care of our dog and loving her as her own. She took the time to get to know our dog's needs and preferences, and communicated clearly and professionally. Thank you, Emily!”

About: I have a golden retriever and a cat at home, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. My dog has anxiety, so I’m especially patient, gentle, and experienced with pets who need extra reassurance. Whether your pet is shy, playful, or somewhere in between, I’m attentive to their individual needs and routines. I’m here to provide calm, loving care that keeps them happy and you worry-free. I’m currently on my summer break, so I have a very open and flexible schedule for pet care! I’m available most days and can easily adjust to your pet’s routine. In September, I’ll be starting my Master’s classes three times a week, but I’ll still have plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, or visits around my class schedule. For now, I’m fully available and excited to spend time with some furry friends! I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow your routines closely from feeding schedules and potty breaks to playtime, walks, or cuddle time. I’m very respectful of your space and always make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and calm in your absence.
“Elaine has been amazing with our dog, Jax! He’s usually pretty shy, but he warmed up to her so quickly. It’s clear she really understands dogs and takes her time to make them feel comfortable. She’s reliable, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We’re so glad we found her!”

About: My name is Ediza. I’m 33 years old, married, and have been living in the U.S. for 7 years. I recently graduated in Accounting in the U.S., and I also hold a degree in Business Administration from Brazil. I truly love animals. In my home country, I had two cats and one dog, and I have always been very hands-on with their care. I miss having pets around, but currently I live in an apartment in the U.S. where I’m not allowed to have animals—so pet sitting has become a wonderful way for me to stay connected with them. I am responsible, caring, patient, and very attentive to each pet’s needs. Because of my flexible schedule, I can provide reliable care, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and maintaining daily routines. I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable, just like they are at home.❤️🏠🐶🐾 I have a flexible part-time schedule, which allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care. I’ll keep my calendar updated with available dates and hours, and I’m happy to coordinate the best time that works for both of us! I don’t host pets in my home, but I’m happy to stay overnight or provide care at your place if needed. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and treat every pet with love, respect, and attention. You can count on me to maintain a safe, clean, and calm environment while you’re away.
“This is our second time using Alexandra and have been very pleased with the experience. She is reliable and communication has been great, and gives us peace of mind knowing our dogs are in good hands. We would highly recommend her!”

“We love Jaylene! Jaylene is always on time, communicative, super sweet, polite and emits positive vibes. She is amazing with my girl, Molly; Molly is always excited and happy for her walks.”

About: I love all animals and specifically dogs so much. I have my own dog named Missy who is the love of my life and I fostered my second baby, Annie, until she was adopted! If you trust me with your pet, I promise they will be in good hands! I am available all weekdays and most weekend days! I am available in the morning, afternoon, and night time! Let me know when works for you! Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I provide attentive, reliable care, follow all owner instructions, maintain secure leash handling, and ensure every walk is safe, fun, and tailored to your dog's needs.

Ariadne has gone above and beyond for my pup and I. She is punctual, communicative and flexible! She stays a bit after the walk to make sure my pup is hydrated and settled before she leaves. She even brought her own bowl for his walk! I went from one or two walks, to hiring her full-time. Amazing!!

Gianna is incredible! She is our Anakin’s absolute favorite. He is always so happy when we come home from work. Shes been with us on Anakin’s puppy journey from drop in visits to now walks and she’s great. Always gives updates, sends photos, and is so kind. 10/10 recommend!

Gabriel was great! We needed support with a last minute walk and she was able to accommodate. Gracie had an accident due to excitement and Gabriel made sure to clean it up for us while also being really communicative. She sent us pictures on the walk and made sure to return all of Gracie’s things to their original place. Your pup is in great hands!

Nicalina is truly the best dog walker we could ask for! She’s incredibly communicative, reliable, and always keeps us updated, which gives us so much peace of mind. Most importantly, our dog absolutely loves her, you can tell how excited he gets whenever she arrives. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with, and that makes all the difference. We feel so lucky to have found her!

We needed a walker last minute and so glad we found Armin! He is communicative, punctual, and kind. He was immediately great with my Husky mix and has now become my go-to when we need a dog walker. He is very flexible, responds quickly, and provides detailed updates for every walk. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
