About: Hi! I’m a passionate animal lover with a Bull Terrier of my own, plus experience caring for Beagles, Dobermans, and Chihuahuas. I offer dog sitting, walking, and horse care with plenty of love and attention. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, some quality company while you’re away, or your horse needs grooming and care, I’m here to help. I treat every animal like family and can’t wait to meet your furry and hoofed friends! I only work three days a week so I have plenty of extra time to care for your pets while you’re away or tied up at work. I keep pets safe and comfy at your place, follow your instructions, and stay alert on walks. You’ll always get updates so you can relax and know they’re in good hands.

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs and cats my entire life. There have always been at least three animals in my household since the day I was born. In addition to growing up with pets, I’ve also provided pet care and nanny services for several years. I’m comfortable working with animals of all ages—from energetic puppies to senior pets—and pride myself on being attentive, loving, and reliable I’m not currently working full-time, so I am quite flexible on both week days and weekends to care for your fur baby for short and long term periods. I commit to fostering a peaceful and tranquil environment in your home, just as I would in my own. I understand the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and loving atmosphere where your pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for at all times

“It is great working with Zoe! She has a very nice presence and knows how to build rapport with dogs. Super reliable, responsive and kind. Thank you!”

About: Your cats will love me! 😺 ----------------------- Howdy! I have had the great pleasure of loving and taking care of many different pets—horses, reptiles, fish, dogs, and cats. Don’t tell the other species, but I have a special connection with and fondness for felines. (When I was an infant, Isadora the Siamese spooned me while I slept in my cradle. So, I consider myself part kitten.) Cats are my first crush, but sadly, my doggos (senior chihuahuas with attitude) are not cat fans, so I’m seeking out other folks’ kitties to give some affection to. (BTW: My partner volunteers at Oakland Animal Services and fosters unhoused dogs, and most recently, bunnies! -- so, we are an animal rescue family.) I'm versed in pill giving, administering subcutaneous injections (insulin, etc), giving fluids; I also adore all my elder or special needs kittenz. I am highly responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented. I am COVID vaccinated. I provide photo updates, so you can relax and refuel! Another fun fact: Cat Sitting is a full time thing for me; I'm no fly-by-night operation, and I love what I do! I'm available weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. I live near Piedmont Avenue, with easy access to the surrounding neighborhoods. I prefer local, so I can walk, but I do have a vehicle and take my kitty-care most anywhere. From Grand Lake to Piedmont to the Avenue to Temescal and beyond (Rockridge & South Berkeley, I'm looking at you 😺)! Previously, I opened and owned an art framing & gallery space (Panorama, on Grand Avenue); was a commercial photographer; and was a bookseller -- I also currently freelance in the digital realm and pursue art making. If you are traveling for work or for holidays, or need a drop-in when you're not wfh, please reach out! >^•-•^< Any pets who are under my care get the same treatment I would hope for myself—patience, kindness, unconditional love, and acceptance. And, oh yeah, treats. :-)

“Just wanted to rave about Shawn! He was so communicative and responsible + took fabulous care with our energetic (+ not fully trained) 11-month old golden retriever. He popped over to the house to meet us + made sure that he had all bases covered. He let himself in when we were traveling out of town, took our puppy on walks, sent us videos + photos, fed our dog, and locked up. We felt fully comfortable that we were in good hands! Thank you, Shawn!”

About: Hi there! I’m new to Rover and excited to begin this journey of caring for your beloved dogs. I grew up in a dog-loving household and have been around them for as long as I can remember. They were my best friends growing up. I’ve been around many different breeds through my family and friends, so I understand that every dog has their own vibe, and I’ll always make sure they feel safe and loved with me :) I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule, which means I can give your pup plenty of attention throughout the day. I also live within walking distance of several parks, so your dog will enjoy lots of fresh air and fun outdoor walks with me. While my home doesn't have a backyard, I have cozy spots indoors for your pets to relax, play, and enjoy cuddles. We’re lucky to have several beautiful parks nearby, including Dracena Quarry Park, which is just a short walk away. It’s animal-friendly and the perfect spot for walks and outdoor playtime.

“Thank you, Sara!”

About: Hi! I’m Missy, a lifelong animal lover based in Oakland with years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles of all sizes and personalities. I've been my friends and family go-to person for dog/cat/house sitting for years. As a pet owner myself, I take great pride in my level of dog training utilizing positive reinforcement methods, high value treats, praise, or whatever makes your dog excited. I trained my dog from 8 weeks old and followed strict positive reinforcement training and he is a really good and obedient dog with great recall and many other tricks up his paw. I've had experience with.... - Positive reinforcement training - Dogs with leash aggression - Dogs who resource guard - Anxious dogs - Medications (diabetic, shots, inhalers meds) for Cats & Dogs - Dogs who have separation anxiety I'm currently unemployed and looking to add as many new clients as possible! Currently I do an East Lake/Ivy Hill dog walk with 3-4 dogs in the mornings at 8am. I'd love to get clients that are within a 10-15 minute walk from my house near Bella Vista Park. I have a fenced in yard and space in my home to separate animals as needed. Ideally if you need boarding our animals would meet. My dog is a calm 4 year old spaniel and will tell a younger/hyper dog to chill with a bark. He does enjoy some rough-housing with the right dog but mainly you can find him sleeping in his bed. I have a vehicle and know where the nearest Emergency vets are located.

About: Hi! We are two animal lovers who have had pets of all kinds throughout our lives. Chrystal has raised dogs, cats, fish, iguanas, guinea pigs, and other small furry creatures. Daniel was raised on many acres with many furry and farm animals as pets. Our family consists of ourselves, 2 kids, and 2 adorable cats. Our sweet, large goof of a dog recently passed and we miss him dearly. We both work from home with a flexible schedule, so have plenty of opportunity to support your family's needs. We both have years of experience dog and cat sitting. We are comfortable and experienced with all breeds and ages and can provide medication as needed. Daniel is also uniquely skilled with larger dogs who need extra support, confidence, or attention when walking or near others. If your pet is not comfortable with kids and/or cats we can easily accommodate with scheduling and separation. Reach out with any questions and we look forward to meeting your furry family! We work from home with a flexible schedule and so can easily schedule time away during the day. One of us is available evenings as well. In the winter months we are away for the weekend, so only available weekdays (Sun eve - Fri midday) We like to know from you what makes your pet the most comfortable in their space. Any guidance is appreciated! We leave a space cleaner than we found it and are natural organizers. If you are traveling, We are particularly thoughtful about how you'd like to leave the house with lights on\off, etc.

About: I provide organized, structured, and safe care with strong intuition. Calm and loving, I create a peaceful environment where every pet feels happy, secure, and valued. I am pet cpr and first aid certified (see photos for certificate) Both my cats get wet food twice a day. I play with them daily, clean their litter box daily, and make sure they each have their own safe space at home. Cleaning my home dialy, making sure items that are not safe to eat or chew on are not available, I also make sure they have pletny of places to scratch, and be cats.

Francesca S.
“I can’t recommend Francesca highly enough! From the moment we met, it was clear she had a natural connection with animals. Our dog, Cali is usually shy around new people, not an issue with Francesca, they bonded right away. Cali wasn’t just well taken care of, she was genuinely happy, which we could see from the daily updates, photos, and videos Francesca sent. Francesca truly goes above and beyond, treating every pet like her own. She’s reliable, attentive, and clearly has a deep love for animals. Knowing Cali was in such capable and loving hands gave us so much peace of mind. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again! She also takes care of and rides horses, so you know she's excellent with all pet sensibilities and can handle dogs no matter where they are on the aggression spectrum.”
